Imagine annoying Thorin by singing

Imagine from imaginexhobbit: Imagine annoying Thorin by loudly singing 'Just can't wait to be King' by the Lion King.

"Again! That was great!" Bofur shouted. Next to him, Fili and Kili hold on to each other as they cried out of laughter.

Who knew that a song from your childhood could be so popular with dwarves?

Fili had shared with you how much he felt the burden of being the heir to the throne. He could never really let go and just be himself. Thorin was always there to remind him who he was.

His brother on the other hand was allowed more freedom. He was also a prince but he was unlikely to ever sit on the throne. Not that brunette minded. When he looked at his brother going from one training to another, he only felt pity.

So you decided to distract him from that burden. At least for today.

'The lion king' had been a favorite of yours when you were younger. That was why it was the first song that came to mind when Fili shared this secret with you.

He loved it when you began singing so you repeated it again and again and again and - Well, you get the drill.

After a few times Bofur heard you were singing and, the dwarf that he was, he just had to check it out. Soon there were more dwarves listening to your song. Fili and Kili even joined in after they had heard the words a few times.

Everybody chimed in at one point.

The only dwarves that were missing were Dwalin, Balin and Thorin. Bilbo had also disappeared to somewhere. For all you knew he was sitting behind one of the dwarves.

You just wanted to start the song all over again when; "ENOUGH!"

A red headed Thorin stormed into the small circle of dwarves. Everyone was too busy checking out their shoes or the ground beneath them to look up at him. You, however, were standing in the middle and had no reason not to look at him.

It was clear who he was mad at.

He didn't shout at you immediately. His eyes were positively shooting flames at you. You were so lucky he wasn't a dragon or you would have been burned on the spot.

"Didn't you like the song?" you asked. Honestly, you weren't trying to make it worse. You were simply trying to lighten the mood.

His nostrils were flaring in anger. "That song was the most disrespectful thing I have ever heard!" he shouted.

Dwalin and Balin also came into view now. If they had bee here sooner then they maybe could have calmed their king down. You were afraid it was too late for that now.

"What do you mean?" you asked silently.

Thorin laughed sarcastically. "You sing about being a king like you don't need to listen to your people. Like it is easy to rule a kingdom. Have you ever lead even a small group, (y/n)?" he asked. His eyes were narrowed, noticing everything that you did.

You shook your head. No, you had never need to lead anybody.

"I thought so" Thorin said. He was still very angry. "It was quite clear." He looked around the circle of dwarves. When his eyes fell upon his oldest nephew, he sighed deeply. "Why did you sing this song exactly (y/n)?" he asked more calm now.

You followed his eyes to look at Fili. The young prince was looking directly at his uncle. There was no fear nor shame in his eyes.

"I had a private conversation with (y/n), who decided to cheer me up after that" Fili answered for you. He stood up and walked up to his uncle.

Thorin turned to look at him, he forgot about you completely. You moved fast to sit down behind Bombur.

"Is there something we need to talk about?" Thorin asked Fili.

The prince nodded.

"Very well then. We will talk, the two of us." Thorin looked at the dwarves around him. "Continue, don't forget we leave early tomorrow morning."

Fili followed Thorin without looking back at you. You slowly got up from behind Bombur.

"We haven't heard the song yet (y/n)" Dwalin said with a small smile. He sat himself down in the circle. Balin rolled his eyes behind him.
