Imagine the Company trying to talk to you

~ Based on this imagine from imaginexhobbit: Imagine the Company trying to talk to you even though you've taken a vow of silence. But instead 'a vow of silence' you will give them the 'silence treatment'. ~

You still hadn't forgotten about the prank Fili and Kili had pulled on you. How did they dare to hide your clothes while you were taking a bath? And to make matters even worse, none of the other dwarves had helped you to recollect them. They were all too busy laughing. So you did the only thing every respectable hobbit could do. You gave them the silence treatement. They earned it and they knew it. No matter how hard they were whining, you wouldn't give in. You just didn't know they took this as another opportunity to prank you. Fili was the first one to sit down next to you.

He swung an arm around your shoulders and looked at you with apologetic eyes. You only looked away from him and tried to ignore him. 'Come on (y/n), you can't stay mad forever. We are actually lovely dwarves when you give us a chance.' Bofur, across the campfire, nodded in agreement. 'We are not half as bad as you think, I guarantee' he added. You simply rolled your eyes and tried to get up when Kili also sat down next to you and pulled you back down. 'What we did wasn't this bad (y/n).' You looked at him with raised eyebrows and huffed. Did he really just say that? You were forced to run around camp naked because they couldn't control themselves.

What was worse, Thorin had seen you. Thankfully he was polite enough to help you searching for your clothes and actually standing on guard to make sure his nephews wouldn't steal your clothes again. Maybe that was the biggest reason why you were not talking to them. 'Is she still not talking?' Dwalin asked as he joined the small group around the campfire. Fili nodded. 'She is still mad.' 'Did you already apologize lads?' Balin asked, standing behind his younger brother. 'Millions of times, but she won't let us know if she has forgiven us' Kili said, doubling over when you hit him in the stomache. 'I think she is still mad with you brother' Fili said, sliding away from you to escape the same fate.

Dwalin chuckled heartily as Kili tried to crawl back up on the log. Soon, a delicious smell filled your nose. 'Do you want some soup lass?' Bombur asked, stirring the mushroom soup. You ignored him, sticking your nose up high in the air. 'Don't mind her Bombur, the lass is still mad at us' Bofur explained when Bombur looked hurt. 'Aye, but you do know what they say right?' Dwalin asked as he stood up to get some soup. 'What is that brother?' Balin asked. 'If a lass gives you the silence treatment, it means that she is in love with you' he explained. The other dwarves were too late to warn him for the shoe that was thrown at his head.

He rubbed the back of his head and looked back at you with an amused smile on his lips. 'Definitely in love' he said. The dwarves were laughing again while you tried your best to look terrifying to the dwarven warrior. Needless to say you didn't succeed. 'I do admit that there is less whining now that the lass is not speaking' Nori said, careful to stay at a safe distance. Was this really happening? 'Maybe now we can get a good night sleep without (y/n) snoring all night' Gloin joined in. You narrowed your eyes but it didn't have the impact you desired. 'She can still glare us to death' Bofur said, meeting your eyes with a big smile. This was enough.

You got up from the log and marched towards your pony. 'Ah lass, don't go! We were only teasing!' Fili said, half laughing half trying to sound serious. The older dwarves got a bit alarmed when you sat down on your pony and took the reigns. It seemed like you were serious about leaving the Company. 'Lass, it was only meant as a joke' Balin said, walking towards you. But you didn't pay him any attention. Of course you weren't leaving the Company, but you wouldn't sit there and listen to them any longer. A hand landed on your arm before you could get away and when you looked down you met the ice blue eyes of your leader. 'Come down' he ordered, letting go of your arm.

For a moment you hesitated, but you could see in his eyes that he wouldn't take no for an answer. He helped you down and gestured for you to sit down near his spot. 'I guess joke time is over' Kili said disappointed. Fili quickly elbowed him when Thorin was coming their way. They both looked at the fire in front of them, scared to look their uncle in the eyes. Thorin put his head in between theirs and said; 'I think we all know who is on pony duty for the next two weeks.' The dwarves burst out in laughter as the two young princes were sulking on their log.
