Riley is incredibly smart and ambitious. A lover of books and learning. She's been a keen fan of history from a very young age. Historical dates she's good with. Romantic dates, however, is where she's clueless, how she ended up dating (then dumping) Sebastian Quaid is beyond her. Spending six weeks abroad visiting historical sites sounds like a dream come true. Spending those six weeks with her ex-boyfriend Sebastian? That she can do without.

Sarcastic self-proclaimed 'ladies man', Sebastian is your typical guitar wielding, artistic guy. Ask Riley and she would say he was a walking cliche.  When he hears about the trip to central Europe, seeing endless artistic sites, he couldn't be happier. Even after his break up with Riley, he's happy to be spending six weeks with her so he can tell her his side of the story. Then again, she doesn't seem too happy to see him.
