Imagine Pop!Thorin #7
This one was suggested by Hiddleston11 ; The last one in the Little Thorin series that takes things a little bit differently. I didn't make it longer then it is now. Because my mind was just not working with me. I am sorry.

"Just go to sleep, I will be here when you wake up" Thorin said, trying to sound soothing. He was gently stroking her hair with his sword. Sometimes he prefered to do it that way because his fingers were a little too rough.
Working in the fake forges took strong hands.
"Mhmm" she murmured. Slowly she drifted off into a deep and warm sleep. Warmer then usual.
The last words he muttered to her were; "You are not alone. Everything is going to be alright."
In all honesty, she had a bad few days before that. Thorin had taken a liking to her because they spend so much time together. Therefor he saw it as his job to look after her. And for now that meant being there for her.
He laid down on her left arm. Maybe tonight he would get some sleep too.
(The next morning)
Her eyes fluttered open. And the first thing she wanted to do was throw her blanket off of her. It was just too warm.
Her room should be comfortable around this time of the year. Summer had not yet begun and Spring was as mild as ever. No reason for her to feel hot this morning. Still, she did.
As her eyes adjusted to the room there was another sensation besides the warmth. That sensation was a light weight pressed around her waist. First she thought that one of the cats or perhaps her dog had sneaked into her room.
One of the cats knew how to open her door when he really wanted to get in. Yet she knew that it didn't feel the same.
Nathalie started to wake up a little more and noticed that there was a warm sensation on the back of her neck. Like there was a window opened behind her that was breathing directly on that spot. The only problem with that was that she was facing the window.
She looked down and saw that the pressing feeling came from an arm that was draped over her waist. Attached to the arm was a hand with a few rings around the fingers.
Nathalie screamed, kicking at the person who laid behind her.
There surely had been no one there the night before. So there shouldn't be a person laying there right now. That stuff wasn't rocked science.
A loud thump could be heard as the person fell on the floor. Followed by an irritated groan. "What exactly do you think you're doing?" came a grumpy voice.
Nathalie sat with her blanket pulled up to her chin against her headboard, staring at the man that couldn't be real. It was Thorin. Not the doll. The real life Thorin. Also not Richard Armitage. But the real grumpy king under the mountain.
In the flesh.
She pinched herself. Nothing changed.
"This can't be happening. It just can't. You are not real" she muttered. Nathalie was talking to herself instead of anyone else. Because there was no one else in the room. Why would she be talking to people who weren't there?
The man who appeared to be Thorin sighed heavily. "Please don't tell me that you are going to make this worse than it already is." He looked at her with sleepy eyes. "Before you wake up all your neighbours, let me explain what happened."
Nathalie shook her head. "No. You can't because you aren't real."
Thorin put one hand back on the bed. "And then, pray tell, do you not wake up after you have pinched yourself?" He cocked an eyebrow. "Also, you didn't mind talking to me when I was still a doll."
Before he knew it, she covered herself beneath her blanket completely. If she just fell asleep then everything would be alright. That was the only possible explanation. She was asleep and she would wake up once she convinced herself that this wasn't a dream.
"Just close your eyes and count to ten" she said, closing her eyes immediately.
On the other side of the blanket, Thorin leaned with his head on his hands. "And then what? The sheep will jump over a fence and the whole world turns into one giant rainbow?" he asked.
Angrily, she pushed the blanket down. "You are just as annoying as your toy version" she said before dissappearing beneath the blanket once again.
Gently, he tried to pull it back down but she had a tight grip on it. "Just take my word for it that I was just as shocked as you are now when I woke up." Thorin sat down on the side of the bed, hoping that he wouldn't get pushed off again.
"Maybe this will happen once a yea. Who knows? All I know for sure is that I can be here for you now more than ever. So what do you say about we just make the most of it?" He laid a hand on where he presumed one of her shoulders was.
Slowly, the blanket was pulled down again. Revealing a scared girl.
Thorin cupped her face. "I suggest that, as friends, we are going out today. And I don't mean going to the club. You can show me around town, do what friends do, whatever you like" he spoke gently.
In all honesty, he wasn't sure what happened in those few hours of falling asleep and waking up. But now that he had a chance to get her to smile a little more he would gladly take it.
At least he wouldn't have to pretend to be a lifeless doll today when they went out.
Now he could take her to the museum instead of her bringing him along.
Nathalie sat up straight, accepting the hand he had offered her. "What if you will change back into a doll once we get outside?" she asked softly.
He shrugged. "Then you will have to deal with the questions and the strange looks. But I will be there every step of the way. As I have always been."
She smiled. "You know, you are a little strange sometimes" she said, smiling for the first time that day.
"And why is that lass?" he asked, subtly turning around as she got dressed.
"Well," she said, balancing on one leg as she put her pants on and was trying to find out which shops would be open that day; "you sometimes mean to be sarcastic but then you say something nice instead."
He rolled his eyes. "Just get yourself dressed so that we can go out today." A soft smile was playing on his lips. But she couldn't see it.
That day they went out to see several things. Thorin finally got to meet the boy from the shop in person. He warned him about not hurting his best friend which confused the boy greatly.
Then they went on to visit the library Nathalie loved. He loved to see the look in her eyes when she told him about her favorite writers. He let her blab on about it for as long as she wanted. If it made her forget about everything for a while then that was the least he could do.
For him they also went back into the shop so that he could make himself very clear again. And again Nathalie he had to drag him out before the police could be called.
Of course they couldn't miss out on a walk in the park.
All day long Nathalie felt like she would wake up at any minute but she didn't. The day was real. And so was Thorin for one day.
The next day they would find that he was a doll again. But it didn't matter. Because they got to spend that one special day together. A special day filled with ordinary things.
That is what made the day special.
