The Ranger's daughter - Part 6 - Aragorn x Legolas x Reader
"What is wrong, meleth nîn..........?" Arwen enquired, despite knowing that only one person could make the Ranger look as he did at that moment. The Lady of Rivendell unable to stop herself from smiling as she watched Aragorn, his gaze set on the waterfall.
"(Y/n)........." He simply replied, looking to the Evenstar as she placed her hand on his shoulder.
"You are back not even a day, and already you are worried........."
"It is not her that I am worried about.........."
"Then who..........." Arwen asked, as she took his hand and led him to over to one of the carved stone benches.
"Legolas............"
"Legolas.......? Why would Legolas............"
"It was the way that he looked at (Y/n) when I introduced them. There was something in his eyes........." Aragorn explained. Looking up as Arwen chuckled softly.
"Is that all..........?"
"(Y/n) is still a child..........."
"No, meleth nîn. It is you that still sees her as a child. (Y/n) may still be young for an elf, but she is also grown. And she has been attracting the eye of many an ellon for quite some time. I know that you wish she were still the little elfling that you would carry on your shoulders, but you cannot stop the natural course of things, and one day she will find her one........would it be so bad if her one was Legolas..........?" Arwen continued, as she squeezed his hand. Aragorn letting out a heavy sigh.
He had never really thought that one day (Y/n) would fall in love and want to marry; that he would lose his little girl to another man. For even though she loved many others, Elrond, Elladan and Elrohir, Gandalf and even Lindir, that love was much different to that you shared with your one. The notion of a man loving his daughter like that, even if it were Legolas, not something he wanted to think of; though he had to suppose that Lord Elrond saw him the same way. That the lord worried just as much for Arwen, as he did for (Y/n).
"But you should not worry about such things now. Just because Legolas looked at her in a way, does not mean anything. As I told you, he is not the first ellon to have his eye fall on her, and I doubt he will be the last. Now, you should really be with (Y/n); she was so worried about you when I returned only with Frodo. And I am sure that she would like to spend as much time as she can with her ada on her special day." Arwen said, after noticing that the Ranger had lost himself in his thoughts once again. Aragorn nodding, as he got to his feet, knowing that she was right. The two of them making their way to the kitchens, where (Y/n) had taken the hobbits.
>>-----------------------------------<<
(Y/n) had smiled when she saw the looks on the faces of the hobbits, as they had made their way into the kitchens. The servant's bowing low as the elleth, that had been raised as part of Lord Elrond's family, entered with four little men behind her. All of them now sat at a table, with plates of food in front of them. Yet (Y/n) was far too lost in her thoughts to think of eating. There a feeling in the pit of her stomach that made it impossible for her to think of anything, but him.
Legolas.........as she had informed the prince, her father had told her all about him; but she had never expected the sight that would be before her, when the two actually met. He was beautiful, more exquisite in baring and face than any other ellon that she had ever seen. His hair reminded her of sunlight, and his eyes, oh those eyes made her think of the deepest bluest pool in Imladris where she would spend many an hour reading the history of Middle-earth. She had felt something between them, even when they had only been stood there; a spark of something that had only increased when he had taken her hand. (Y/n) able to feel a wonderful sensation that filled her as his lips had touched her skin. Yet what did it mean...........?
She had asked Arwen once what it was like to be in love. What it was like to have found your one; (Y/n) never blind to what her father and the lady shared, to the love they held for one another. The Evenstar telling her that she would know; that every part of her, her body, mind and spirit would tell her when her one was before her. So, was that what this was........? Was her father's dearest friend, her one......? No.....it sounded silly now she thought it. The prince was so much older than her, so much more worldly, so much wiser, so what could see in her; but she had certainly felt something. Something.......well, glorious. And perhaps, if it were real, it could be something that she would feel again, tonight at the celebration. But for now........(Y/n) shaking her thoughts from her mind, as she heard laughter; she had four lovely hobbits that were after her attention.
