Androsat 3
Androsat 3 is a planet significantly larger than the Earth, but also significantly less dense, meaning that its gravitational pull is comparable to that of the Earth. It is the third planet (and most easily habitable) in the Alpha Andromedae system (not really but let's go with it, its fiction bro), which is a peculiar point in the cosmos where a significant multitude of universes intersect, making Androsat 3 a prime hub for interuniversal commerce, as well as giving the nations on the planet a leg up in the colonisation of uninhabited planets without needing to travel significant distances, bringing them greater prosperity.
Androsat 3 is currently governed by the Union of Andromedan States, established in 1989 (2019 on the Gregorian Calendar), an organisation that settles disputes between nations to prevent the almost constant state of war on the planet prior to its formation.
Androsat 3 utilises the Andromeda Calendar, which is comparable to the Gregorian Calendar in that it is based off of Jesus (as the original colonists were early Christians), however it begins with the resurrection of Jesus, and not his birth, resulting in Andromeda dates being thirty years behind their Gregorian counterparts. Androsat 3 completes one orbit around its star system at the same rate as Earth does, so a year on Androsat 3 is the same amount of time as a year on Earth.
The climate of Androsat 3 is slightly cooler than that of Earth. Equatorial climates (between the tenth parallels) of Androsat 3 are typically of a desert nature, save for in coastal areas where it is more tropical. In the north, the weather is never more than 75 Fahrenheit north of the 30th parallel (on Earth this is just north of the Gulf of Mexico), and weather from the 60th parallel on Earth begins at the 45th parallel on Androsat 3. However, in the southern hemisphere, the south pole never cools below 50 Fahrenheit.
Flora of Androsat 3 is highly abundant. A typical 10 foot Androsat tree can consume as much CO2 as (and therefore produce as much O2 as) approximately 500 80 foot tall aspens. These plants can also utilise SO2, as they developed to consume exhaust gases produced by the multitude of volcanoes on the planet. However, upon arrival, humans began trying to restrict the volcanic emissions, resulting in oxygen-saturated air that was highly flammable and caused many disasters. To undo the difference, Androsat 3 has a heavy reliance on fossil fuels, primarily imported from their colonies, which they use heavily in industry and transportation to maintain a healthy balance of carbon emission and oxygen emission.
