Chapter 16: Something Terrible Again

Sakura POV

The door opened. A hand with dark loose cloth over gestured to come in. It was no mistake to be Hiro. I carefully opened the door wider, but couldn't see a thing. So I stepped in. Although I had told myself not to do such a risky thing, my body moved on its own. No, don't go. Don't do it. Stop! STOP! STOP IT AL READY!! I couldn't say any of that. My mouth moved, but the words didn't reach the air. Why? Did I lose my voice? Did I really lose it?

I stepped in the door unwillingly, but a force controlled me. Alright, time to block out that force with mindset. Calm down. I breathed in and out, in out, in out, slowly, faster, slowly, faster. I am the magic. The magic is me. United with magic as one being. The force cannot control me. The force of magic is me. It's united with me. The magic is me. I am the magic. The magic is one with me. I am one with the magic.

I focused in a short amount of time and broke off the magic. All of this was an illusion. Damn, who can make illusions like these to the point that I couldn't realize until now? No, it's my fault for realizing it. I wasn't calm. I was too tense to notice. I sat up and looked over at around. Geez, I was knocked out for 2 minutes, half the time I was in the illusion. Who tried to kill me with an illusion? If you are stuck in illusions, you're knocked out in real life and won't wake up. The guy trying to kill me, probably tried his best to make me panic.

I opened my eyes thinking about this illusion, ignoring the people next to my bed. It's in the category of the main five illusions called Flora. Ain't that nice? They're trying to piss me off by choosing the level of illusion named alike to Flore and it's a high level illusion. Flora is a level 5 illusion. The five main categories is also the levels. Level 1 is Ichira. As for level 2 is known as Erini. So then goes to level 3, Sando. Next level 4 has the name of Shitsu. And lastly, level 5, Flora. Flora is the strongest of them all, meaning that the person was trying to kill you. Within those levels are categories. Flora categories are Wutsu, a time revolving illusion, Gora, the memory revolving illusion, and lastly Gotsu, which is a combination of Wutsu and Gora.

I had Gotsu. Gora meaning that the time in the illusion is going faster than the speed of the outside world. It makes me take up twice as much energy than I should and exhaust my body to death. Wutsu, where I get bits of my past into the illusion and it messes with my mind, eventually making me take up so much energy by thinking that I'd die. Gotsu was both of them combined, he highest illusion spell possible. This should've killed me in an hour.

How the Wutsu contributed to my illusion was I couldn't speak in the illusion. I told Fairy Tail I couldn't speak when I didn't want to walk in the door, but my body did on its own. I didn't want to fall in love, but I did regardless. The room I walked in was full of darkness, just like me. Hiro was the one who led me in there. I hate him, just like how much I hate myself to put my own mind in darkness. The room of darkness was the room to the magic side of the council, where I was forbidden. I always rebelled against the rules, like in my illusion. The more I think about it, the more in adds up.

Now who would it be trying to kill me? I listed out the groups and people who'd benefit from it. Even as I did, the only one brought up to my mind to put the blame on was Hiro. He is a likely suspect, but I really need to stop suspecting him! I can't keep suspecting one guy only! Can he even use illusion magic anyways? What if someone else could? Someone working under him? Someone who I brought myself to trust? Right, I need to remember at all times there is a double agent. Ah, I hate this so much! I want to trust people, but because of this world I can't even trust Hisui. Onii-chan... For now he's the only one I can trust. Only him.

Aoi POV

"A double agent?" I turned around. "I'll look into it."

"Thanks," Darkness [Sakura] walked off in the distance to meet up with Hisui. Both of them walked in a café.

"I told him," Darkness [Sakura] muttered in her tank and shorts. "So I might be at peace for a while, if the double [agent] saw me say it. I said it with everyone around, so it'll be fine. The double [agent] will know I'm going to hunt them down now."

"You are putting up the first attack by sucking fear in them. It is what you like to do," Hisui sweetly smiled. She must've felt bad for the double agent. "It's what Aoi likes to do too. You both think too much alike. So I wonder; why did you two break up?"

"I think that guy should answer it," Darkness pointed me out. She knew I was following her. "After all, I know his next move from our minds thinking alike."

"And I do too," I popped out from under a random person's table.

They were shocked from me crawling out underneath from their table, but all I had to do was give them a handsome smirk and those girls' hearts fell right for me in one instance, forgetting how I was once under their table stalking my ex-girlfriend and the princess of Flore in a cafe.

"How nice to see you still do that," Darkness smirked. "Although, I would do just the same."

"Oh really, can you make those men over there fall for you by one smile after coming from under they're table?" I challenged her. "Your ability may not match up to mine."

"Tsk. Tsk. You're too cocky, Aoi. Of course I can, without a smile in fact."

"Go on to it then, my lady."

Darkness [Sakura] hid under a table, without anyone else noticing. We three knew the table was already going to be taken by some teenager boys, since it was the usual spot they stole. Hisui sighed, still wondering why we broke up as the boys sat in their table. Darkness innocently slid out and apologized to the boys, keeping her promise to not smile. Those teens instantly tried to hit on her. I suppressed my urging temptation to steal her from them, showing off that I was the boyfriend, but I recalled I was no more to her than an ex, friend, and partner. I almost lost it when the boys stared at her breasts and ass, but the girls from last time interrupted it.

Sakura POV

It's seriously annoying; when I realize I'm still in love with Aoi and he goes off flirting with some girls! Geez, even I didn't flirt with the guys from the table I slid under.

"Jealous?" I heard a couple talk.

"N-no I'm not!"

She may say that, but she is and so am I. I'm jealous and irritated that this idiot is my ex-boyfriend and has thoughts similar to mine, but doesn't realize I'm envious of the girls he's flirting with, even if it's all fake and an act.

I stood up and was heading to the restroom, yet paused and agreed when Hisui asked to go with me.

"It is alright to leave them like that?" Hisui questioned. "He's going back to his devil-like act again."

"It's fine, besides I'm not his girl anymore," I replied, not willing to expose any signs of weakness. "He can seduce and play with any girl he wants."

"Are you sure?"

"Do I look unsure?"

"Why'd you dump him?"

"Why are you certain I did it and not him?"

"He was too much in love with you to. At that point-"

"No. He wasn't."

"I see. You misunderstood and dumped him."

"I didn't. He was the one who misunderstood; misunderstood sister love and romantic love."

"How can you be so sure of it?"

"From my experience of brother love and romantic love. I know the difference. He doesn't."

"All I see is you insecurely trying not to get hurt again. You broke up in short amount of times, so you're scared of doing it again with Aoi and not having the chance to make amends with him. If you were to blame it on the sister love, then you two can remain together as friends forever."

"Ha. Maybe... Maybe I did something terrible again."

Hisui was right. Too right in fact. I keep my fear of being hurt hidden, where I can't find it and blame my actions on something else. It's stupid. I'm stupid. All this time, it was my fault. Aoi didn't do anything wrong. It wasn't his selfish need for family love. It was my selfish want to avoid pain. I learned another thing that will help me in hating myself more than I already do.

"It's no surprise, you still love him," Hisui patted my head. "I bet you'd say you have to focus more on the war than love, but try to balance it out."

"Am I that predictable?" I sighed.

"Of course you are; once a person understands your personality that is."

"And my personality?"

"Independent, you're not willing to ask anyone for help, unless if it's part of your plan."

"Go on."

"Competitive, never backing from a fight and letting yourself lose in the battle."

"That one is on point."

"Confused."

"That's not a trait."

"It is for you. You can't understand your feelings well."

"And that's very true. What's also true is we're taking too long for only going to the restroom."

We walked back and Hisui blamed it on me for flirting with hot boys, as revenge for not telling the truth of being jealous at first. I did flirt with them only a little as we walked back to the table, but for the lie, Hisui said I kept on flirting with them for a long time.

"Well, gee I'm sorry for having some fun," I tagged along. "They were pretty rip though."

"And five years older than you." Hisui added.

"And since when did you like to flirt with hot older men?" Aoi raised his eyebrow, indicating he was suspicious.

"When a guy named Aoi first told me he's fine with playing with kids," I replied, thinking back from the first time we met.

Aoi pretended to be a bad boy to get information off of me and I played hard to get to do the same thing as him. Ah, it was the good times back then.

"He was older than me by four years and hot," I continued to make my point. "When did you think I liked to flirt with older hot guys?"

We ended the café appointment and together teleported to the council gathering. The council meetings about the war were in our own separate group, the group called Hell's Devil Blossoms. At first, there wasn't enough members in this group, but after I joined, we reached the minimum amount of member required, so we thought up of a name. At that point, I haven't met Aoi yet, who has the nickname of Devil's son, but he was a major part of our unit, so Devil was put in the name. Likewise, I was a large role, so blossoms (From the name Sakura: Japanese Cherry Blossoms) was added in. Then the other people like King Moriyama and Michiko were known to be able to create hell and destruction, so here it was, Hell's Devil Blossoms. Although some seen it to be cheesy, we placed lots of consideration in the name, our representation of the group.

Our group wasn't like most. There was also a limit to how many could join. Although we were all powerful, other groups disliked our style of justice and we're leftovers. Now the rules of limiting of groups is gone, so our group is really big. Similar to my Kurosaki clan system, the groups debate to gain control over each other and have one group in the lead. Mine became the lead. That's when I got the right to order which groups get what roles. I remembered back to when I ordered everyone.

"Team Blooddops and Roosevelt Thrones goes to recuse any living people in the war zone, led by Ezra, Seikei, Mizuki, Kaori, Suzuki, and Akemi. The battles in those areas haven't stopped yet. Nightfall, Blade, and Knight's health teams go along with team Eclipse; Health teams follow under Kaito, Ko, Maki, and Miyako. Sapphire and Ravens groups investigates with Goro, Sara, Rika, Mio, Miko, Lucy, Wendy, and call over Hibiki for anything that may be slightly related to the war at all, including this death," I ordered. "Team Crows, Light, and Serpents will join in to stop the battles, possibly by killing the leader of the clash in making the battle cease, directed by Naoko, Aya, Erika, Ami, Ryutaro, and Kai. Kuu will join Love Heart and Crystals group for other world related matters and Shibuya, Naru, Hana, Yamada, Machi, and Takeshi. Hisui, Gray, Hoshino, Setsu, Sora, Yaku, Yoko and onii-chan will join in multiple groups when necessary, otherwise are stand-ins; replacements. The council and I will do all that we need for the rest of the part and go planning."

I named allot of the members in my group, but kept out the main members out of the naming, because we're the main council doing the rest of the work and leading. The groups have their system of ordering too. They have leaders and the leaders of the leaders. I'm a leader of leaders and so is Aoi, King Moriyama, and Hisui. We four have equal authority over our team and other teams.

The other team and mine have our disputes, even though we're in command. They don't value fairness and the happiness of citizens. We do and we'll do our best to end this war in peace!

Chapter 17: Rebel Runaways

Aoi POV

I'm still pissed off from when Darkness broke up with me. She loved me, just as much I did for her, but she didn't understand that fact. She doesn't know even ever since then, I still loved her, but what about her feelings? Her feelings change fast. Gray- that ice mage has a good chance.

There's another good chance I'm dead meat, if Darkness figures out my secret. She trusts me, so it should be fine. I know it will be fine, but I feel guilt in my heart. Keeping it from her like this... I don't want to do it, but I have to. Even if I love, there's things I need to do. I have to finish it. It's the wrong thing to do, what Sakura would despise, even so, it has to be done. Sacrifices must be made for the rest to be saved. The rest has to be saved. I'm sorry, Darkness. I'm really sorry. If I could say it to her face, then there might just be a little more peace in the raging war of my heart.

Sakura POV

My heart is in disturbance. What if, I can't trust anyone? War is war. You can never trust anyone and the person you trust most, is only going to turn their back on you. Aoi... the person I trust most. I wonder, I wonder if I can really trust him. Whenever I could trust him, or not was resolved the next two days.

Reader's POV

"Geez, so much work to do!" a member complained. "Can I take a break? We've been doing this since I woke up! It's the noon already!"

"Shut up. You were chosen to help with the paperwork, so deal with it," Sakura bluntly glared. "Don't you think we also hate doing this?"

"Stop picking fights Darkness. Take a small break," Aoi reassured the girl. "We can't put too much work on her."

"Putting too much work? She' complaining for going through two hours of work, even though she's the so called pro. Hell, I don't remember sleeping last night from doing work."

"Somebody's on her period," another member giggled.

"I would usually get pissed off, but you were funny, so I'll let you off," Sakura's mood brighten. She pulled out a bottle of coffee and threw it over him. "Your reward."

"I reject," he smirked. "I'd rather get some coffee with you after this."

"Oh, why not?" Sakura caught the coffee he tossed back. "I'll save this for tomorrow then."

Aoi POV

There's something with Darkness and her loving to flirt and have flings. That's how our relationship began; with a fling. That part of her makes me jealous. If she were to have another one of her flings become a relationship, I wouldn't have guts to ruin it and her happiness. I want to make her jealous. If I go out with the girl from before, then I might achieve it.

Sakura POV

Aoi loves flings and flirting with girls. By the way the bitch, who complained from 'working' so much gazed at him, when she finished her break, I knew he'd begin another one. And another fling is with an irritating girl, who doesn't put effort in her work.

"Meet me after work!" the girl hugged his arm. "Anywhere you want to go?"

"Let's go to a café, as a double date tomorrow," Aoi suggested, glancing at my way. "Won't you go, Darkness?"

"The girl don't annoy me and actually does work, then fine, but I swear I won't hold back if she a bitch," I stuck out my tongue. "Yasuo, you in?"

"You in, then I'm in, baby~," Yasuo, my date winked.

"Better finish your work on time~," I pressured the bitch.

"You sure hate her," Aoi whispered into my ear. "I kind of too."

"She the only thing she does is complains. Why'd you agree to go out with 'that'?"

"She's sexy," Aoi gestured her features.

"Oh, hell. I'm sexier," I licked my lips.

"Jealous?" Aoi smirked.

"Just setting the facts straight. After all, I am fabulous," I joked. "Yasuo's pretty hot too."

"Oh, really. Comparing him to me, he's nothin'."

"Tsk. Tsk. Don't ever underestimate the enemy."

"I'm only doing the same as you."

"Aoi! Help me with this," the bitch pulled him away from me, intentionally.

"Somebody gonna die," Yasuo handed me the paperwork. "That glare is gonna kill someone."

"That's how I look at people, bastard," I jokingly slapped his shoulder, peeking at my phone. "Hell, I'm going to the office for different matters. Aoi, you come too. It's urgent, they say."

"I'll teleport you."

He was the main key to the answer and he knew "he couldn't have died at a worse time," Sunny sighed. "Mio, a 17 year old rich kid. Mio, known to be gullible, he came from the noble family of Hashimoto."

"Geez, if it weren't for that, we'd be finished by now," Sakura threw the dart. "The culprit is silencing every clue we have."

"What happened this time?" Aoi walked in. "Is there another-"

"No, someone didn't steal my food and then I hunt them down personally again," Sakura interrupted. "We know one of the noble families are kidnapping the heirs of other rich families one by one, but we don't know who sent the assassin. Mio, the kid who got silenced, would've been helpful to us, since he could be a decoy. Mio wasn't kidnapped. He was the only one we have evidence that died."

"The heir disappearances?"

"Yep, and if all of the heirs die-"

"The economy would go in hell."

"Something we can't have happen, especially with the south war going on."

"Who're the list of suspects?"

"The Yamazaki, Satou, Abe, and Ishikawa families," Sunny read off from his mental list. "I doubt any of them would work together, considering the factors."

"So it could be anyone of them," Aoi began calculating.

"Although, I don't think it's anyone of them," Sakura handed over her calculations sheet. "Really, I can't see what benefit those families would get from kidnapping the heir. Those suspects are working with the companies and will lose a big amount of money, if the other companies die off."

"What company would benefit from any of this?" Hisui questioned. "It would be the Sugiyama."

"No, they're careful people," Sakura shook her head. "They wouldn't risk something like this, if it attracts the attention of the council."

"Only an idiot, or powerful group would do that," Sunny concluded. "I have a list-"

"That won't be needed," Aoi smirked.

"I'm sure the last line you said gave us enough information we need," Sakura grinned. "Only an idiot or powerful group would do that. Who thinks they're powerful, but aren't a match to the council, meaning they have power, but not enough experience to know what the council is?"

"I don't get it," Sunny glared. "What're you two up to?"

"Let's begin the operation!" Aoi and Sakura ran out of the door. "Case closed!"

"They are really something," Hisui blankly walked away. "Both of them have the same mind."

"Nothing is ever good in their mind," Sunny continued his paperwork. "Case is closed now. Only one can hope they won't kill someone."

Reader POV

"Man, I hate it!" Sakurada complained, wearing a nice, yet itchy dress. "Just how strict are my parents?"

"Wanna join us, girl?" a person Sakurada recognized to be Yori tapped her shoulder, friendly-like. "We all are rebel runaways, the Gang RR. I'm Yori."

"Gang RR? Um... hello. I'm Sakurada," Sakurada questioned. "I- I never rebelled before. Um... I don't think I should do-"

"She's cute," Shizue hit Sakurada on the head with a bat. "But she's such an angel child, not rebelling. How stupid of her."

"Really, it's such a shame," Yori grinned. "Carry her to the base. Master can do whatever he wants with her then."

"If only she joined, then none of this would've happen."

Shizue POV

I carried the light girl to the underground base, the same way I did with the traitor Mio. She'll be gone after this too.

Yori POV

Gang RR has to be kept a secret from the council. If anyone is a traitor, they'll have to go. They don't know about us, even though we've been running for one and a half week. For a short time, we succeed in getting numbers of members.

Masanori POV

Yori and Shizue brought in another traitor today.

"She's beautiful," I praised them. "Good work. Chain her up. I'm save her as a treat to rape, then you can kill her however you please."

Aoi POV

"I'm sorry, but you can't do that," Sakurada, or who's actually Sakura elbowed Shizue and Yori down. "The council is here."

"So you heirs of the rich families became rebel runaways, thus the disappearances," I slipped into the scene. "Killing heirs that wouldn't rebel and runaway to join your gang, Gang RR."

"That-"

"And causing enough trouble to cause a possible economy downfall, in which making the top leaders of the council stepping in," Sakura ripped the dress off. "And making me wear this damn itchy dress!"

"Sakura..." I began. "Don't kill-"

"Everyone has their own opinions," she continued. "Just because you don't agree with them, doesn't give you the right to kill them. You're parent forced allot on you. I understand that."

"No you don't!" Masanori attempted to attack Sakura. "None of you do!"

"I'm a damn princess! Like hell I don't understand. Now you listen to me. You can rebel as much as you like, but never run away from your problems and kill those that don't agree with you! A life is worth allot. Killing them can't solve any of your problems, right?"

"So with that, please surrender yourself," I bowed.

He did what I asked him to, willingly. Sakura calmed down, falling asleep in the couch inside the office. She hates killing, but if it's necessary, she'll go ahead and kill them easily.

"It's been a while since you broke up with her," Hisui sat down. "Why?"

"It was only a fling," I replied.

"It didn't seem so," Hisui got up to walk out, leaving me alone with Sakura. "Was it only a fling?"

Sakura grabbed my arm, hugging it tightly.

"Mmm... Aoi," she sleep talked. "Aoi..."

"Darkness," I kissed her cheek. "I'm right here."

"Aoi... love you..."

"I will always love you too, Darkness."

"Always love... Aoi."

Those words warmed my heart. I still have a chance with her. I'm going to take it.
