He was out on a hunt in the forests for most of the day, he planned to catch supper for the whole kingdom with his brother Fili, and several guards.

Thorin let him go so not to ruin his ego, sending Fili with him knowing Kili was reckless.

You stood at the gate waiting for their arrival from their hunt. You could see him laughing with his brother in the distance, there was probably going to be another one of their heroic tales for the dinner guests tonight.

The distance became nearer until you could visually see his appearance.

He was covered in mud, it looked like he fell in feet first, although he didn't have much on his face you were second thinking giving him a kiss like you normally did.

"Aye! (Y/n)!" Fili laughed, Kili turned his gaze upon you and smiled adoringly.

He went in for a kiss when you stepped back with a smile. He gave you a confused expression.

By now the rest of the guards and Fili were inside the gates.

"You have to bathe before you get your kiss." You smirked.

"If its my kiss then I should be able to take it when I wish, and I wish now." He went in again but you stepped back.

"Kili, I don't want to get muddy!" You squealed.

"Too late."

"Pardon?"

He leant in, your back being against the gate wall already you had no more steps you could take. Some of the mud off his cheeks and chest managed its way onto you.

He separated from you with a cheeky grin.

"That wasn't fair, I was distracted." You said, he wrapped his muddy arm around your waist, but at this point you couldn't care less.
