Imagine Fili seeing you for the first time (in forever) - Part 2

The second part for this imagine was requested by four of you; AmalieKurt - lunawolf8074 - AngieOakenshield1816 - RashaDarkblade89. So here it is!

You tried to sneak inside by hiding behind the guards as you made your way towards your father. He didn't look too happy. Your mother was standing beside him. She was probably trying to calm him down.

It wasn't like you could help being late. You just had to explore outside once the gates opened. And the other royal family wasn't even here yet. They were just worrying over nothing again.

If only that last guard wouldn't have moved you would h- '(Y/N)! Where were you?' your father hissed when he caught you.

You grinned silly at him. It always worked to get out of trouble.

'Dear, she isn't exactly late. They have not arrived yet' your mother said behind him.

The king took a deep breath. Two women were simply too much to handle at once.

'Fine. But we will have a talk about this young lady, this conversation is not ov-'

The trumpets began playing inside. They were close, probably waiting for a closed door before they could come inside.

Your mother quickly grabbed your wrist and made you stand beside her. She put on her most shining smile and nudged for you to do the same. Your father straightened his back and took a few steps forwards.

The doors swung open.

And your mouth dropped.

In front of the visiting family walked a strong dwarf. His hair was black with a few grey hairs here and there. His beard wasn't that long. The dark blue clothes looked great on him.

But behind him... You put your hand in front of your face. Very not-princess like. The dwarf you had almost run over was walking behind him.

He had saw you standing next to your mother and was looking at you with a slight smirk.

'Behave yourself' your mother hissed at you.

You rolled your eyes, your cheeks were a dark red.

The dark haired dwarf stopped in front of the throne and bowed.

'King Thorin! I hope you have had a save trip' your father welcomed the other king. They banged their heads against each other.

'We did. Thank you for your warm welcome. I hope we didn't make the trip for nothing' he said, clearly some sort of a joke among old friends.

While they were talking, Fili walked up to you and bowed. You outstretched your hand for him to take. He gladly took it and placed a soft, tickling kiss on your soft skin.

'My lady. It is so nice to be able to look in your eyes this time' he said playfully.

Your cheeks heated up further. 'Aye, it is prince Fili. Though I didn't mind the catching part.'

You looked into his soft and tender eyes. This was definitely a dwarf you didn't mind falling in love with. Maybe it had already happened.

'You mean you have already met?' your father asked confused. He stared from you to Fili. Not sure if he should be alarmed or not.

Thorin stood next to him, his arms crossed but an amused smile played on his lips.

'Excuse me, I have not introduced myself to you yet' Fili said, bowing. 'I am prince Fili. I come here to ask you for the hand of your daughter.'

Your father was dumbfounded. 'How did you meet my daughter?' he asked confused.

'Allow me to explain' you said quickly. You didn't want Fili to tell everything in exact detail...

Fili nodded, allowing you to take the honour.

'Just this morning, I was feeding my horse. You know, because that has to happen every so often. Then, I decided to go back to the castle. I wouldn't risk being late on such a special day' you spoke sweetly.

Fili was trying very hard to keep a straight face. Your father was trying not to glare too much at you.

'But when I was walking back I looked back at my horse one more time. That's why I wasn't looking where I placed my feet and I accidentally walked up against prince Fili.' You looked at him with a smile.

'Luckily I was able to catch her or she would have hurt herself' he joined in. 'May I say that you have some beautiful stables in this kingdom?' he added.

No one in the whole room believed your version but that didn't matter. None of them would question you right now.

'I'd say the lass was pretty lucky indeed. Now, are we done will all the niceties? I smell cookies. Or at least a pie or two' a bald dwarf spoke up.

Your father was too shocked from your story to react. So your mother had to jump in again. 'Aye master dwarf. You have an excellent nose. The food is this way' she said, leading everyone in the right direction.

Fili grabbed your hand to make you wait. Together you finally closed the line of relatives and followed them. You didn't mind having so much distance between you and your father right now. He was going to be so angry with you.

'Is there more I need to know than the fact that you are not allowed to leave the castle on your own?' he asked quietly.

You shrugged. 'I am a good girl. I would never do anything that I was not permitted to do.'

Fili chuckled, grabbing your hand as an innocent gesture. 'That only means I have to keep a close eye on you.'
