Imagine flowers that remind Sam of you
Imagine from thereandbackagainimagines; Imagine Sam idly gardening when he happens upon a patch of flowers that remind him fondly of you.

The sound of a happy singing hobbit filled the small land of the Shire. And could you really blame him?
The sun hang high in the sky filling every tree and every flower with new found positivity. All felt the need to open up and look their new found friend right in the eye. The daffodils looked up with their heads, glad that the sun had finally arrived.
That is how it came to be that Sam's garden greeted him happily as he stepped outside of his house.
Roses were blossoming for him showing him that they were ready to be gifted to a lady. He never took the hint though.
His sunflowers didn't give him a first glance since their attention was fully on their sunny friend. Their heads were turned towards the sun. And they would have never turned back if the sun wouldn't have disappeared that night.
Sam whistled his favorite song as he collected the carrots that were ready to be harvested. His vegetable garden was blooming like never before.
Also, the strawberries were more then ready to be eaten on top of a great pie.
There were just so many possibilities and Sam hadn't figured out what to do with them just yet.
Strawberry tea would also be an amazing option. Maybe he had to talk about it with his friend, Frodo Baggins. An idea popped into his head. His best friend' uncle may also have an idea for something amazing.
As he had heard from the many stories told by Bilbo he had learned that the dwarves also loved their snacks. He could help mister Baggins as he prepared the dish. Perhaps learn some more dwarven recipes.
He was sure they wouldn't mind. As long as they didn't find out.
The veggies and some of the fruit was harvested quickly. A careful gardener couldn't risk their fruit wasting away. Because the sun could let you grow but it could also shrink you away bit by bit.
Still whistling his happy song he moved to the back to get his watering can. Before the sun would shine it's brigthests and the flowers would need that water. Sam didn't waste any time to water them to their heart's content.
Some went to the forget-me-nots, some went to the tulips that were dancing in sync with the wind. Ladybugs were disturbed from their slumber but didn't really mind when they saw everything around them.
The bees were getting up to collect the nectar. Birds were chirping.
Just a normal, relaxing day in the Shire, the hobbits would tell you. How could anyone live their lives any different they often wondered. Without being outside and gardening.
And without elevensies... That was just a horrific thought.
Sam's garden was growing slowly but steadily. He had so many years ahead of him that he could take his time. When they were older, Frodo and him would relax in it every day. Drinking a cup of tea all day long if they wanted to.
He sighed contently. What a life that would be.
His whole garden was almost watered as he made his way around the corner. Here he planted the more delicate flowers that had trouble growing in the full sunlight.
And a special bush with flowers.
They blossomed first when the spring sun would start to show it's head again. And now, in summer, they were glowing as they hadn't done before.
Sam put down his watering can, bend down on his knee to hold one of the flowers in his hand. The corners of his mouth slowly turned up. Like someone was pulling it up by a string. Slowly revealing the feelings of the puppet.
It was a hydrangea bush carrying pink and purple/blue-ish flowers. Sam leaned forward to capture the smell that reminded him of you.
The flower stood for perseverance and that was exactly what reminded him most of you. Beside the vibrating colors and the smell that wouldn't leave his clothes for a few minutes after spending some time next to the bush.
Sam wanted more of these bushes scattered across his garden.
As long as he would live here alone he would be happy with the flowers here. The reminder was already close to him, now he just needed to win the person that brought forth that memory.
One last sniff before he got up to water the bush. He looked proudly at his work. The bush had been dying when he bought it. Men wanted to throw it away but luckily he had come just in time.
Now, he had nourished the plant back to health. Just like his love would grow for you. This, he didn't know at this time.
Sam put his watering can away to sit down, enjoying his third cup of tea that morning.
He lived the perfect hobbit life.
