Legolas X Thranduil (Part 2)

"Lasgalen, wake up!" Legolas said frantically.

"Huh...? Where am I?" Lasgalen blinked her eyes, she felt her brother, Tauriel and Hérion's presence nearby though she could only see darkness because she was still wearing a dark cloth bag under her face. It was nearly evening, but none of the Elves were hungry. It was almost time for them to go back home and King Thranduil will be worrying about them by now.

"I don't know." Legolas whispered. "I feel like we're tied up to a tree or something."

"Yeah, hanar." Lasgalen replied. "I can't even move. Got any weapons with you?"

"Yeah." He said. "I can feel my daggers fastened on my back."

"Are you two alright there?" Tauriel called out. She and Hérion were also tied up to a tree but they were few meters away from the Prince and the Princess.

"My head is spinning." Lasgalen replied. "I'm losing too much blood...and it hurts so much!"

"Cut it out, will you?" An Orc yelled as he came up to the four Elves and roughly pulled the cloth bags off of their faces. "Quit your whining!"

"Says an Orc who injured our Princess and taken us captive!" Hérion spat out to the Orc. "We need to get back home in the evening!"

"Why, you Elf-scum?" He turned to Hérion's attention. "Because your daddy worries sick about you?" The orc asked in a baby voice. Then he started to mock him like an immature five year-old. "Oh, boo-hoo-hoo! Where are you, my wittle elfie-scummie? I mwiss you so mwuch__"

"SHUT UP!!" Lasgalen yelled as she kicked a dirt at the Orc. "Leave our guard alone!"

"And who are you to defend him, She-Elf?!" The Orc turned his filthy wrinkled face towards Lasgalen.

"We're NOT suppose to talk to strangers!" Legolas growled. "Especially YOU!"

"I wasn't talking to you!" He growled back.

"Tell me who you are RIGHT NOW!!" The Orc looked straight into her glaring eyes.

"I would kill you if you dare to hurt me again, filth!" Lasgalen hissed.

The Orc turned his head away from her and froze for the moment. He then turned back to Lasgalen and smacked her across the face, leaving a red mark on it.

"NO!" Tauriel yelled in anguish.

"STOP IT!!" Legolas yelled angrily, squirming to free himself from being tied up to the tree.

"Leave our Princess alone! Please!" Hérion cried out. The Orc didn't pay any attention to him.

Lasgalen glared up to the Orc. "Why you..." She quietly hissed.

"Oh, you want some more, huh, She-Elf?" He grinned as he raised his hand. But before the Orc could smack Lasgalen again, a silver spear impaled through his neck out of nowhere. That was the moment when the army of Elves, including King Thranduil were on their way to wipe off the Orcs that took his children and two other Silvan Elves captive. Thranduil wielded his long dual blades and slashed off the remaining Orcs while few other Elven soldiers cut the ropes and set the four Elves free from the trees. Then it was finally over.

"Ada, we tried to__" Lasgalen began to explain but she was cut off by her father. He glared down at her and Legolas in anger and disappointment.

"What did I tell you about going into the forest?!" He growled at them.

"But Ada, we didn't mean for___" Lasgalen continued to tried to explain but the King wouldn't let her finish.

"Let's just go home!" The King snapped and trotted off with his elk, leaving his son and daughter sigh and had their heads down in disappointment and shame. Tauriel and Hérion came up to them.

"Your highnesses, please__" Tauriel tried to say But was cut off by the Princess.

"Thanks a lot, you guys." Lasgalen whispered sarcastically to Tauriel and Hérion.

~Back in the Mirkwood Palace~

After the Orc incident in the forests of Mirkwood and returning home, Lasgalen was taken to the healer's room to get treatment from her bad injuries, while King Thranduil ordered his servants to send Legolas back to his chamber and have him locked there. He then turned to the two Silvan Elves.

"Tauriel and Hérion." King Thranduil announced. "You May go back to your duties. I'll deal with you later."

"Yes, my lord." Tauriel and Hérion bowed their heads and head back to their business.

~An hour and a half later~

King Thranduil unlocked his son's chamber after so many contemplation and released him. Then the father-son duo walked straight to the healer's room where Lasgalen was laying. The Princess was still lying on the bed with bandages wrapped around her arm and torso. She slowly blinked a few times to see her father and brother circled around her.

"W-where am I?" Lasgalen stammered. Am I dead? She mentally added.

"You're alive." The King breathed. He threw his arms around his daughter, sighing in relief.

"Ada!" Lasgalen gasped. King Thranduil pulled back and got mad, again.

"Don't you ever do anything like that again, my daughter." He scolded. "Do you have any idea how scared I was? You could've been killed along with your hanar, Tauriel and Hérion!"

"Ada, please..." Legolas tried to intervene but the King wouldn't let him talk.

"If both of you obeyed me, all these things wouldn't have happened." The King said.

"We're just tired of staying in this palace all the time." Lasgalen half whined. "You need to freaking let us go!"

"YOU broke the rule." King Thranduil snapped.

"You're hiding something from us, Ada." Legolas finally said.

The King sighed and gave a far away look. He sadly took a deep breath and began to open his mouth.

"I have never spoke of this but....Thousands of years ago in the Second Age, when I was a teenager, your grandfather and I went to Dagorlad, near the fiery land of Mordor way further in the south of Middle Earth to battle the Dark lord Sauron, who wants to rule all the land with cruelty, malice and is power hungry. We Elves and men did this to protect Middle Earth from these situations."

"And then?" Lasgalen said.

"As I was fighting the Orcs off," King Thranduil went on. "I turned around and saw my father who was further away from me. Only to watch him pierced by 3 arrows by them. I ran up to him as quick as I can to save him, but it was too late. My father died moments later after his injuries. We have lost countless of our armies and allies."

"How sad and awful!" Lasgalen gasped. "I can't believe you never even told us of this infamous Dark lord!"

"Many years later after your grandfather perished in battle," The King said. "Sauron cast a spell in our forest by transforming into a dark and perilous woods full of spiders. He now dwells in the ruined fortress of Dol Guldur in the south and calls himself the Necromancer."

"I can't believe you told us all about this!" Legolas said, pitch to his shock. "Anything else more?"

King Thranduil sighed sadly. His eyes filled with tears.

"Ada, what's wrong?" Lasgalen asked with concern.

"Your mother...." Thranduil burst into tears. "When you and your hanar were only infants, your mother and I went to Gundabad to wage battle against the Orcs while Feren and the servants babysat you both. During the battle, she got injured while battling the Orcs and was taken captivity. I searched high and low in Gundabad but only to find her dead. She died in the hands of those filth by being tortured and stoned. And after the war, I have been carrying so much guilt of losing your mother and your grandfather. Thinking of overcoming this guilt and burden, I have promised myself to be a better immortal by protecting you both no matter so that I won't lose you either."

"Oh, Ada. Oh Ada!" Lasgalen began to cry. "I'm so sorry about what you went through! I'm sorry you never get to spoke of my Nana!" Legolas cried too. The King's face turn to pity and grief as he wrapped his arms around his children, pulling them for tight embrace and cried for quite a while.

"This must have been very difficult for you too, Ada." Legolas sniffled. "My muinthel and I have always wondered about our mother and why we not have one."

"And I'm sorry I never spoke of her to you until now." Thranduil replied. "But I know she lives in all of us and watches over us no matter when and wherever you go."

"I know that too," Lasgalen agreed. "I now understand why you're always so overprotective of us." Legolas nodded. Then the King, the Prince and the Princess pulled away from each other.

"Now, get some more rest, Lasgalen." The King gently laid his daughter down in the bed and tucked her in. "I will come back to you once after you get better." He then beckoned Legolas over to exit the healer's room with him. "Come now, ion-nin." The King called to his son. "You may go back to your chamber."

"Alright, Ada." Legolas wiped off his tears and walked up to his father as he opens the door. "Get well soon, muinthel." He winked as he exited the room and went back his chamber.

"Thank-you, Ada and hanar." Lasgalen whispered as she drifted into her peaceful beauty sleep, thinking of what an insane adventure she had with Legolas, Tauriel and Hérion and the lessons she and her brother learned from their father.
