Imagine ... has been smitten with you ~ Bard - Part 3

This third pard of the imagine was requested by @KarinaFalkDanielsen and @PurpleLiciousUnicorn .

You kept pacing around in your room. Nervously you were biting your fingernails even though you knew you shouldn't be doing that. Butterflies were roaming around in your stomache.

Your palms were sweaty.

You kept checking your reflexion in the mirror. The flowers that Tilda had braided into your hair. Check. Still in place.

This was also only the third time in an hour you looked outside to check if the weather was still nice.

Were your heels still killing you? Check.

The door opened with a only the smallest hint of a sound but it didn't escape your tense ears.

Tilda was standing in front of you. She was wearing the dress you had picked out together. Her hair was also done nicely, a few flowers sticking out from her braid. Her mouth had dropped open when she saw you.

'You look absolutely stunning (y/n)' she said in admiration. She took a step forward, unsure if you would allow it or not.

It had been many months since that faithful night where Lake Town was destroyed and the dragon was killed. Nobody called him Smaug anymore. The word dragon simply send everyone in a cheerful mood. That night would never be forgotten.

And now, Bard was the new leader of his village. Today you would become his wife. And the step mother of his children. Though you never called them your step children.

At first you weren't even sure if they wanted you in their family or not. So they had gone out of their wa to make you feel welcome in their house. You were glad you got along so well. Otherwise it wouldn't have worked out between Bard and you. That's why you called them your bonus children. It sounded much better to you then stepchildren.

You wore beautiful, long, sky blue, lace dress that did miracles for your body.

'Are you ready to marry Da?' Tilda asked you, causing you to stop daydreaming about the past months.

You smiled sweetly at her. She was so mature for her age. Nothing had gone unnoticed by the children. Oh oh, there you go again. You took a deep breath. 'Aye, I am ready'.

Tilda and you hooked your arms together. Like that you walked out of the room and out of the door, into the sun. The sound of violins entered your ears as the door opened in front of you. The sun was shining brightly and people got up from their seats to welcome the bride.

They played your favorite song, like Bard had instructed. Man sat on your right side while your dwarves friends and one hobbit sat on the left side. They all smiled at you with pride gleaming in their eyes. But you didn't notice.

You only had eyes for the men who was waiting for you down the aisle.

You walked over the rose petals beneath as your feet carried you to your soon-to-be-husband. His smile reached from ear to ear. His eyes wandered over your form as you came closer with every step you took.

There was love between the two of you. There had always been love. You were thankful that he had put so much effort in getting you to stay. It was all paying off for him now.

Tilda stepped to the left. Bard took your hands in his and leaned in to place a soft kiss on your cheek. 'You are breathtaking' he whispered in your ear.

A blush crept up from your neck to your face. 'You are quite handsome yourself if I may say so.' Bard nodded his thanks.

This was the day that neither of you would ever forget. The day that your lives would entertwine. The day that your two roads became one. The day...

Do I need to say more?
