Chapter Three: Deadly messages

Dedicated to Suzievills for her constructive criticism on my chapter! I am very grateful for that!

                  CLICK.

“LET ME make this clear. I do not appreciate a lot of things,”

                  Click.

                  Click.

“Namely, I do not appreciate being taken advantage of. It is something that I do not take very lightly. Nor do I let it just...slide,

                   Click.

                   Click.

“Every human wears multiple masks a day. It's their genetic makeup before they go on set -- I mean, before they go about with their dreary lives. There is their good mask, their bad mask, their real mask, their weird mask and the mask that they didn't even know existed,”

                     Click.

                     Click.

“Everyone's life is like a sitcom. They each have their own story line that builds up to the grand plot that we call life. But at the end of each episode, the mask that they wear is always taken off and their true mask is shown,”

                     Click.

                     Click.

“I was not always this way, or so every rogue would say. I was human once. I laughed, I cried, I loved...and I enjoyed life, until my sitcom was cancelled and my mask was forcibly removed,”

                    Click.

                    Click.

“And what was my sitcom replaced with? A stupid romance comedy starring everyone's favourite actor and actress!”

                    Click.

                    Click.

“But actors and actresses can't act if they are...lamented, right?”

                   Click.

                   Click.

“Unless they are playing the role of skeletons or dead bodies in a horror story...wait, that's a good idea. Scratch that. That's a terrific idea!”

                  Click.

                  Click.

“And I, of course, will be the star of the show. Isn't that right Mr and Mrs Actor?”

                   Click.

                   Bang!

                   Bang!

                   Crash.

                   Click.

“How rude. Pardon my coworkers. They are...not right in the head,”

                  Click.

                  Pause.

An emotionless and cold chuckle reverbates around the room.

                 Click.

“Humans love justice. I mean, that's why we have so many superhero movies and televisiom shows, right? If you think about it, in our own subplots of life, we really are our own heroes. Where am I going with this?”

                  Click.

                  Click.

“Right. I am not human. Not yet. Until I become the hero of my story and until I get the justice that I so rightly deserve, I will become human again,”

                  Click.

                  Click.

“Two wrongs don't make a right, but neither do two rights make a wrong. I'm the hero of my show and heroes always do the right thing,”

                  Click.

                  Click.

“One thing may mean one thing to a person, but another thing to a different person. That's why there's the saying 'one man's trash is another man's treasure' and that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder',”

                  Click.

                  Click.

“I am going to focus on the former, not on the latter. I am not doing the wrong thing. I am not the bad guy here. I am simply taking back what was mine in the first place. Is that wrong?”

                  Click.

                  Click.

“If I am not human, then that begs the next question which is...what am I?”

                  Click.

                  Click.

“I am like all of you, but more. I am like none of you, but less. What we have in common is we all share one emotion - pain. What we do not have in common is we do not share the same...let's call it 'level'...of justice,”

                  Click.

                 Click.

“Some may go through so much, only to be told that the justice they desire cannot be served. I, however, do not take no for an answer and I absolutely do not rely on having people serve justice for me -- oh no,”

                Click.

                Click.

“If you want to get something done, do it with others. If you want to get something done right, do it yourself,”

                  Click.

                  Click.

“And that's why I am coming for you, Mr Actor. I won't rest until I have your blood in my hands, I won't eat until I see your wretched face again and I won't be satisfied umtil you permanently join my sitcom, along with Mrs Actor,”
