The saloon was filling up with celebrants. The bar was busy, Loren was belting out songs and it was the first time in a while the town let its hair down a bit. Even then 3Gun had reservations about Tex Mex. He might have run away but he wasn't the type to pass defeat off and move along.

Billy and Unger arrived back with the bodies and the prisoners. Unger left the bodies on ice at the livery and Billy locked up the men who were more than happy to be quiet when he pointed a finger at them. He waited for Unger and they hit the saloon, ready to party. Billy was going to brace Rue and get her to make a decision when he saw Chief Thingamajig arriving with a young buck in tow; Jujube, Rue's supposedly intended.

Peso was making the old player piano swing and Rue joined Loren on stage, both singing up storms. Darkly arrived all flushed and grinning, she had just returned from the telegraph office, apparently she had wired Lorne about the prisoners and he wired right back that he was on his way.

Brownies from AJ, muffins and lemonade from CG and of course something little harder for the cowboys. Dancing began and the volume went up in the saloon. Tiddly, all tiddly, tried to drag Kae into the dancing until she put the muzzle of her gun against his nose. He decided on another dink instead.

While this was all going on 3Gun and Satchell had a conversation, over the noise, about accommodation for the girls. He was spending a lot of money providing for them. 3Gun agreed and said when this hootenanny was over he would talk to the mayor and the others.

True to his word, 3Gun spoke to the mayor and was told that the town coffers were pretty low. They hadn't been able to collect taxes from the Tent City crowd because of the Mexican gang but if he could devise some way to raise money, he had the council's backing. Back at the saloon he told the others what the mayor had said and of Satchell's plea; they needed a plan.

Out of nowhere, MoonshineNoire leaned on the bar and looked at everyone, suggesting that with all the available talent they should have a town jamboree. The idea caught fire and right away ideas were flying around like bullets from a shootout. This was going to be bigger than 3Gun envisioned and he said they would need permits from the mayor.

Kae, fending off a more than inebriated Tiddly, said she would see the mayor and get the permits . . . guaranteed. The excitement went on with talks of food and drink and games to raise the money and they would invite all the folks from Tent City. CrazyGoose and 3Gun became the centre of teasing again about getting together and he begged off saying he needed to do the paperwork for the prisoners.

Kae returned quickly, waving the permits and plans got under way. As the work progressed, word spread around the countryside and reached the ear of Tex Mex. He immediately made his own plans and with a connection to a friend of a friend he found Ruby and made a deal to get his revenge on his enemies in Busted Gulch.
