Chapter Twenty Three: Furious Separations
Dedicated to Yashikabalani :D

{Update: I thought I published this chapter over 120 hours ago...what's going on Wattpad?}
Hey guys! Happy Friday! (I know it's Tuesday, but let's just pretend that it's Friday, okay? :D)
How have your weeks been?
Question: Which order would you prefer? Working for your best friend as a personal servant for five years first before you two switch roles (your best friend works for you as a personal servant for another five years)...or would you have your best friend be your personal servant first for five years before you two switch roles (you become your best friend's personal servant for another 5 years)?
Confusing, I know.
(My answer: Just putting this out there - I don't really have a best friend, just a group of close friends. However, if I were ever in such a scenario, I would work for my best friend first for five years, before having my best friend work for me for another five years)

THE QUARTERBACK CAME out from his tutor's car, with a dazed look. Hearts filled his eyes as he staggered out to go to the main school, at half past one.
It was lunch and as Jace, Jack and Parker headed for the cafeteria, Madison showed up to tell Jace that there was an assignment she had forgotten to give him the day before and he would have to hand it in tomorrow after school.
Of course she created the lie to lure Jace away and get him to her car. As he stumbled through the corridors with the cafeteria in sight, his mind still on Madison, he didn't notice the person he walked into.
That was able to snap him out of his reverie. He scrambled to help the person up. "Are you alright? I didn't quite see you there,"
"Just peachy," She responded.
Jace's heart dropped when he saw that it was the beauteous blonde that he had walked into. She didn't look pleased.
"Jace, where on earth have you been?" Dawn asked, crossly. "I've been looking for you everywhere. We had lunch plans, remember? I actually had to cancel with Bailey to have lunch with you and she was furious,"
"I'm so sorry, Dawn, my dearest," He ran his fingers through his hair, wondering how his tutoring session took so long. "I lost track of time,"
"I've asked everyone about your whereabouts," She stated, her eye glinting with an emotion that Jace could not decipher. "Parker and Jack told me that you had gone to receive an assignment from your tutor,"
Jace was silent.
"I can smell her on you, Jace!" Dawn choked out, running her fingers through her hair. "I don't know what hurts worse - the fact that I told you to stay away from her but you blatantly ignored me or the fact that you are cheating on me, with my former step mother,"
"Dawn, I'm sorry. Really, I am," Jace's hand reached out for her own hand. "I know you told me to stop and I did listen. I went off with her to receive an actual assignment but one thing led to another,"
Dawn jerked her hand away, hiding it behind her. "Where's your self control? Don't you tell her to stop? Why don't you stop?"
"I don't know. I just...can't,"
"Jace. Let me spell this out for you because I'm afraid you are not seeing this situation for what it is. You are cheating on me, with my mother. You kiss me, but after, you go make out with my mother,"
Jace noticed the bitter and harsh tone that Dawn heard when she said the word 'mother'.
"And?"
"Don't you see that this is a problem?"
"I do,"
"Well...find the solution then,"
"Do I really have to?" The quarterback blurted out, before he clasped his hands over his mouth.
The beauteous blonde's nostrils flared. "Fine. Since you won't find a solution, I will. We're breaking up,"
Jace's heart dropped. "What?!"
"You heard me. I'm breaking up with you, Jace Alexander Hamilton and I never want to hear from you again, "
And she disappeared, with her blonde hair being shaped by the draft coming in from the windows as well as beating furiously against her Aztec print skirt.
