Imagine Kili setting you up with Thorin

~ Because this story did so well in my first Hobbit Imagines book, here is another part (has nothing to do with the first three chapters in my other book). ~

You were sitting in the library of Rivendell, enjoying a cup of tea with Bilbo and just relaxing after everything that happened. Your hobbit feet were finally able to get some rest. 'Isn't this lovely Bilbo, a clean bed, a bath' you said to your old friend. He chuckled. 'You do realize we have to leave this all behind within a few days?' You moaned. Why did Thorin want to leave this magical place behind so soon? Durin's day was fast approaching but still, he could decide to stay here a little longer. Some of the Company might not like it but the younger dwarves seemed fascinated by the elves. '(Y/N)!' Speaking of younger dwarves...

Kili threw the door to the library open and shouted your name. This earned him some angry stares from a few elves but he didn't seem to care. He wore a big smile on his lips, the smile he always wore when he had a plan. You looked at Bilbo for help but he focused his attention on his book. 'He was calling for you, you can deal with him' he muttered. You narrowed your eyes but you knew he was right. Kili hold still in front of you and looked at you with expecting eyes. You sighed and laid the book down on the table next to you. 'Can I help you master dwarf?' His smile widened. 'I'm glad you asked. I would like to take a walk through the flower fields with our beloved cook.' Bilbo looked up from his book.

'You would like to take a walk through the flower fields?' he asked suspicious. Kili nodded enthusiastic. 'I think it's the ideal weather to do so' he stated. The idea sounded lovely but you couldn't help to think that Kili was up to something. 'Dwarves don't care for flowers' you said. Kili looked hurt by this and pouted. 'Normally we don't, but I would like to learn something about them.' You raised an eyebrow. 'You want to learn about flowers?' Apparently Kili had had enough with all the questions because he grabbed your hand and pulled you out of your chair. 'I knew you would like to come with me' he said, turned around and dragged you along to the flower fields. 'Kili, I can walk on my own' you said and pulled your hand from his grasp.

He only smiled at you and continued on his way. Secretly you liked the idea of going to the flower fields together, you had wanted to go there again since the first time you had visit. But after a while you noticed you were walking the wrong way. 'Kili? I think we should have turned right instead of left' you said, looking back over your shoulder. Kili swung an arm around your shoulder. 'We are going the right way (y/n). Just wait and see' he said with a cheeky smile. At least you now knew you weren't going to the flower fields at all. You didn't know what he was up to but you were walking towards the training fields of Rivendell. You could already hear the sound of sword hitting sword and you could smell the scent of sweating dwarf.

'Kili, what ar...' you started but Kili shushed you. When you reached the hill that lead to the training field you saw Thorin and Dwalin sparring there. Dwalin was fighting with Grasper and Keeper, a determined look in his eyes. But Thorin was the one who captured your attention. He had took his shirt off which earned you a full view of his hairy chest which was glistening in the sunlight. You stood on top of the hill for a moment, your mouth had dropped as you looked at the leader of the Company. He looked absolutely beautiful with his chest bared like that. 'Lass?' Kili asked, looking up at you with an innocent smile. You shook your head to get the image of Thorin covered in sweat of your mind.

'Aye, master dwarf?' you said in a high-pitched voice. 'Shall we sit down and watch the fight?' he gestured towards the grass. You nodded and sat down next to him on the hill. Thorin nor Dwalin seemed to notice they now had an audience. The dwarves were too focused on each other and on the moves the other made. In the meantime you were too busy to focus on Thorin's exposed body to watch the fight. There were scars covering his body on several places and you could now see how muscled he actually was. You could only imagine how it would feel to lay in his arms, those strong arms who would protect you against anything. You were dreaming off and a certain brunette dwarf noticed his plan was working.

He put his hand in the air and the two dwarves caught the signal. If you had paid close attention to the fight you would have noticed Dwalin falling down on his back on purpose, but you still only looked at Thorin. He chuckled and helped his old friend back up to his feet. 'Maybe you beat me this time, but next time I will make you bite the dust' Dwalin said. 'Of course you will' was the only thing Thorin said before he looked up at you and Kili. A small smile played on his lips as he walked towards the bucket of water. A thought crossed your mind and you made your way down towards the two warriors. Kili only smiled and followed you. Thorin watched you making your way down, hoping that you wouldn't slip and fall.

He nodded at you when you came closer and watched the color on your cheeks turning red. You looked down at the ground beneath your feet. Thorin hold a rag in his hands, ready to clean himself with the water. 'May I help you with that?' you asked bluntly. A small smile found his way up to his lips and he handed you the rag. 'You may.' You nodded and moved behind the dwarf so you could clean his back. He closed his eyes as he felt your soft hands on your back. 'Did you enjoy it?' he asked, his eyes still closed. You stopped for a moment, trying to remember the fight itself. 'You are a great fighter, especially a great sword fighter. Your skills are beyond anything I have seen before' you said, hoping he wouldn't think you were lying.

But Thorin didn't think so at all, he was proud that a hobbit of all races could admire his skills. 'Thank you, (y/n).' You continued cleaning his back and moved on to his chest when you were done. Of course he could have cleaned it himself but he didn't stop you. 'May I ask why you stopped here?' Thorin asked. Your eyes shot up to meet his and almost immediately you looked back at the rag in your hand. 'Well... we were going to take a walk through the flower fields but your nephew took a wrong turn. It runs in the family I suppose.' Thorin smiled fondly at you but you didn't see it. 'If you would still like to take that walk... I can come with you' Thorin suggested. You smiled. 'That would be lovely.' Thorin beamed with pride and you finished cleaning his chest.

'Normally I don't care for your plans but this one turned out well' Dwalin said to Kili as they watched you cleaning Thorin's chest. Kili bowed. 'My plans are always genius, it was about time you saw that' the prince teased. Dwalin rolled his eyes and turned around. 'Come laddie, we have done enough. Let them do the rest.' Kili stayed to watch for a little longer before Dwalin pulled him away by his collar.
