Imagine kissing Kili in the rain - part 3

~ The last part of this imagine! I hope you'll enjoy the ending :D Just picture the dress of Belle from Beauty and the Beast on you while you're reading this.~

You had chosen a beautiful, yellow/golden dress which made your body look slimmer. Your hair was up with a red rose stuck in it. Dis had done your make-up and had helped you to prepare for the wedding. This was the day you had been waiting for. Kili and you had followed all the official courting steps. Thorin had made sure there was nothing skipped. Over time he had accepted his nephew's choice and actually grew really fond of you. Maybe you weren't all that bad.

Now there would be nothing standing in your way. The only difficulty was who would walk you down the aisle. You lived alone without your parents, they died when you were young, so your father couldn't do it. It had worried you to only think about walking down the aisle on your own. You didn't like it when all attention was focused on you. If someone would walk next to you, you could at least share this attention with someone. For weeks you had wondered about who you would choose. It had to be someone who would already be present at the ceremony. It would be a small gathering with only close kin and friends. That narrowed the list down.

Thorin and Fili would stand beside Kili and sign the marriage contract as his witnesses. For some reason it didn't feel right to ask Dis since she was Kili's mother. But you were sure she would have done it if you had asked her. Balin was also present but he would lead the ceremony. That's when you realized your best friend would be there too. He would have to do it. You knew he would come to the ceremony but you still wrote him a letter in advance. And thankfully he said yes.

Right now you were standing behind the doors, trying to get your breathing under control. 'Breath in, and breath out. You're not going to die' Bilbo tried to light the mood. You closed your eyes and tried to listen to him. 'I know I'm not about to die, but I'm about to pledge the rest of my life to Kili' you said, your heartbeat increasing again. 'Stop! You're only making it worse for yourself when this should be the most beautiful day of your life!' Bilbo said with a stern voice. You opened your eyes and looked down at your friend. 'Thank you Bilbo.' He nodded with a smile. 'At your service (y/n).' The violins started playing inside and both your heads shot up.

You took a deep breath. 'Are you ready?' Bilbo asked. You nodded, confident. 'I'm ready.' Bilbo turned towards the door and hooked his arm with yours. He gave you one last smile before the doors opened and together you walked towards your proud, soon to be husband. He wore the biggest smile that you had ever seen on his face. His eyes were watching you, taking in every detail of your dress. Thorin had helped you to choose the dress, making sure that it was fit for a future princess. He was standing proud next to his nephew. Dis couldn't control herself, even though you still hadn't said your vows, and tears were rolling down her face.

Fili's eyes were sparkling as brightly as his brother'. You had spend many evenings talking to him about the best way of courting his little brother. He was excited to have you as a sister in law and he was more then happy to share the secrets Kili had told him about you. The violins were somewhere in the background, you were sure the music was beautiful but it didn't get through to you. You only had eyes for Kili. When you reached him, Bilbo bowed his head and unhooked your arms. Kili seemed to be pleased with the loss of contact between the two of you. Bilbo stood beside you and Balin nodded. 'We are here today to celebrate the union between Kili, son of Dis, and (y/n).

Does the first witness of Kili, son of Dis, have anything against this marriage?' Balin asked. Thorin shook his head. 'Not at all.' Thorin sent you a warming smile. 'Does the first witness of (y/n) have anything against the marriage?' Balin asked Bilbo. The hobbit shook his head. 'Of course not.' Balin chuckled. 'I thought so. Dis, you have the rings with you?' Dis was sobbing in her chair and first had to calm herself down before she stood up. She held a little box in her hands which held the rings. She stood in front of you and Kili and opened it. Inside was the ring with which Kili had proposed to you. It was a golden ring with a ruby on top. Kili had made it himself, and it looked absolutely beautiful.

Inside there was Khuzdul, which Fili had translated for you. It said: 'My One, my love, my gold.' Balin motioned for Kili to take your ring and hold your hand. He almost, accidentally, dropped the ring but he was able to take a good hold of it before it fell down. 'Kili' Dis whispered. He nodded nervously. 'With this ring I pledge myself to you with my whole body and soul. I will be yours until the end of time. We will walk the path of life together, hand in hand, and our love will never fall. Will you be mine?' He looked at you with pleading eyes, like you would say no. 'Yes' you said in a soft voice. Kili smiled and shoved the ring down your finger, afraid that you might change your mind.

Thorin chuckled and Dis and Fili were just gleaming with pride. You took Kili's ring from the box and held Kili's hand. 'With this ring I pledge myself to you with my whole body and mind. I will never leave your side and I promise to be your rock. I will walk beside you as your wife, your best friend, and your soul mate. Will you be mine?' Kili nodded eagerly. He pushed his finger forward, not waiting for you to do it. 'Kili' Thorin warned behind him. But he didn't listen to his uncle and didn't wait for Balin to tell him they were now officially married. He wrapped his arms around you and kissed you passionately, almost forgetting you were not alone. Bilbo cleared his throat and Kili pulled back reluctantly.

'I pronounce you husband and wife. You have aleady kissed the bride. Now, let's feast!' Balin said! Kili took your hand in his and together you walked towards the grand hall. All the dwarves in Erebor would be waiting there to celebrate the new royal couple.
