Imagine ... has been smitten with you - Boromir

~ Based on this imagine from imaginexhobbit: Imagine finding out the person you have feelings for has been smitten with you since the start. Boromir's turn! I don't know this character that well so I hope I got it right! Next time it will be Bard - Kili - Aragorn, in that order :)

I'm not sure about the ending yet... Maybe it's a bit to creepy.

You had traveled to Imladris, together with Gandalf. Together you sat down and watched as elves and dwarfs sat down next to each other. 'Now, that can't go well' you murmured. Gandalf offered you a weak smile but seemed to focus on something else then the dwarfs or the elves. 'It's not them I'm worried about' he said quietly. You frowned but didn't ask any questions. Lord Elrond stood in front of his large chair, a worried look spread on his face. More elves and some men walked in and sat down as well. There were no more empty seats, and Lord Elrond began.

Frodo sat next to you and was asked to put the ring on the table. Slowly he got up and walked towards it. All eyes were turned on him, not missing a single footstep he took. He carefully placed the ring on the table and walked back to his chair. 'So it is true' a man across from you spoke and you looked up. The man had beautiful, blond, long hair with blue eyes, now focused on the ring in front of him. You couldn't help but feel lust when you shamelessly let your eyes wander over every inch of his body, but there was also another feeling.

You understood what Gandalf had meant a few minutes ago. There was something off about this man. His mind seemed to surrender quite easily to power. Gandalf moved a little on his seat next to you and you broke your eye contact with the man. The grey wizard smiled at you but his eyes were telling a different story. Gandalf and you shared a unique bond which allowed you to feel the feelings of the other. Right now, however, you cursed that bond. When you looked around the various creatures you found that many, if not all, of them were staring at the ring.

You noticed the man standing up from his seat from the corner of your eye. He spoke, but you didn't pay attention to the words which left his mouth, you were paying attention to the look in his eyes. It was almost as if he was reluctant to look at anything but the ring, now just mere inches from his open hand. You stood up to intervene, you didn't know exactly what would happen if he touched it, but it wouldn't be a good thing. But Lord Elrond beat you to it. 'Boromir!' he said and Gandalf stood up as well, talking in black speech with another, dark voice.

Shivers ran down your spine when you realized who's voice this was. 'It can't be' you said, disbelieved. The man walked backwards, away from the ring. There were shocked faces and disapproving looks thrown to Gandalf, but he did what was right. 'That ring is altogether evil' Gandalf said and turned around when the man spoke once more. 'Aye, it is a gift. A gift to the foes of Mordor.' The man got up from his chair. 'Why not use this ring?' he asked, looking around. When his eyes met you he stopped and just stared at you. This was the first time he truly saw you.

'Who is he?' you asked Gandalf in your mind. The wizard looked at the man in the middle of the council, not to happy that he dared to call the enchanted ring a gift. 'His name is Boromir. And I advice you to stay away from him' he replied, a warning look in his eyes. You nodded, even though you knew you wouldn't be able to.

'There are more orcs coming!' you yelled at Aragorn, who just killed an orc right next to you. 'Thanks' you muttered and Aragorn smiled at you. Suddenly, Legolas turned his face the other way and that's when you heard it as well. 'The horn of Gondor' he said, your eyes widened. 'Boromir!' you shouted, quickly making your way through the many trees and orcs. You were close when he blew the horn once more. 'Boromir?!' you yelled frantically. You could feel his presence, so he was close, but your eyes couldn't find him. Aragorn and Legolas were close behind you.

The tension in your shoulders disappeared when you finally noticed him and the two hobbits just a few feet away. You had only walked a few steps forward when you heard the sound of an arrow being shot. Boromir looked at it in disbelief as it hit him straight in the left side of his chest. Soon a second and third arrow followed and brought him down to his knees. Aragorn and Legolas fought off the other orcs as you hurried to kneel down beside Boromir. Gently you cupped his face and helped him to lay down on the forest ground. '(Y/N)' he spoke softly, his eyes weren't leaving your face.

'Shhhh' you shushed him. You closed your eyes and tried to heal his wounds. You were startled when you felt his cold hand on your cheek. 'Don't close those beautiful eyes when they are the last thing I'll see on this world' he said. Slowly you opened your eyes, you knew there was nothing you could do to keep him from dying. A tear rolled down over your cheek. Boromir smiled weakly, his skin turning paler by the minute. 'Don't cry princess. You know that you brightened my world the day we met? My mind might have been clouded by the ring, but... somehow you were stronger than it's power' Boromir spoke softly.

You laughed sarcastically, why could he make you smile when you didn't want to? 'Yes. There's my beautiful women. Please don't forget me when I'm gone' he begged you. You shook your head and more tears formed in your eyes. 'I won't ever forget you Boromir... My One.' Boromir smiled and made a choking sound. He wouldn't be here much longer. 'Know that I have always loved you, don't ever forget that' he said, his tone more serious now. You bent forward and kissed his cold lips. When you pulled back his eyes stayed close and his heart had stopped beating.
