Legolas
Based in the hobbit time period not lord of the rings. This one, you are captain of guard much like tauriel but your you. Your out on a hunt at the beginning.
"(Y/n)! Behind you!" Legolas shouted to you, you turned around to kill the nasty spider.
You noticed the dwarves down below who were also fighting as best they could. You jumped down from the tall tree you stood in and helped them.

"Don't think I won't kill you dwarf it would be my pleasure." Legolas said harshly pointing his bow and arrow directly to the head of the dwarves leader.
"Bring this one to the king, the others to the dungeons." He said and the other elven guards roughly pushed the dwarves.
It took no time at all to get back to the kingdom. Legolas walked beside you the whole way back in silence. You reached the bridge to cross into the kingdom and you sensed darkness behind you.
You whipped around and held out your sword.
Nothing.
"Are you alright (y/n)?" Legolas asked.
"You feel it too." You said blankly your weapon still drawn.
Legolas looked around, as did you. Still nothing.
You sighed and put your sword away.
You turned back to the gates and went in, Legolas right behind you.

It was the night of the Starlight feast that night, and you couldn't keep your mind off of the happenings earlier that day. You knew something was there.
You looked in the mirror. Your long (y/h/c) hair down with beautiful braids holding some of it back. This night was required that you wear your best dress.
Yours was a light blue and white one, it flowed perfectly down your body.
You sighed and turned away from your reflection.
There was a knock on the door of your chambers.
"Come in." You said loud enough for whoever on the other side to hear.
The door opened and you turned to it. The elf was hidden for only a few more seconds before it revealed Legolas. Prince Legolas.
You grew up with this elf, you loved him deeply and he loved you. But King Thranduil didn't want his son to pledge himself to a lowly silven elf like you.
So your feelings were hidden from Legolas. Due to his father's orders.
"You look beautiful." Legolas spoke softly.
"As usual." He smiled.
You blushed and turned around to your balcony. You walked out to see the light. Starlight.
Legolas followed after a minute or so. He stood next to you, both leaning on the railing.
"Your father would not approve of you in my chambers." You said to Legolas while still looking at the light.
"I do not care what my father would approve of." He said looking at you.
You turned to him with a surprised expression.
"Legolas." You said looking down.
"(Y/n) I've come here for a reason." He said sincerely.
"Which is?" You looked into his ocean blue eyes.
"I am in love with you (y/n) and I know you feel the same..." He spoke softly.
"How do you know?" You said worried that his father had told him. You remembered the talk you had with Thranduil the evening before.
"Legolas thinks very well of you." He spoke
"He does? I am sure I am nothing but a captain of guard to him, my king." You said your back turned to him.
"He may have thought that once, yes, but now it seems his feelings have changed." You could feel his presence behind you.
"Oh." Was all you could manage to speak.
"There must be no way you would allow your son, the prince, to pleage himself to a lowly silven elf..." You were heartbroken by your own words.
"No, I would not. But do not lead him to believe there is a chance. When there is none." He said harshly.
"Yes, King Thranduil." You said quietly before leaving the room.
"I overheard." Legolas said snapping you out if your thoughts.
"Overheard?" You questioned.
"You were having a conversation with my father last evening, I came to speak with him before hand. I was down the hallway when I heard your voice. I came to speak with you, only to overhear you say you would not allow your son to pledge himself to a lowly silven elf I knew what it meant. I know what you felt." He said grabbing ahold of your hand.
You looked down to your now intertwined fingers and sighed.
"I do love you Legolas, but defying your fathers orders would only create ruin and sadness."
"Only in our hearts." He gently lifted your chin up and kissed you.
"Whether it defy my father, or not, I am pledging my whole life to you, my love." He said when you separated.
"And I, pledge mine to you, my prince." A smile spread across both your faces, before he leaned in for yet. Another kiss.
