3Gun wandered over to the town council offices and examined the new territory map created by CrazyGoose, at the newspaper office. He was amazed at the growth of the surrounding counties and the expanding road system. Some of the names brought back fond old memories, and some did not. He strolled around, nosing about, seeing if the mayor was entertaining any visitors.

A little later Billy slipped out to Tent City and looked up Jasper. They weren't the best of friends and Jasper was reluctant to listen until he heard that Billy wanted him to follow Rue to Destiny and watch over her.

He explained that Rue had charged him with helping to protect the town if Tex Mex arrived to carry out his threat. He would anyway but they had a personal reason that went back to his days in Destiny. He was also going to enlist Jujube, who had a self interest in her well being.

There was an awkward meeting between the men and Autumn, when she showed up. She set them all straight on what her choices would be other than the fact she said she would be in BG when Jujube got back.

Lorne was still agitating over Myna and 3Gun had to keep him from galloping off again, maybe missing her again and it would never end. He knew his Deputy would be back and he talked Lorne into staying by telling him about the threat to AJ by the railroad men.

At first Lorne didn't seem to care but when he realized how he was feeling about Myna and how Loren felt about AJ, he agreed and concentrated on watching the railroad men.

Happy to have those things settled, 3Gun hurried to the cafe and was thrilled to find the table all set with a candle and a big bowl of noodles. They were beginning to cool and he hoped CrazyGoose would be along to share them. He waited until he could wait no longer and he ate the noodles, finishing just as she came through the door.
