July 15 - II - Part 2

Imagine requested by CarrieWatson2 ; Imagine you are a hobbit who visits Rivendell with the Company, and you are in love with Lord Elrond.

After Rivendell, the company continued on their way. The dwarves were beyond excited to leave the elven city. They would finally be in their own habitat again; the mountains.

You tried to follow them to the best of your abilities. It mostly meant that you were hanging on to Fili to make sure you wouldn't slip and fall. Bofur also tried to hold on to you to make sure you really wouldn't fall.

They didn't want to lose their hobbits. One, because they needed someone to check if the dragon was still alive when they reached Erebor.

And two, you were their hobbits, Bilbo and you. You had become a part of their kin, not just of their company. You would be protected like they protected each other.

Their acceptance of Bilbo had gone fast because of you. Lasses were rare among dwarves, so they treasured them with a fierce protectiveness.

This lead other races to believe dwarves came from stone.

Bilbo and you knew better because you had read many stories. Also, they had told you about it themselves. That part was the most helpful for your knowledge.

Stories were told, laughs were shared and hugs were given after a while.

Nearly being killed by orc's had the effect that bonds were created faster. Trusting each other was important when you could be attacked at any moment.

For instance; when two young princes told the company that there was an unoccupied cave nearby where they could sleep savely. And then the cave would split open and goblins would come out.

Then the company would be tracked down, nearly killed, rings would be found, etc, etc.

You really needed to trust each other at moments like that. Even though one could start doubting everything the princes said. After all, they also managed to lose some ponies when they were 'watching them'.

No one dared to ask questions when Thorin glared at them. So no one found out what truly happened.

And Thorin couldn't have more respect for the two hobbits in his company when they rushed down the tree to save him from the white orc.

Truth be told, you both nearly got crushed because of the strength in his arms, but it was a kind gesture. A gesture of friendship.

The dwarves didn't take it kindly when the shapeshifter called their hobbits 'little rabbits'. They were the only ones who should be allowed to cuddle with you. Your hair was only theirs to ruffle.

Any one of them was happy when they could finally leave to continue on their quest. The shapeshifter would finally stop touching the two of you. The dwarves had their stuffed hobbits back.

At least, they thought they did.

'Why are there dwarves traveling through my forest without permission?'

The dwarves had pushed Bilbo and you in the middle of their circle. This way you would be safer. Elves couldn't be trusted.

Thranduil was standing in front of the company with a smug smile.

'It is none of your business' Thorin growled.

Thranduil shook his head. 'You are wrong. It is my forest, so it is my business to know what is going on in there. Especially when it concerns smelly dwarves.' He walked back up to his throne.

'Smelly? Do you even know who you are talking to?' Gloin shouted.

'Aye! We are from the line of Durin, you can't talk to us like that!' Ori jumped in. Dori quickly put a hand over his mouth.

Bilbo was trying to hide behind Bombur, which wasn't that hard, while you tried to get a better look. Ori wasn't that tough so you had no problem of getting in front of the company.

Dwalin tried to grab you and pull you back when he noticed.

'Wait' Thranduil suddenly said, coming back up from his throne. 'Who is that?'

Thorin and Fili put themselves in front of you to hide you from the elven king. Kili came up behind you to glare at him.

You weren't sure what was going on. But you did know that you had a serious obsession with elves. First Elrond and now this blonde haired god.

'My name is (y/n)' you said, hoping that he would hear you even though he couldn't hear you anymore.

He was drop dead gorgeous to you. His lean figure, his hair, that smug smile.... Ahhhh. How could anyone control themselves around him?

Thorin closed his eyes in annoyance. Fili and Kili looked at you in confusion.

'What are you doing?' Kili asked.

Realisation dawned on Fili. 'Her elf fascination.'

The company broke out in a sound that could only be described as: 'Oooooooh.'

In the meantime, Thranduil had come back down. He was taller then the dwarves and he could see you without a problem.

'Hair like starlight and a voice like a thousand rays of sun. How can it be that you have never crossed my path before?'

His eyes were focused on you with a beautiful light that shone like you had never seen before. Your heart was stolen. And you weren't sure you wanted it back.

'The dwarves can go. She stays' Thranduil ordered.

The company broke out in a huge roar as they were dragged away. Normally, they were unstopable but the elves were able to drag them out by pointing their swords at them.

'The lass is hopeless. Why does she even like tree shaggers?' Kili asked confused as he eyes the red haired elf that was dragging him forward.

'As long as he treats her with respect, I think it should be fine' Bilbo said.

Thorin turned around. He looked at the hobbit like he had lost his mind.

Back up at the throne room, Thranduil had offered you his courtship. You accepted it gladly.
