Prophecies - Part 11 - Tom x Bert x William x Bilbo x Reader
(Y/n) covered her mouth, concealing the gasp that had left her lips as she saw the scene before her. Thankfully it was not the one with the charred bodies; but it was not much better. Half the Company bound to a spit and being roasted over a large fire by one of the huge, ugly creatures; while the other half, including her poor Bilbo, were laid in a pile upon the floor in the hessian bags that were tied at their necks.
She had no idea what to do; it not as if she had been in a situation like this before. Her vision not giving her any insight into what she might do; but she had to do something, for if she didn't........no, the thought was too awful. She could not let that happen. And even though she was scared, even though she had no idea who or what the creatures were that wanted to harm the Company, she could not standby. The seer taking a deep breath before stepping out into the clearing.
>>-----------------------------------<<
Bilbo was doing his best to think of something, anything to get he and the others out of this situation. That, and he was worried about (Y/n). He had heard some of what Thorin had said to her, how he had called her a witch, a curse, the hobbit angry at the dwarf; for if he would only spend some time with her, get to know her as he and the others had, then he would see that she was anything but a curse. He would see that she was in fact the sweetest, kindest most beautiful daughter of men that he had ever lain his eyes on. Not that he had seen any other daughters of men, he would admit; but he still believed that he was right. And if the worst thing were to befall him and the others, the last thing that he wanted was for (Y/n) to share the same fate. A thought suddenly appearing in his mind, as the trolls continued to talk about how to cook the Company. The hobbit struggling to get to his feet, before hopping forward in his sack; Bilbo just about to speak, until into the clearing came (Y/n). The dwarves turning on the spit and those on the ground shouting out for her; telling her to leave, to get away. Yet, as if she had not heard them say anything, she continued on her way forward, coming to stand before the three trolls. Bilbo feeling his heart thump violently against the inside of her chest.
"Hello........." (Y/n) simply said. The dwarves, the trolls looking between one another and then back to (Y/n) as she just stood there and smiled.
"My name is (Y/n).....what are yours.........?" The seer continued. None of the males present sure what was going on in her mind. Yet instead of the trolls grabbing her and putting her in a sack too, one of the vile creatures got to his knees in front of her, before wiping his hand on his side then holding it out for her to shake.
"Tom, miss. And that's Bert and William......" The creature told her, sniffing and wiping his nose with his other hand, as she placed her small palm in his. None of the dwarves, nor the hobbit able to believe what they were seeing.
"Well.......it is very nice to meet you, Tom. And you too, Bert and William. Now, I was wondering if you would all be so kind as to do something for me.......?" (Y/n) continued, still smiling at the three creatures. A sigh of relief leaving her lips, as the trio just nodded.
"Wonderful. You see, the dwarves and the hobbit you have here, well, they are all my friends; and I would very much appreciate it if you would take them off the spit, as I really wouldn't like for you to cook them. We have a very long journey ahead of us, and without them I would get lost, or worse, have to go back to my old life. So, would you be the sweetest things and take them off there....?" The seer gulping down at the large lump that had formed in her throat, as Bert and William took the spit full of dwarves from over the fire and removed the binding that had kept her friends attached to the large piece of wood; while Tom stayed close to her, a odd kind of smile on his face and a dreamy look in his eyes as she turned her attention to her friends, who gave her the strangest look in reply.
She had no idea how she was doing this. No idea why these three, smelly, odious creatures were doing everything that she asked of them. (Y/n) wondering if what Thorin had said earlier was right, and that she somehow had an ability to charm or enchant others. But whatever the case, she was not about to question it. The dwarves were off the spit, and although they were still in sacks, they were at least no longer in danger of being that night's dinner. The seer feeling her heart beat a little quicker, as she caught movement out of the corner of her eye; (Y/n) sure that it was Gandalf. Sure, that he had a plan of his own, and she just had to keep doing what she was doing.
"Aren't all of you sweet. Thank you so much.........." Tom getting to his feet and joining Bert and William who were now both looking at her in the same way that Tom had been.
"The dawn will take you all........." A voice suddenly declared. (Y/n) almost falling to her knees in relief as she saw the wizard stood atop the large rock.
"Who's that...........?"
"No idea..........."
"Can we eat him too..........?" The creature's words making it seem as though whatever control over them she had had, had now been broken. (Y/n) shielding her eyes, as Gandalf raised his staff and cracked the boulder, allowing the rays of the new days sun to flood the scene. The seer, as the air was suddenly filled with cheers, opening her eyes to see that the terrible trio were now nothing more than stone.
