Requested by @Zobro123 you didn't give me a scenario so I used my own idea. Its where your reading a book and he pretends its his favourite in order to impress you. (I will leave the books name blank because everyone has a different favourite book)

The company had set up camp for the night the journey was long, everyone sat on their logs or beds eating their dinner and laughing whole heartedly.

Every evening would be this way with a whole pile of dwarves at your side, you being the only woman some things they made more difficult for you.

So you were worn out, digging your nose in your favourite book on your bed close to the fire, a peaceful breeze in the air.

In an instant your deep concentration was broken.

"Hello (y/n)." Kili grinned, sitting next to you.

"Kili." You smiled, then looked back to your book as a hint for him to leave you be.

"What book are you reading?" Kili obviously didn't take your hint.

You sighed and showed him the name, then put your book back to your eyes.

"That's my favourite book." Kili stated, you chuckled.

"You read?" You joked.

"Yes I read! I am insulted you think that I don't." He laughed.

"Alright, prove it. What is the plot of the story?" You asked.

You seemed to have caught him off guard. He quickly thought and got back to you with his best guess.

"Its a romance novel right? All women love romance. Uh..it is where a Dwarven Prince falls for a woman he only met through an adventure, and he doesn't know how to tell her... But I have read plenty of novels I could be wrong on which plot..to uh which story." He suddenly got nervous when your expression was blank.

"Why didn't you just say so?" You asked.

"Say what exactly?" Kili fidgeted with his fingers.

"Alright, Kili. Let me break this down for you." You started.
"_______ is an action novel, I cannot stand romance novels for the reason I would like to create my own love life rather then expecting novel like behaviour from men."

"Alright? Then what did I not say?" Kili was beyond confused, though he knew you were on his tracks.

"Admit it. I may not read romance novels but I know for certain I have never heard of a romance novel where a dwarven prince is in love with someone he met on an adventure. Doesn't it sound too familiar?"

"Fine, I admit. The novel your reading is not my favourite. In fact, I have never read more then tall tales or history of my kin. But I have more to admit. The plot I said was actually what is happening between you and I and-"

"I love you too." You interrupted, the company grew silent and they all looked to you both at the words spoken from your mouth.

"You do?" Kili asked, neither of you realized the company had been watching, you were too lost in each others eyes.

"I do." You smiled, he did too as a sigh of relief left his lips.

"Aye! Just kiss her already Lad!" Bofur shouted.

You both snapped out of your dream world and looked to the others with laughter.

"C'mon Kee!" Fili joked.

Kili looked to you.

"Your slow." You said before pulling his collar and smashing your lips to his.

The company shouted and cheered, Thorin gave his nod and smile of approval.

Who needs romance novels after all. Especially when you've already made your own story.
