Thorin
You are a member of the company of thirteen dwarves and a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins led accompanied by an intelligent and friendly wizard, Gandalf the Grey. You are the only female in this journey with Bilbo and the dwarves. When you first met Thorin, the leader of the company and the future King of the lost kingdom, Erebor, you could sense sadness and struggle in his solemn, sapphire blue eyes. The moment you learned of his story more, especially from Balin, who was the wisest and humble dwarf you met, pitied Thorin dearly about his past life, and your heart erupted for the dwarf king-to-be. You truly loved him by great sympathy and wanted to reveal your feeling for him throughout this journey. But however, Thorin didn't seem to love you back. He has been very stubborn towards you, and only thought about himself ever since you first encountered him. And you felt Thorin shut you away from him.
A day after your company reclaimed Erebor....
After you, Bilbo and the other dwarves released Smaug the dragon from Erebor, everything wasn't over. Smaug burned down Laketown which resulted numerous casualties of people that lived there. Thorin's personality began to change drastically and dramatically. You found out that Thorin has became much like his late grandfather, King Thror, becoming very self entitled to his own riches and not helping those who lost their homes back in Laketown. On top of that, he even became obsessed with the search of his Arkenstone, that belonged to Thror that he never let you, his dwarf company including Bilbo eat or rest until you all found it. Not standing anymore, you were disgusted by his bossy behaviour and decided to take action.
"Thorin." You bravely stepped up to the Dwarf King. "Bilbo is right all along. You've reclaimed your own homeland, isn't that enough? The people of Laketown are starving to death after that fatal night! Don't you feel bad for those poor folks down there?! Those innocent people will die!"
"Why should I, (Y/N)?!" Thorin talked back to you. "Why should I have to share half of my gold to them? I must inherit my grandfather's wealth and save them!" He walked away.
"You can't keep hoarding all your wealth for the entire life!" You retorted. "Think of all the suffering children! Think of your people! And think of...me." Thorin stopped his pace. His eyes flew open towards you with a shock. With your mind he was going to confess something to you. Instead, he shot you a cold look and said: "(Y/N), I'm the King. You can't force me into do what I don't want to do." He turned away from you and walked away.
"You don't know anything of love, stupid." You hissed. You could almost feel a tear forming in your eyes. "Not even kindness and care!" Thorin stopped again. He walked up to you with a terrifying look and slapped you across the face. Hard. This brought shocking attention to Bilbo and the other dwarves. You fell to the floor but revived, and you felt a red mark appearing on your skin.
"How DARE you take side with the Laketown folk!" Thorin yelled. "And what do you know of love, kindness and care? Nothing! Just absolutely nothing! You are to do what you're told and you are to obey my every rule and order! Now get back to finding the ARKENSTONE!!"
"Please don't be like this, Thorin." Your voice cracked as tears started falling endlessly down your face. "I'm begging you please! This is not like you right now." This made Thorin even more angrier than you were, despite him seeing the vulnerability in your eyes.
"Why you shameful no good wretched little___" Thorin raised his hand again at your face. You turned sideways as you flinched. Before he could slap you, a strong tattooed arm grabbed Thorin's wrist. It was Dwalin. You relaxed your flinch and sighed in relief as he finally came to your aid.
"Thorin, STOP IT!" Dwalin shouted as he restrained Thorin, looking very hard at him. He looked angrier than Thorin for daring to hurt a woman. "If you're going to hurt (Y/N), you will have to kill ALL of us!" You were thankful that Dwalin saved you but knew what he did was even more serious than anything else. You could tell by the stunned look in the Dwarven King's eyes.
"Fine then." Thorin simply replied through gritted teeth, hastily freeing his arm from Dwalin's iron-hard grip. "(Y/N), you're banished."
You and the company were stunned by what he just said to you. Your heart began to sink as you didn't expect what he was going to say. Sadly, you fled out of Erebor to the battlefield where Gandalf, Bard and King Thranduil were, sobbing. You felt even more bad for the people of Laketown as you felt bad for Thorin. You were heartbroken about Thorin's stubbornness and him being so selfish. You felt the way Thorin pushed you has gone too far enough.
The Battle of the Five Armies.....
You fought as many orcs as you can as the terrible battle waged. Every moment you sliced them off with your blade, you searched the area for any signs of Thorin and the company of Dwarves on the battlefield, but they were nowhere to be seen. You knew some of them could be lethal. Despite the incident earlier under the mountain, you kept holding onto your desperate hope that none of them are slain, including Thorin. When you met up with Gandalf and Bilbo in the ruins of Dale, you finally learned that there was a second orc army coming from Gundabad and the dwarves had gone off to Ravenhill, to kill off Thorin's main nemesis, Azog the Defiler.
You ran after Legolas and Tauriel across the bridge that connects to Ravenhill and ambushed as many orcs that came by, all by yourself and not really caring about others. It felt like years to battle them and to find Thorin. The moment you killed one last orc on the icy ground, you were dumbfounded as you found Thorin lying onto the ice, wounded, with Bilbo kneeling beside him. Nearby was Azog lying dead with an Orcrist stuck through his chest.
"No!" You gasped, running to his aid and knelt beside Thorin and pulled him onto your lap.
"Thorin, hold still. Don't give in!" You said with panic. "I'll bring Tauriel over! We know what she can do!"
"(Y/N)." Thorin looked up to your face. "I know I'll be joining my father and my grandfather...so there's nothing you can do for me."
"No!" You whispered frantically. Tears started to fill up your eyes again. "You're not anywhere without me, Thorin. Please!"
"Amrâlime, (Y/N)." Thorin whispered as he weakly reached out his hand to caress your cheek.
"What did you say to me?" You asked him, looking stunned. "I don't understand."
"(Y/N), I love you. More than you ever thought." Thorin explained. "I'm very sorry for being so stubborn, selfish and always so hard on you throughout this journey until now."
"Thorin, you don't have to apologize." You were crying now. "You just had to reclaim something most valuable to you, and to ensure everyone's safety and responsibility. Including mine."
"It's not just that." Thorin continued. "I was just nervous about how you could fall for someone like me who was lost, empty and broken. So thinking it was the best, I cut you off. And after I banished you earlier, I saw myself as an awful king...and a fool."
"Please stop saying so much, Thorin." You sobbed. "Let's just take you to Tauriel so she can heal you. And I'm sorry I called you stupid back there."
"I want to live my life with you, (Y/N)." Thorin whispered, a big tear sneaked down to his cheek. "But it's too late now. I love you, (Y/N)...and I always will. Whatever happens, I will always be with you...forever." As he slowly closed his eyes, the palm of his hand fell down from your face.
"NO! Thorin!" You cried out in agony. "Don't leave me! I love you so much!" Your tears started pouring down rapidly, holding Thorin's lifeless body against you. You didn't care when his blood stained onto your clothes. "I'm so sorry for my disobedience." You kept holding onto him at the site where he fell and cried hysterically for a long time, until the other dwarves gathered around you and Bilbo, mourning the great Dwarven King.
(THE END! Sorry this was so sad!)
