(Aian's pov)

It was a couple days since the wood incident. I honestly don't know why Thorin is making such a fuss. I know I was out for more than an hour collecting wood but I still managed to get three rabbits also! Isn't that good? Apparently not for Thorin though. He glares at me like I did something wrong. It was only a little mistake!

"Uhh, miss Aian?" Came a tentative voice from behind and Ori's horse came up behind Talian.

His horse was a pretty light brown with a chocolate mane. Her eyes were soft and intelligent. She was a sweet and my second favorite horse. My first is Talian of course though! Her name is Spring. (Like the season not like jumping.) Anyways I really like his horse! She is so cute!!!! (AN: I'm not sure if that's really how his horse is but I didn't want to look it up so let's pretend his horse is like Spring.)

"Yeah Ori? And it's just Aian not miss Aian." I asked curiously. Ori and I hadn't really talked on the journey except for the usual 'hello' or 'good morning' or 'goodnight'.

"Are you alright?" He asked looking at me worriedly.

"Why do you ask that? I'm fine." I say surprised.

"You look sort of angry." Ori explained.

"Really?" He nodded in reply. "Well I'm just a bit angry at Thorin for that... That thing happened a couple days ago. "

I wasn't sure what to call it. Was it a accident? Well I didn't do anything wrong I just took a long time to get the wood. Hmmm..... Maybe a incident? No that's not it...... Well whatever it was it's done but I'm still angry at Thorin for yelling at me. I did get food also. It's not fair!

"Don't worry you didn't do anything wrong. You found dinner also so that's good." He said trying to make me feel better.

"Thanks Ori." I said with a small grin at him. "That helps a lot."

A small blush forms on his cheeks and he mumbles something that sounds like its nothing. He nudges Spring gently to get her to speed up and catches up to his brothers.

'Thanks Ori.... That helped a lot' I thought.

"Master Gandalf, can you do something about this deluge?" Asked Dori.

"Dori, you don't like the rain?" I asked surprised. I love the rain and how it feels. It's like swimming. And because I love swimming, I love the rain!

"You do?!" He cried. "How can anyone like this horrid weather? Master Gandalf can you please do something?"

"It's raining master Dori and it will continue to rain until it's done." Gandalf replied. "If you wish to change the weather then you should find another wizard."

"Are there any?" Bilbo asked and Gandalf turned to him confused. "Other wizards I mean. Are there any other wizards?"

"There are five of us. The greatest of our order is Saruman the White. There are two blue wizards who I forgot the names of. And then there is Radagast the Brown."

"Is he a great wizard or is he more like you?" I had to bite my lip to keep from bursting into laughter as Gandalf turned to glare at the hobbit.

"I think he is a great wizard in his own way. He prefers the company of animals to the company of people." Gandalf said through clenched teeth.

I couldn't take it anymore and burst into laughter from where I rode Talian next to Bilbo. Gandalf glared at me which only made me laugh harder.

Thorin finally stopped us at an old abandoned farmhouse. I had a bad feeling about the place and I could tell Gandalf did too.

As Thorin finished ordering Gloin and Oin to make a fire Gandalf approached him. "A farmer and his family lived here. I think it would be wiser to move on. We could make for the hidden pass."

Thorin glared at him. "I told you I would not go near that place!"

I stopped listening by then because Fili and Kili approached me. "Hey Aian, we have to look after the ponies so can you get the wood?"

"Of course I can. Do you want me to do anything else for you two?" I said teasingly with a smile.

"Yes, can you get my sleeping bag ready and bring my dinner when it's done?" Asked Fili, grinning.

"Of course. Do you need anything Kili? Anything I could do for you?"

"Nah, I'm good." He said with a smirk.

"Great-" I was cut off by Gandalf storming away.

"What's wrong Gandalf?" Bilbo asked. "Where are you going?"

"To seek the company of the only one here who has any sense, mister Baggins!"

"And whose that?"

"Myself!" Gandalf said and stormed away.

"He will come back won't he?" Bilbo asked me worriedly. "Right Aian?"

"Sure, he just needs to clear his head. Thorin's annoyed him that's all." I reassured him. 'I don't blame you Gandalf, Thorin's really annoying me too! If only I could go away like that. For a break.' I thought, wistfully.

This time I got some wood without Thorin yelling at me. I'm still mad at him though! The mighty Thorin Oakenshield only glared at me as I got back. That's a start. He's not yelling at me at least.

I went over to Bombur to get my dinner. There was only a little left (probably because Bombur ate it all). I got the little left and two other bowls. I looked at Bombur confused and he asked if I could take that to the boys. I nodded and started on my dinner. It was delicious! Now, to bring Fili and Kili some dinner.

I called Bilbo over to help me carry it. When we got to the two boys I was shocked.

"Fili, Kili.... Why are you just staring at the horses. I know you have to watch them but can't you sit down and relax a bit? The horses aren't going to disappear. Oh yeah, here's your dinner."

"Yes Aian, we can sit down. We are aloud to but that's not the problem." Fili said, his eyes never leaving the horses.

"What's the problem then?" Bilbo asked.

I was walking over to greet Talian when Kili said something that made me stop in my tracks. I turned around slowly.

"What do you mean you lost the horses? They're all here. Right?" I asked. When I got no answer I asked more sharply. "Right?"

"Well..." Kili started.

"We're supposed to be looking after the ponies...." Said Fili.

"Only we've encountered a slight problem..." Kili stated.

"We had 17...."

"Now we have 15." Finished Kili.
