July 1

This is the first day of the Celebration! Like I said before, we will start with 11 days of me publishing the requested imagines. Some days will have two drabbles because there are more then 11 imagines waiting on the waitinglist. Don't forget to let me know what you would like to see after that. Tell me about your ideas for the next 10 days and we can all decide what is going to happen :)

This imagine was requested by @lovesveea; Imagine Haldir surviving the battle of Helm's Deep. He believes you died, but you didn't. Then, he finds you alive...

So many dead bodies surounded him. They had fought like the trained army they were. No one was left behind if they could still walk by themselves. It was everything he had hoped for. Haldir couldn't believe that he had survived the battle. Those two orc's who had cornered him came afwully close to cutting his head off. Luckily for him, you were still close enough to help him out. Together you had fought off many of the orc's who came your way. Right before he lost sight of you. One moment you were right behind him, slaying orc's here, there, everywhere. When suddenly you were nowhere to be seen. Haldir had cried out your name but got no response.

He had tried to find you while dodging arrows and shielding himself from sword-attacks. There were so many orc's around that it was close to impossible to see anyone else but them. Occasionally he could see another elf, whom he of course helped when they were in trouble. But he would always check his surroundings to see if he could see a hint of you anywhere. Now, the battle had been fought and won and several groups of elves went through the bodies to recover their dead. They deserved a proper burial, each and every one of them, for they had fought hard and fierce.

Haldir volunteered to go with a small group of elves to seek among the dead, for you. It was a miracle that nothing had happened to him when you were the only thing that was on his mind. He could still remember the smile that you only showed to him, the smile that had caused him to fall in love with you. The only thing that he wanted was to see that beautiful light again that radiated from your whole body. Several groups of elves came walking their way, carrying a few bodies in between them. Haldir hurried towards them to check if he would find you there.

The first two weren't you. Slowly, he started to feel relief that you weren't with them. For now you were still not among the fallen. And still missing. He could only hope to find you alive or else to find your body to be able to bury you. Many of the bodies that lay faced down on the ground were that of orc's. They would all be thrown on a big pile and set on fire. That was the only faith they deserved.

Minutes passed into hours and many gave up the search. Everyone thought they had found everybody that they could find. They stopped the search, everyone accept Haldir. He didn't want to hear what they told him. He would find you, no matter how long it would take. There was no way that you hadn't survived this. Haldir had trained you himself when you were young and he knew that it was hard to knock you off of your feet. You wouldn't fall easily.

Many times he yelled your name, hoping that you were able to hear him. It was past midnight when he was still searching for you. He didn't feel tired, even if he did he didn't want to feel it at the moment. He couldn't afford to not keep looking for you. What if you would die when he decided to rest? Haldir turned over yet another body only to find that it wasn't you either. A sadness filled his body, he started to realize that you were dead. Wouldn't he have found you already if you weren't?

Then, he noticed something in the distance. It was a red scarf, that stood out of the darkness where it lay. New hope filled Haldir's heart. You always wore a red scarf, your father had given it to you when you were young. He rushed forward, not paying attention to the places his feet landed. '(Y/N)!' he yelled. He would do anything for you if you were still alive. Literally anything. He came closer and closer but still it felt like he was so far away from you. You were so close now. He could make out your face and noticed an arrow sticking out of your shoulder.

He slowed down when he neared you and knelt down beside your head. His hand was slowly cupping your cheek as he leaned in to check if you were still alive. He didn't want to feel that you had no heartbeat. For a moment he hesitated, when he felt your breath against his hand.

'I am not dead... you know' you said through a strangled voice.

Haldir closed his eyes. 'Let's get you home again' he says. Carefully , he picks you up, trying not to hurt you any further.

You try to open your eyes to look at your One but it proofs to be too hard for you.

'Rest, love, you can see me for the rest of your life. You will not die now that I have found you' Haldir says.

A small smile creeps up on your lips. 'I kept thinking of you... I knew that you would find me' you murmured.

'You should save your energy (y/n).'

'Don't tell me to- to shut up when I am practically dying' you joked.

Haldir carried you all the way back to camp where the healers could look after you. 'Don't leave my side' you begged him when the healers wanted him to leave so they could operate on you.

'I won't ever leave your side' he promised you. He sat down next to you and hold your hand in his. He was there every minute to see no mistakes were being made.
