TW: slurs and other shit

Niko learned how to live a good part of her life blind, it was hard at first and her parents would hit her for going into things and stuff. For her this was normal and she assumed that everybody's parents was like this. Maybe not on the blindfold thing, but it was to protect people... to not read anybody's mind. 

She started middle school and it was bad. People didn't want to talk to her because of her quirk, she knew that the teachers wanted her to use a blindfold because she had accidentally used her quirk on them. Niko felt bad for that but didn't tell them.

Niko had no friends. She was ignored in the beginning, well before one off the cool and though kids begun to pick on her. It was shoves in the hallways, people tugging at her hair, punches. But always on places she could hide, so her parent's wouldn't find them. She knew that her parents would be angry and not give her any dinner if they found them.

Her main bullies was three boys. Daiki Warui was the "leader" and the strongest of them, he had a strength enchanting quirk, sure it was not that powerful but it still hurt when he used it on her. Hikaru and Hisao Futago were twins, both of them had shape shifting quirk. Hikaru could turn into a big snake, it was not poisonous. And Hisao could turn into a brown bear. 

Today was another of those days, when the boys cornered her. Niko reminded herself that middle school would end in a month, everything would be over. High school would start and everything would be better.

"Where do you think you are going little Meinu?" Daiki asked her as they cornered her outside the school, near the little pond.

Meinu was a word they called her, she was pretty sure it meant Bitch. Niko didn't like it at all, no it was an insult.

"Home.." Niko said, even if she hated talking.

She hated talking so much that she even learnt herself sign language trough YouTube. But she rarely used it, only when she was asked questions in public without anyone she knew.

"Why do you think we would let you go huh!?" Daiki asked and punched her collarbone, it hurt.

"Stop that!" a voice could be heard, it sounded like a boy.

A boy with long black hair that was defying gravity and glowing red eyes approached them. He was short, shorter then Niko herself.

"Haaah? what do you want fag?" Daiki asked and turned around, but was still ready to punch Niko. She would know, she read his mind.

'Don't blink, don't blink, don't blink- god damn it Shota, do. not. fucking. blink.! be a hero and save her! don't blink, don't blink, don't blink-' that was the new boy's thoughts, Shota... a name fitting a hero.

Shota didn't blink, and it was funny to see her bullies faces when they couldn't use their quirks.

"What the fuck did you do you god dammed fag?" Daiki said after punching him but it was very weak.

"..why are you calling me a fag? is it because of my hair?" Shota asked Daiki.

Daiki didn't answer.

"Hikaru, Hisao- take him!" 

"Yes boss!" They said at the same time.

Their quirks did in fact not work, but they had muscles like normal. Niko realized that her hero, Shota would get hurt by them and she did something unbelievable. She picked up a rock that laid on the ground and threw it at Hisao, the rock accidentally hit him on his head which knocked him out cold.

Shota made some weird punch and Hikaru got knocked out. Daiki saw this and became pale, his quirk didn't work and he was outnumbered, not that the fag or Meinu could take him out, no never. But he still ran away.

Shota blinked frantically while looking trough his pockets for something. He finally found the thing he was looking for.. eye drops? That makes sense.

Niko signed a quick 'thank you' to the boy and ran away. Shota saw that she signed him thank you, but got a bit sad when she ran away. He had gotten his hopes up that they could be friends.
