Chapter 3- The Amulet

Eight whole minutes had past, but Ivy still could not stop crying. " Why can't I be the confident, amazing person my parents tell me I am?" Ivy muttered as oceans of tears spilled out of her eyes. She felt so stupid to think that she could ever handle being at school with so many other people. " My parents are going to be so disappointed in me. I let them down. I am nothing. I am useless," Ivy sobbed.
All of  a sudden, the ground beneath Ivy's feet began to shake. "What is happening!Someone come help me!" Ivy screamed at the top of her lungs, but no one answered. Realisation(English spelling) hit Ivy like a hard slap- if she tried to run out of the bathroom, she would most likely fall since the ground was shaking which meant she was trapped. Not knowing what to do, Ivy closed her eyes and prayed for the shaking to cease.
Abruptly, the shaking came to an end. A wave of relief swept over Ivy- she had survived! " Wait, where am I?" Ivy thought. Ivy was now in a dark, empty corridor. The only light came from a small lantern on the floor. A shiver ran down Ivy's spine. " This day just keeps on getting worse and worse by the second. This place gives me the creeps," Ivy whispered. With sweaty palms, Ivy picked up the lantern and began to walk down the corridor. Finally, Ivy had reached the end of the corridor, where a midnight blue door greeted her.
Nervously, Ivy opened the door and stepped inside the dimly lit room. Ivy's jaw dropped in awe the moment she got her first look of the room. A blue crystal hung from the ceiling while the floor was made of pure glass, but what really caught Ivy's attention was the device in the middle of the room. As soon as Ivy was about to take a closer look at it, a robotic voice stated, "Welcome, Hidden Warrior,".

Homeroom classroom

"Ivy, wait!" Mrs. Brown yelled, but Ivy didn't listen.
" What a dweeb," Claire chuckled, her best friends, (a.k.a her minions) Bella and Katie, nodding at her.
" Yea, what is her problem? We didn't even do anything to her," a boy named Aiden replied.
" Claire and Aiden, that is not how we talk in this classroom! Let's give Ivy a few minutes to breathe, and then Annalise can go find her in the bathroom," Mrs. Brown stated.
" Well I think we should go find this Ivy girl now and punish her for disobeying Mrs. Brown," Claire remarked.
" Oh shut up, Claire. Wouldn't hurt you to stop talking about nonsense once in a while," Annalise replied.
"Settle down, please," Mrs. Brown said sternly. Fifteen minutes later, Annalise went to the bathroom to find Ivy, but Ivy was nowhere in sight. With a beating heart, Annalise returned to the classroom and shouted," Ivy is missing!"
