This imagine was requested by lunawolf8074 ; Imagine walking in on Bofur taking a bath/he walks in on you taking a bath. I hope this is what you wanted!

The rain had finally stopped and you had stopped to set up camp. Everyone was taking things slow, not wasting the energy they didn't have. When you first ran after your cousin to join him on his quest, you never thought about all the discomforts that would come along with it. There wasn't always food on the road, nor could you take as many naps as you would like. It was definitely hard. Those three weeks had worn you down. You got off the back of your pony and grabbed your bag. 'Where are you going?' your cousin, Bilbo, asked you.

You had stayed closely together for these past three weeks but you almost had enough of him. You needed some alone time. Dwalin and Balin had just made their way back to camp. There was a small lake close to the camp and many used it to drink fresh water or to bath in it. Thorin had been smart when he ordered everyone to wait with cleaning themselves before the ones who wanted to gather water were done. It would have been so unhealthy, and dirty, if everyone was done out of order.

'I believe the lake is empty now' you answered Bilbo's question. 'That means that I can finally have some alone time and bath myself. I can smell myself Bilbo' you said horrified. He send you a shy blush. 'Do you... do you need someone to come with you?' he asked. You shook your head. 'I'll be fine. Thorin said that these lands are quite safe. Otherwise, you will hear my scream soon enough.' You grabbed a small towel and some clean clothes from your bag and started to make your way towards the refreshing water. How good would it feel if all the dirt was off your skin.

You could already see it all happening; you were laying there in the nice cold water. Your skin finally clean and smelling nice again. You sighed. Simply wonderful. Was there anything else a hobbit could want? You were so caught up in your daydream that you didn't notice the clothing laying on the ground. Instead, you continued onwards and neatly folded your clothes and laid them down on a rock near the water. The sun felt so good on your back. You stretched to let the sun wander your whole form. Maybe you would even get a teint from this quest.

'I didn't know you hobbits were so free' a joyful voice came from the water. You yelped and covered your body as you tried to find the person who had spoken. Bofur lay in the water, on his back, happily smiling at you. 'Ma-ma-master dwarf... I-I hadn't seen you... Of course I hadn't, if I had then I... Well, then I wouldn't have been standing here' you tried to explain what happened, embarassed by the whole situation. Bofur simply chuckled. 'Don't mind it, you have nothing on you that I have not seen before' he said with a wink. You let out a scandalized cry.

'Dwarves and their stupid... Can you at least turn around when I put my clothes back on?' you asked, not understanding how dwarves could act so easy around nude strangers. Instead of giving you an answer, Bofur stood up in the water and put his hands in his side. His smile was still intact. 'Why? Are you feeling a bit shy? We will be traveling together for a few months, maybe more then a year. We will see plenty of each other.' He quickly ducked when a small twig was been thrown at him. He turned around with a smile. 'At least tell me when you are leaving so that I can continue bathing' he said, his voice filled with joy. Dwarves...

He heard you walk away before you finally yelled: 'I'm gone!' Bofur laughed, laying down in the cool water. It was beyond him why he wasn't allowed to see your naked body. It was not like there was anything wrong with it... Quite the opposite, actually.

You were walking behind Elrond and Lindir as they had their private talk. You were lucky to be a hobbit or they would have already noticed your presence. Maybe they simply didn't mind because they conversed in Elvish. From a far you could hear the laughter of the dwarves. Somehow, it seemed to become clearer as you moved forward. As long as they behaved themselves, you were sure that there would be no problem. You followed the elves as they walked around a corner. The sky was a beautiful clear blue today, the birds were singing, naked dwarves were restling in the fountain, the sun was shining... Naked dwarves?

You rolled your eyes and tried to ignore the looks on the elves' faces. You simply had enough of them. They were a rowdy bunch and really didn't care about the feelings of others. First, they wouldn't leave you alone while bathing because it was 'too dangerous'. So you always had to take a bath while in the presence of a strange dwarf. Second, you had refuged to take a bath with a dwarf near you so you simply didn't bath. And you hated it. Your skin was disgusting, your clothes were disgusting and you felt disgusting. Thankfully, Elrond had offered you to take a bath in the elven bath house.

He had also offered this to the dwarves but of course they were too good for any normal bathtub. The fountains were a better idea. How come you had never thought of that? Because you had morals. That's why.

You walked back to the place you thought the elven bath house was. Luckily for you, you found it immediately. Faith must be on your side, you thought with a happy grin. You quickly threw all your clothes on the ground and jumped into the nearest bathtub. This was nothing like you, but you hadn't taken a bath for far too long. Besides, there was no other hobbit around. No one would think any less of you as long as you didn't tell anyone. The cold of the water first startled you a bit but soon you were enjoying it. The dirt was coming off your skin. It felt amazing.

If only you could stay here for the rest of your life. You wouldn't mind all the wrinkles on your skin. This was all a hobbit could ask for. Close to your arm stood a small table which presented you various bottles of soap. There was one with the smell of lavender, one with the smell of roses... and one with daisies! You reached for it excitedly, almost pooring all of the liquid into the water. You sank down with your face barely above the water, fully enjoying the feeling of being clean again. That's why you didn't hear the sound of footsteps coming in. And that's also why you didn't notice someone sitting down next to the bathtub.

'You haven't looked so relaxed since the day I met you' Bofur's voice brought you back from your trance. You were shocked, trying to get out of the tub to reach for a towel, but only being able to get your head beneath the water and almost drowning. Bofur was shocked by your reaction. Quickly, he put his hands beneath the water to try and grab your shoulders. When he finally got a hold of you, he pulled you up. You slapped his hands. What did that dwarf think he was doing? 'Do you honestly have no manners what so ever?' you yelled in a high pitched voice.

Bofur raised his hands. 'You were drowning, I couldn't just sit here and let that happen (y/n)' he explained. You huffed, crossing your arms. 'I wouldn't have been drowning if you had let me know you were coming in. Instead you decided to sneak in and startle me while I was taking a bath.' Bofur offered you a towel and you gladly took it when you realized you were still naked. Stupid dwarves.

'I only meant to keep our promise to Thorin' he said. You raised an unimpressed eyebrow. 'What promise?' Bofur sighed. 'The promise that we would look after each other while bathing, so that none of us would be alone' he reminded you. Was he seriously talking about that? 'We are at Rivendell, what can happen to us here?' you asked with a slight hint of anger in your voice. Dwarves and their stupid hate of elves... Stupid dwarves. And their stupid protectiveness. Everything was stupid about them. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

'I don't know what could happen, but I wouldn't like to see my âzyungâl getting hurt.' He looked deep into your eyes as he said this. Not once had he looked down to check out your body. It was something you weren't used to. And what did that word mean? 'Well... I thank you for looking after me. I kind of appreciate it' you said, unsure of what to make of this dwarven word. He nodded. 'I will turn my face away from you while you're bathing, if that's what you want. But I will stay here until you are done. I don't know if I could live with it if something happened to you while I could have prevented it.'

For a few seconds you stared deep into each other's eyes. Your cheeks heated up as Bofur smiled a soft smile at you and sat down on the ground. His face facing the other way. You laid down in the bathtub again. Your head now filled with images of Bofur instead of getting clean.
