Imagine Thorin thinking you are stubborn

~ This story is based on an imagine from imaginexhobbit: Imagine Thorin throwing you over his shoulder because you're being too stubborn. ~

'Don't do that lass, you will get yourself stuck up there' Dwalin warned you, but you wouldn't listen to him. You only huffed in response. 'I won't climb up to get you if you can't come out' he said. 'You let Fili and Kili climb this tree before. Why can't you let me do the same?' you said as you felt your boot slipping away from the tree. Quickly you pulled yourself up again before Dwalin could catch your leg. He crossed his arms and frowned as he watched you almost falling out of the tree. 'You will get yourself hurt' he said. You were too busy climbing the tree to really hear what he was saying. The whole Company always treated you different then they did with the male, young dwarves.

Only because you were a woman didn't mean you couldn't climb a tree or start a fire. They just simply wouldn't let you try, claiming you would only hurt yourself. It was a miracle to you they let you in on this quest. Maybe it had more to do with Gandalf than with your kin that you were here now. 'What is going on now?' a voice bellowed from the other side of camp. For a moment you lost your balance but you didn't fall down. 'The lass is trying to prove a point' Dwalin simply explained. You could feel the ground and the tree trembling as Thorin approached. However, you wouldn't let it stop you. '(Y/N)! Come down right now!' he yelled as you almost reached the top.

'No!' you simply yelled back. For a moment he stood there, just looking at your disappearing form. 'No?' 'That is right, no' you yelled back. Thorin looked at Dwalin for help but he only answered with a shrug. 'I have been trying to get her out of there for the last few minutes, now it is your turn.' And with that Dwalin left the King alone to clean up this mess. Finally, you had reached the top and stuck your head out to look at the treetops around you. 'It is absolutely beautiful up here' you said, mesmorized by the sight. 'COME DOWN!' Thorin bellowed beneath you. It was enough for you to finally lose your balance completely and falling down to the ground.

Thankfully, this was the effect Thorin had been waiting for, so he was ready when you fell. He caught you with ease and frowned when you just smiled at him. 'I am so lucky you happened to be standing here' you said, trying to look innocent so he wouldn't get mad at you. He rolled his eyes and put you down on the ground. 'Thank youuuuuuuu' you said as he pulled you up and swung you over his shoulder. Before you knew what had happened, he stalked back to his place on the other side of camp. 'This is highly unnecessary' you said, crossing your arms as you could hear laughter from all over the camp. An angry glare from Thorin stopped it soon enough.

Roughly, he put you down on the stone next to where he sat. 'I am not' you started to protest but this time, the glare he sent you was enough to keep you silent. 'If you do not understand your place in this Company and you do not understand how valuable you are to me, then you will stay here until you do' he said. Thorin grabbed his pipe to smoke and didn't look at you for the rest of the afternoon. You crossed your arms and leaned back stubbornly. Dwarves could be so thick-headed.
