It never rains but it pours in the Gulch. Next big crisis was Little Ron running away to be a cowboy. He was always trying this. He wanted to be like Billy and 3Gun. Turned out he went to the blacksmith, Hugh Bellows, because he knew all the horses were kept there. Except for 3Gun's; nobody knew where it stayed, not even 3Gun.

Hugh tried to talk him into school but in the end, told the sheriff where he was. 3Gun found him trying to climb on to CrazyMoose's back and patiently took back to CG at the paper.

Seemed that Deputy Darkly's crisis was set aside while she stuck her nose into the gossipy affairs of 3Gun and CG. Guess she needed a distraction since the bad guys, those still left, seemed to be on hiatus.

That might have worked if Marshal Lorne hadn't gone all moral and weepy over his situation with Darkly. He started with belittling himself as a protector of his sweetheart and suggesting he throw himself on his sword and leave. But not before plastering their earlier years as fated lovers all over town.

3Gun gave him a piece of his mind before retreating to his comfort zone under the stairs at the back of the saloon. It didn't last long. Loopy Lou showed up again digging around town for her gossip with her sights set, it seemed, on the personal lives of CG and 3Gun.

AJ was thrilled to be back home with Loren and he set out to make her a fine dinner. He got carried away and made so many dishes he invited the rest of the folks involved and the little cafe was filled. Even Mo and Qi were sent off with a huge basket of food.

Things weren't all good. Will Barter, instead of just doing the job he was asked to do, he decided to try and make some sales while he was there. The men that listened to his spiel got upset and roughed him up before tossing him in the jail. They were getting out of hand and threatened a hanging.

Will managed to have a wire sent and 3Gun told Lorne to take Darkly and go fetch him home. They would have some time together to sort out their issues and they would get to practice a little peace keeping together.

Billy had gone to Tent City to find out what he could from Lou and got more than he bargained for. She told him what she knew about Margarita and then she gave him evidence of something he wished he had never seen.
