Thought I'd make a preference before I go to sleep!

Frodo: You were both by your special spot in the forest. He was carving something into the tree as you read your favorite book. The moment you looked up to the initials and a cute heart around it, those three special words slipped out and were happily returned.

Sam: You went over to his humble hole for dinner one night. You laughed and talked all evening, it was getting late so he walked you home, and just before you went in the words slipped from his mouth. All you could do was smile and return the feelings.

Pippin: You were both walking around the market in town, he was helping you get food to stock up your pantry. He was telling you tales of old he heard of, and funny stories of times he got in trouble alongside he best friend Merry. You were laughing and the words came simply out of your mouth. He laughed, obviously feeling the same.

Merry: You were on an evening stroll with him, he was telling you all about his adventure with the fellowship, and you loved to hear it. He finished around the time you reached your hobbit hole and just when you said goodnight, he blurted it out. You giggled, of course saying it also

Aragorn: You lived in Rivedall being an elf, he came to see you as often as possible. It was after dinner that you went on a walk and on a bridge, he stopped you and all he said was those three words. You smiled and hugged him tightly, returning the feeling.

Legolas: It was much harder for him to say it, as he normally would just hint at it. You weren't really certain how he felt of you until the night of the starlight feast, the dwarves being in the Mirkwood cells, both of you guarding, he thought it was the right time to tell you how he felt. He said it in elvish of course so the dwarves wouldn't understand.

Gimli: It was the night spent in Moria, once Gandalf lost his way and everyone sat down, you comforted Gimli, it was then he told you of his feelings. They were very hidden before this sensitive state.

Thorin: (before the journey) He came by your home one lovely morning, giving you flowers he had found on his way. He brought you to the place where you first met. By the river, he told you in detail, exactly what he was feeling. No matter how soft it sounded. You only blushed and returned the words.

Fili: You were both on night watch one night, the company slept and you both sat on a rock near the fire. It was silent for a while, the first thing he took a.glance at you before finally speaking, the prince saying those three words made your heart flutter. All you responded with was a kiss on the cheek, but he knew you cared for him as well.

Kili: He hadn't told you until he felt his or your life was in danger, he was afraid of your response, but much more afraid that he would lose you before he had a chance to tell you how he felt. Of course he ended up alright, which made you returning the feelings a much more enjoyable experience for him.

Bilbo: He told you as the company, and you both were travelling on your ponies. You were both at the back, he was a cute awkward and you would have no doubt in returning his feelings.

Bard: He was worried about loving again, afraid to hurt his children, and of heartbreak. He invited you for dinner with his children. After dinner you both stood outside and looked at the stars, that was when he made his move and told you the words you were longing to hear.

Thranduil: After losing his first love, he was quite fearful to let another in. But you came in so softly, he fell harder then he expected. He couldn't hold it in much longer so he ordered one of the guards to go get you. You were alone with him, he came off his throne, slowly and cautiously approached you, and told you exactly, in every detail. How special you are to him.
