“OH NO,” THE beauteous blonde's twin sister muttered beside her. “Dawn, you are not going to like this,”
“Like what?” Dawn mused, squinting at the large crowd.
They appeared to be surrounding a particular locker and as the blonde twins approached it, the beauteous blonde realised that it was her locker.
The faded blue locker that used to match all the other lockers on that particular corridor, now stood out due to the bright coloured foul sentence that was scrawled across Dawn's locker.
Some people seemed to recognise the unfortunate owner of the vandalised locker and they parted to make way for Dawn and Bailey.
Bailey watched her sister for her reaction. Anger. Surprise. Anything. However, Dawn remained emotionless as ever, as her hand reached out to touch the streak of red paint on her locker.
Rubbing it in between her index finger and her thumb, Bailey was able to catch the words, “The paint is still wet,”
Bailey noted that the tone in Dawn's voice matched her facial expression - indifferent. Her arched eyebrows were neither raised nor lowered. Her eyes were as green, usually with a new emotion every time Bailey looked at them. This time, it was....almost boredom. Her lips were pressed into a thin line.
“Oh my goodness, Dawn!” A voice came from the back of the crowd.
While the crowd made way for Dawn and Bailey to pass through, Isabella had to cut her way through the people who were staring at her oddly.
“Your locker!” The cheerleader gasped, her eyes widened. “It's a—”
She stopped midway in her sentence when she saw Dawn raise her hand, the same hand that she used to reach out to touch the paint.
“Isabella,” Dawn looked at her best friend, blinking very slowly. “What are you doing?”
Isabella stared at her, before looking around. When her eyes finally met Dawn's void blue eyes, she asked, “What?”
“What are you doing?” Dawn repeated, her voice very silent, but the tone was demanding.
“What do you mean?”
Dawn cocked her head to Bailey. She darted her eyes from Bailey to the crowd and then back to her twin sister.
The blonde twin received the message loud and clear. “Alright people!” She clapped her hands. “You have exactly two and a half seconds to get out of here! Or else I'll come for each and everyone of you,”
The crowd vanished almost at once, well aware of Bailey's reputation and tactics.
“All clear,” Bailey reported back to her sister.
Dawn smiled at her gratefully before turning back to Isabella. “I know you are the one who did this. You have red paint in your hair,”
Isabella's hands reached up to touch her hair. “I do? Damn it!”
“You actually don't have paint in your hair Isabella,” Bailey commented, before scoffing. “But your confession has said it all,”
“You played me!” Isabella frowned, angry that she was tricked. Her hands dropped to her side for a moment, before she folded her arms. “I dislike the fact that you are too smart for me, Dawn,”
“I heard rumors, Isabella. I won't state the obvious, but it's pretty clear that our friendship to this point is pretty much over,” The beauteous blonde tilted her head.
“Friendship? There was no friendship to begin with. You were merely a pawn to my game, Dawn,” The cheerleader raised an eyebrow, her lips curling up to form what Bailey could only describe as a demented or a deformed smile.
“With Jace being the price,” Dawn completed her statement.
The brunette forced a smile. “Now you are catching on. A cheerleader and a quarterback make a good couple, don't you think?”
Bailey began to roll up her sleeves. “Do you know what I think—”
“Ah, ah, ah. We're on school property,” Isabella tutted, her smile growing more and more venomous.
“You are not worth my time or energy,” Dawn eyed at the brunette in her red and white cheerleading uniform. “Let's go Bailey,”
“I'll make you crack, Dawn. You may act rational now, but trust me, I will,” Isabella vowed, eying the beauteous blonde in her bohemian dress.

“Are you sure? ” Natalie asked Dawn for the umpteenth time as she shoved a crispy French fry into her mouth.
“I'm certain,” Dawn replied. “And if you ask me that again, that's the last thing you'll ever say,”
Natalie got the picture, before she forced more fries into her mouth. “ I'm eating now, ”
Natalie, Jade, Penelope, Marissa, Bailey and Dawn were all eating lunch at the cafeteria along with the rest of the school. Dawn and Bailey were the only two out of the group who were having a vegetarian based meal, due to the fact that both of them were vegetarians, although not strict.
Word got around about the incident in the morning and somehow, someone was able to link it with Isabella. Isabella was nowhere in sight, fortunately for Dawn. She was starting to get irritated by the number of people gossiping about it and the fact that Natalie asked if Dawn wanted to have Isabella be ‘taken care of’ by herself, Marissa, Jade, Penelope and Bailey was only fuelling her anger.
Dawn knew that Isabella would stand a chance against the five females so she spared Isabella's life.
However, what Isabella had in store for Dawn was something that the beauteous blonde would never ever think of.
The cheerleader sashayed into the cafeteria, pushing open the doors and taking long strides. Her chestnut hair flew behind her as she walked past tables in an outfit that turned several heads.
The orphans could see the boys ears widen with interest, as each one of them tried to look appealing to Isabella by puffing out their chest, seducing her with smothering looks or calling out to her with charming nicknames ranging from ‘baby’ to ‘doll’.
However, and unfortunately, Isabella's interest wasn't on them. It was focused on a certain quarterback, who was too engaged in a heated conversation with the Prime Minister's son and his closest companion about football.
“I'm telling you, Parker, your team may have won the battle but the war is far from over,” Jace declared, slamming his fist on the table.
“I would sleep with an eye open, if I were you,” Jack laughed, before slapping Parker's back.
“Shut up, Jack,” Parker grumbled as he stabbed a curly fry with his fork.
“Hello boys,” Isabella cut in. Despite the fact that she had addressed the whole table, her eyes were solely on Jace. “Mind if I join you?”
Jace and Jack's jaws dropped to the ground. Parked simply raised an eyebrow, before eating another fry, nonchalantly.
“Of course, Isabella. Sit next to me,” Jack patted the seat right next to him, in between him and Parker.
“Actually, I think I'll sit here,” Isabella slid, not into the seat beside Jace, but on Jace's lap.
The six girls watched as Jace placed his hand around her waist, after a moment of hesitation. Dawn could feel her heart fluttered at that.
“Hello Jace,” Isabella greeted in a smooth, red velvety voice. “I heard about your breakup with Dawn,”
Dawn's eyes narrowed by a small fraction.
“Yeah. It seems everyone has,” Jace shrugged, looking away from her, staring at an empty table a couple of feet away from their table.
“I'm so sorry to hear about it,” The brunette threw an arm around his neck, adjusting herself on his lap. “Is there anything I can do to make you feel better? Anything at all?”
Jace's eyes darted to Parker. Parker wasn't paying attention to them anymore. He kept his eyes on his food and continued eating as if Isabella wasn't there. His eyes then moved to Jack, who was eying Isabella, envious of the attention Jace was receiving from her.
The whole cafeteria was dead silent. Half of the eyes were on the quarterback and the cheerleader, while the other half were on the beauteous blonde, anticipating her reaction.
“No, I don't think that would be necessary,” Jace said, removing his hand from around her. “But thank you for your concern and offer,”
The cheerleader wasn't giving up that easily, though. “Nonsense. Dawn dumped you on false grounds and I am here to cheer you up. Let's go on a date, just you and I. We can go wherever the night takes us,”
“I don't think that's a good idea,” Parker finally spoke up. “Don't you have that Biology test coming up? You wouldn't want to miss your tutoring session, now would you?”
Jace could see his father's red face at the sound of that. In addition to Parker's statement, there was no tutor. He would have to study all by himself. “He's right. Sorry Isabella. Maybe another time,”
The brunette resisted the urge to glare at Parker. “You aren't his father,”
“But I know his father and he would be enraged to know that Jace went on a date the night before a test,” Jace's best friend raised an eyebrow.
“Well then. He doesn't need to find out,” Isabella stated, before turning her attention back to Jace. “Please, Jace. This is for your own good. You need to move on from Dawn,”
“I'm sorry, Isabella—”
He was cut off by Isabella placing her lips on top of his. His eyes were wide open for a second, before they slowly shut as he returned the kiss and he held Isabella's waist once more.
The eyes on Dawn were demanding a reaction, including the five who were sitting with her. The beauteous blonde simply placed her fork on her tray. Her eyes met Natalie's. “Do it. Make sure I'm with you before you let her have it,”
The five girls lips curved to form devious snarls.

“Hello Isabella,” Dawn greeted casually. It was after school and Isabella had just come out from her cheerleading practice.
Coincidentally, Dawn had just left the school after her Biology tuition with her teacher. The two were a few blocks away from the school, each walking at their own pace on the sidewalk.
Isabella spared Dawn half a glance before continuing on her walk home. “Hello, Dawn,”
The beauteous blonde was able to catch up very easily. “I heard that you managed to score a date with Jace,”
“Jealous?” The brunette taunted, with a smirk making its way to her face. She had turned to give Dawn her full attention.
“Jealous?” Dawn repeated before she threw her head back in laughter. “Oh no, no, no, no, no! I am not jealous in the slightest. But if you really must know how I am feeling, I am a little...irritated,”
“And what are you going to do about it?” Isabella flipped her brown hair, half sneering at the beauteous blonde. The cheerleader could surely take out Jace's former girlfriend with her intense workout schedule and height.
Dawn stopped walking, causing Isabella to stop walking as well. “We aren't on school property, are we?”
The question threw Isabella off guard. A frown crossed her face as Dawn started to walk towards her, cornering her into an dark alleyway. “Dawn, what are you doing?”
“You see Isabella,” Dawn feigned a smile, as she continued approaching the cheerleader. “That little stunt you pulled at lunch with Jace has really got me...aggravated. However, I'm not the only one who felt this way,”
As Isabella opened her mouth to retort, Bailey emerged from her hiding spot in between large boxes, north east from Isabella. The cheerleader noted that her sleeves were rolled up. “Do you want to finally hear what I think, Isabella?”
“I think we all have something to say,” Jade commented, from the south west of Isabella.
“You're right. But who's going to go first?” Natalie asked, with a hint of playfulness in her tone. She was north west of Isabella, opposite from Bailey.
“Good question,” Marissa mused, a smile on her lips as she pushed her back off from the wall. She was south east of Jade.
Isabella's eyes were as wide as saucers as she connected the dots and realised that she was in for trouble. The girls were closing in on her, fast. In her last resort, she turned to call the only person who could stop this. “Dawn...”
Unfortunately, the beauteous blonde felt unsympathetic towards her former best friend. She was already leaving the scene before things could get ugly. Before she exited, she said, “Do it,”
“Gladly,” Penelope cracked her knuckles, sending a shiver down Isabella's spine.
Dawn had cracked, due to Isabella. However, this did not work out the way it had in the cheerleader's mind, especially after the next few events that were to take place involving Isabella.
