July 23 ~ Our time in between - Chapter 3.

This is another imagine from me. I know I have done this kind of thing before. Multiple times actually. But I heard this song and I think I can make it work again. Just put on the song when it says so in the imagine and you will understand what I mean (hopefully) :)

This is the third chapter for 'Our time in between'.

The room felt strangely quiet as you stood there alone. The library was normally a busy, but quiet, place where you could always go if you wanted to. Thorin had built it for you when Erebor was still being built.

Instead of what he wanted, you had opened it up for all the residents of the mountain. There was no way that you could read all the books in there yourself. The wisdom and the words needed to be shared with everyone who wanted to read them. That's what books were made for.

Your husband had understood once you had explained it to him. It was what he admired in you; that giving nature and your love for books. He had never caught you being selfish or unwilling to share. It was who you were and what made him proud to call you his.

Normally you were sure of your case, able to make decisions without hesitation. But this was the first time you were nervous in years.

Lately, Thorin and you had developed a little pattern that had you both blushing and laughing. Some of the closest people around you had noticed the change in you. The new pattern was the reason why your love only grew each and every day.

The king was positively beaming every time it happened. He became more protective over you but it was something you didn't mind one bit. It felt nice to have someone next to you who loved you so that he would do this for you.

Thorin was known to be not so good at sharing his feelings with others. Now, he had find a way to expres his feelings. It had all started with a song you had sung for him a few weeks ago.

He first thought that it was a song from your own world, but you soon confessed that you had written it for him. The smile that he wore then couldn't be wiped off his face for the next two weeks after that. Even his nephews thought that he had lost his mind.

From that point on had he send you secret notes in between meetings. They always contained a small poem or his thoughts. You could talk about those notes all night long, kissing each other and just cuddling, feeling the other close to you.

That's what he loved most. To hold his love close to his heart.

Your palms were getting sweaty as you were waiting for him. The dwarf that would guide you by playing the violin was sitting a few steps away from you. Thorin wouldn't like it if he sat too close. No matter why he was there.

His chair was sitting empty in front of you. It was waiting for the king to arrive.

Last time you had sung for him, you had done it in your own bedroom. It had been very special with the fireplace heating the whole room up. The candles that were still burning. His eyes that were sparkling as he watched you.

The door to the library opened. Thorin walked in, still wearing his crown.

You used to take it off his head as he walked into your shared bedroom. In his room he was you suitor, king, your man, not a king. He could relax when he was with you.

A bright smile played on his lips as he came closer.

You had put on a special dress for him. One that brought out your figure really well. His eyes began to sparkle like they had done a few weeks back. He never failed to show you he loved you.

'Good evening my king' you greeted him.

Instead of sitting down, Thorin first came to you to kiss you passionately. 'Good evening âmrâlime. I didn't know that we wouldn't be alone' he said, nodding his head towards the other dwarf.

You motioned for him to sit down on the chair. 'I have prepared something for you my love. I can't play the violin and sing at the same time yet. I am still practising.'

His face began to shine. 'Have you written another song?' he asked excited.

'Just be patient. I can't begin if you are not quiet' you teased.

He leaned back in his chair, supporting his head on one hand, a finger in front of his lips.

The violin began to play. You waited for the right time to begin;

I wear your winter coat
The one you love to wear
So I can feel in close
To was beyond compare

The moment waking up
You catch me in your eyes
That beauty on my pillow
They haunt me in the night

And I will find my strength to untame my mouth
When I used to be afraid of the words
But with you I've learned just to let it out
Now my heart is ready to burst

Cause I, I feel like I'm ready for love
And I wanna be your everything and more
And I know every day you say it
But I just want you to be sure
That I am yours

If I've been feeling heavy
You take me from the dark
Your arms they keep me steady
So nothing can falling apart

And I will find my strength to untame my mouth
When I used to be afraid of the words
But with you I've learned just to let it out
Now my heart is ready to burst

Cause I, I feel like I'm ready for love
And I wanna be your everything and more
And I know every day you say it
But I just want you to be sure
That I am yours

That I am yours

He applauded slowly when you were finished. The dwarf with the violin hurried away to give the two of you some room.

Thorin stood up, walking towards you to grab your hands.

'Just know that I do it all gladly and with a loving heart. Are you-' he took a deep breath. 'Are you sure that you are willing to spend the rest of your life with me?'

You leaned in to his touch as he laid his hand against your cheek.

'I have never had a doubt my love' you said softly.

The kiss you then shared was slow.

He leaned his forehead against yours.

'I am glad that I am the lucky one to have you. Don't ever think that I take you for granted' he said, his voice heavy.

You smiled up at him. 'I know how much you love me, even though we can't always express our love in words.'
