Trolls!

A.N. I'm sorry for this long wait. I know I suck and I'm really mean but I just couldn't think of what to write and I think I've got it now!

Thank you to ZoeStOng, lestrange12, MadisonBeck8, funread68, crunchie17, and everyone else who read and reviewed my story!

(Aian's pov)

I looked at Kili and Fili in shock. I just couldn't understand what they told me.

"What did you just say? 'Cause I could have sworn I just heard you say that we are missing two horses. But that's crazy because you were supposed to be watching them." I said.

"Well you see, we are watching the horses. We must have just been preoccupied for a second or two and the horses ran off." Defended Fili. "But we can still find the horses. They must have left some sort of tracks."

We all started to look around for tracks that could lead us to the missing horses. The entire time I was berating them about playing when they were supposed to be working. Bilbo was hurrying after us with the bowls of soup in his hands. He looked really worried.

I went over to him, leaving Kili and Fili looking happier now that I left and stopped yelling at them.

"Don't worry Bilbo," I said reassuringly once I reached him. "I'm sure that we'll find the horses! They can't have gone too far."

He looked at me with wide eyes. "Are you sure? But what if some huge monster took them? How do we get them back?"

"Aww, don't worry Bilbo! If some creature did take them, then we can fight it to get them back. Or maybe you can sneak in and cut the horses loose. Either way, we'll find them." If possible, he looked even more terrified now. Was it something I said?

"Hey! Over here!" Called Fili a bit to our left. When we reached them, Kili put a finger to his lips in warning and pointed down to a little clearing.

I nearly gasped out loud. Trolls! So that's why the horses are missing! Still, how did Fili and Kili miss a troll? They are about 4 meters tall and really loud!

"What do we do?" Asked Bilbo.

The nephews of Thorin looked at each other and then at Bilbo. They studied him for a couple moments and when they nodded, Bilbo looked terrified.

"We are not going to do anything." Said Kili.

"You on the other hand.... Mountain trolls are really slow. They aren't very smart either." Fili continued, taking a bowl from Bilbo.

"You are small and quiet. If you are fast.... Well, there's no reason why you can't free the horses without being seen." Finished Kili, taking the second bowl from Bilbo.

"We'll go get the others. If you need help, hoot twice like a barn owl and once like a screech owl. " said Fili.

"Hey wait!" I protested, catching on. "You can't-!"

"Good luck!" Said Kili and they pushed him towards the fire.

(Bilbo's pov)

Wait, are they leaving me here? All alone? They know I can't fight the trolls! I don't know how to make it down there without being seen.

I turned around to protest but they had already left. My last memory of them was Fili and Kili pulling Aian along with them. She looked very worried and that made me terrified.

(Aian's pov again)

When they finally let me go, I punched them in the gut.

"Why did you drag me off like that?! And why did you leave Bilbo?! We have to help him!" I snapped at them, getting ready to punch them once more.

"We have to get the others! Besides, Hobbits are quiet and can get by without being seen. Bilbo'll be fine." Said Fili, doubled over and coughing. Kili was the same; groaning on the ground and clutching his stomach.

"Fine then!" I snapped and grabbed them by back of their shirts. Pulling them up, I dragged them with me as I ran back to where we set up camp. They spluttered and gasped for me to stop running so fast. My response: I ran even faster.

A.N. I know this is a short chapter but it's mostly a filler. The next chapter will be up in around 5 days or so. Thank you for reading my story and hanging with me!
