Imagine talking to Kili about Fili

Imagine requested by emwillen ; Imagine talking to Kili about an argument you had with Fili.

'Are you serious? How could you do that!' you yelled at your suitor, Fili.

He was standing in front of you after he had told you what he had done.

'I didn't know, alright? Let's just put this behind us. For once try not to make such a big deal out of it' he said sharply.

You huffed in annoyance. 'Not make a big deal about it? Are you kidding me? You were staring at her like she was a piece of meat! I am your consort!' you semi-shouted.

Fili rolled his eyes. 'I knew you would see this the wrong way. I was merely admiring her weapons.'

'Aye, you were, but not the weapons she fights with,'

'Can we not talk about this right now? We need to go back to camp' Fili said. He walked past you to lead the way. There was a stern expression on his face.

You followed. The only reason why you didn't slap him was because he was a prince. Thorin wouldn't be happy if he saw your handprint on his nephews cheek.

'Of course you don't want to talk about it. You know you are in the wrong here' you growled.

Fili took a deep breath but continued on his way. 'Just go back to camp with me. We will talk about this later when you have calmed down' he said.

Not another word was said as you walked back to camp. You were too busy calming yourself down. And trying hard not to cry in front of him.

Truth be told that he had never been unfaithful to you. He had never even looked at another woman. Until today.

When you returned, you walked away from Fili to help Bofur with preparing dinner. You didn't see the hurt expression that covered his face.

Nor did you after when you sat as far away from him as you could.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kili sat on watch tonight for nearly losing another pony. This was the second time he had almost lost one. And Thorin had had enough.
This time he wasn't the only one to blame. Fili was supposed to watch them with him. After the troll fiasco, they had to prove to Thorin that they could watch the ponies without them getting eating.
But Fili had asked his brother to do it on his own. He had wanted to take you to the town to buy you something.
Judging by the look on your face, it hadn't gone too well.
Fili was sleeping alone on his bedroll. You had actually moved yours away before the company had gotten a chance to eat.
Kili had gone to his brother to ask what had happened but he hadn't received an answer. Fili hadn't even looked up at him. He had left the camp to go fishing.
That also wasn't a good sign.
His older brother never shut him out.
The young dwarf was cleaning his dagger as he sat against a tree. The night way young and there were no sounds that sounded suspicous.
Most dwarves were already asleep. A lot of the older ones had been practicing their fighting skills today. It had worn them out.
Maybe he would have the chance to practice with Thorin tomorrow morning. It was always fun to battle against his uncle. There was still so much left to learn.
And he would teach Kili something while training. Dwalin just tried to kill him, it seemed. Though master Dwalin called it 'a good workout for young ducklings'.
Fili might like to practice tomorrow too. Kili didn't know what had happened but he was sure that it would cheer his brother up.
*Crack*
Kili shot up from the ground with his sword drawn. He had heard a sound coming from nearby.
There weren't the usual sounds from orc's, or the smell, so the enemy wasn't that dangerous.
The young dwarf walked behind the trees to make sure he wasn't seen.
Dwalin had stirred in his sleep because of the sound but hadn't moved any further.
He moved silently, trying to keep listening for further movement. Kili saw something moving at his left.
Carefully, he approached the figure with his sword in hand. Wait...
'(Y/N)?' he asked unsure.
The figure in front of him froze. You carried a bag on your back. It seemed like you had packed all your belongings in there.
'What are you doing?' he asked. He was trying to keep his tone down so that he wouldn't wake anybody up.
You didn't turn around when you answered him. 'I am going Kili.'
Kili lowered his sword. He frowned. 'Why would you leave us? We need you here on the quest. Everyone will be worried about you when they see that you're gone.'
'Not everyone' you whispered.
The tone in your voice didn't go unnoticed by the young dwarf. '(Y/N), what is the matter? Why do you want to leave all of a sudden?'
The only answer he got was the sound of a cricket.
He moved a little closer to you. Softly, he put his hand on your back to comfort you. 'Please, tell me what is going on. Does it have something to do with my brother?'
You turned around sharply. 'Don't dare talking about your brother' you hissed.
Kili would have taken a step back if he hadn't seen the tears in your eyes. He hadn't been far off the mark.
'Sit down so that we can talk. You are not leaving if he did something stupid' Kili said stubbornly.
A snarky comeback was right there on your lips but the tears came instead. You leaned with your back against the nearest tree and let yourself drop down to the ground.
Kili didn't really know what to do so he sat down next to you and wrapped an arm around you. He gave you some time to collect yourself. He didn't want to push you when you were clearly upset.
'He even looked me in the eyes and told me he didn't do it!' you semi-yelled.
Kili almost got a heart-attack. You had been silent for a while and suddenly you had started shouting. The poor dwarf needed some time to calm himself down.
He laid a hand on his chest and felt his heart racing.
'Can you believe it? His eyes were clearly on other parts then her swords. That he could lie to me like that!' you continued.
That gave Kili some more insight in the problem. That was probably the reason why you were upset; another woman.
'You still haven't told me what happened' he reminded you.
You huffed. 'You man are all the same. You will probably only agree with him anyway.'
He caressed your back. 'We can only find out if you tell me what happened and let me respond.'
More tears rolled down your cheeks. 'He looked at another woman. And then he lied to me, telling me that he had only looked at her weapons. I totally saw what he looked at!'
You threw yourself in Kili's arms. He hesitantly pulled you closer. If Fili saw this... Oh boy would he be in trouble.
'There there' he tried but to no avail. Luckily for him it was midnight and his brother couldn't his brother half-cuddling his consort. Now that he thought about it, he should be on watch.
'I am sorry' you said in between hiccups. 'You probably don't have time for this. I am keeping you from your task.'
Kili shook his head. 'Don't talk like that. I am here for you (y/n). I am sure that we will be fine. Who would attack us at night?'
You showed him a small smile.
'Besides, I have never seen Fili so happy before. I would hate to see you guys split up because of a mistake.'
'Kili, he was looking at another woman' you said determined.
He tilted his head to one side. 'Are you sure? You know how fascinated Fili is with weapons. We both know how much he carries with him' Kili joked.
You chuckled. 'Aye, that is true.'
Kili shifted to sit more comfortable. 'And you seem to forget that even when we had to rest in a brothel, his eyes didn't wander from you for even a second. There was plenty to look at in that place.'
'That's true' you admitted reluctantly.
'And why would he go out to buy a ring and ask you to marry him if he wants another woman?' Kili asked with a smile.
Your mouth dropped.
Kili didn't understand why you looked shocked. He had only just told you that... Oh.
Oh boy.
Kili's face fell.
He wasn't supposed to tell you that.
Was he?
'Well, can you just, like, forget that I told you that?' Kili tried.
'He wants to marry me?' you asked. Immediately, you got up from the ground. 'I can't believe I was so stupid. And to think that I was thinking about leaving...'
'It really isn't your fault (y/n)' Kili said.
An afwul smell suddenly penetrated your nose. You stuck your nose in the air to smell it better. 'What is that?' you asked disgusted.
Kili followed your lead. 'That is disgusting.'
All of a sudden, a single orc out from a bush with his axe ready to cut you in half. Kili quickly tried to grab his sword but the axe was already falling down.
You put your hands in front of your face so you didn't have to see what was going to happen.
Another sound came from your left. There was a loud roar and the sound of something heavy falling down to the ground.
A loud cry erupted from the orc. If it was happy or mad, you couldn't tell. Honestly, you were still waiting for the pain that would come with the axe hitting you.
It never came.
Kili was the first to notice your saviour. He relaxed, telling you that it was safe to open your eyes.
'I thought you were supposed to be on watch' Fili said, panting heavily.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He had been sleeping when he heard your scream.

Fili had tried to stay awake to watch over you. Normally, you were sleeping in his arms so he could feel how you were doing. If your breath was steady, you were doing alright. If it was rapid, there was something wrong.

Now he had to look at you to make sure everything was still fine. He still couldn't believe that you thought he had looked at another woman.

Her swords were truly amazing, he just had to look at them. But looking at her? Never.

Fili had fallen asleep after a while. He didn't expect tht you would get up in the middle of the night to leave camp and return to Ered Luin.

When he heard your scream he had woken up instantly. A bit disorientated at first but he could movement in a certain part behind the treeline.

The other dwarves hadn't heard your high-pitched squeek. It was probably too high for the elders to hear.

He ran as fast as his feet could carry him. And thankfully just in time to safe you.

For one or another reason, his brother wasn't able to draw his sword in time.

You were covering your face. A few seconds later and you would have been cut in half.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'FILI!' you cried, running at him to throw yourself in his arms.
He pulled you close to him. '(Y/N), why are you here and not in your bedroll? You could have gotten hurt.'
Kili couldn't help but think that Fili sounded like Thorin just now. Speaking of him, maybe he should go look for his uncle to find out why he didn't get up wh-
'You are not going anywhere.'
Kili stopped dead in his track. 'What's wrong brother? I wanted to give (y/n) and you some privacy.'
Fili glared at him. 'Next time you stay on watch like you are supposed to so that nothing can happen to my One' he nearly growled.
His younger brother bowed and quickly walked away afterwards. Dwarves were posessive over their One. Especially when they nearly got killed.
'I will never get so close to losing you again' Fili says as he burries his face in your hair.
You welcome his warmth. With him you are safe. 'I am so sorry that I tried to walk away. It was a stupid idea. Kili and I talked about it just now. I am sorry for thinking that you would look at another woman' you blurted out.
Fili froze.
'You tried to leave?'
'I-' You pulled away. 'I was mad at you. You didn't even want to talk to me about it. So, I figured that if you'd rather look at other woman that I might as well go back to Ered Luin' you said, looking down at the ground.
He put his finger under your chin to get you to look up.
'That was a dangerous thing to do. How do you think I would feel if I lost you? Knowing that I drove you to walk away from me?'
'Nothing happened, you were on time. I didn't leave. I was going to lay back down next to you' you said.
With his other hand, Fili caressed your cheek. 'And what if I had not been on time? You could have been slaughtered right in front of me and there is nothing I could have done about it.'
You swallowed. It was a truth you weren't ready to face yet. He had been on time, that was all that counted.
'More important, you have forgiven me?' Fili asked carefully.
You nodded. 'I was a fool for thinking that way. Please, forgive me?' you pleaded.
He closed the gap between your lips and kissed you passionately. 'There is no reason for me not to forgive you.'
Fili let go of you and knelt down on one knee.
You gasped in surprise.
'Âmrâlime, I know this may seem sudden, but... I didn't get the chance to ask you this a few hours ago. Would you do me the honor, of becoming my wife?' Fili grabbed the ring he had bought from his pocket and presented it to you.
It was a beautiful, large ring of gold with an amethyst at the top.
'It would be my honor to become your wife' you said.
Fili smiled brightly as he slipped the ring around your finger. 'I am yours, forever. No other woman will ever grab my attention' he said.
You smiled. 'I know you will be faithful and so will I.'
You sealed this magic moment with a kiss.
