Chapter 3 - First Act
Las Vegas
One Year Later~~~~
"Merritt McKinney, Daniel Atlas, Pammela White, Henley Reeves, Jack Wilder. Arthur Tressler and the MGM Grand proudly presents: The Five Horsemen."
I Jump when we apear in the middle of the stage, I was using a black dress till my things, a blue jacket and a glove the same color, I put blue snekears. My hair was in a bun on the side, put my make-up and put the necklace that Danny have gave for my birthday.
I grinned at the cheering crowd around us, Danny wa at my side and the others around the stage. "Thank you! Tonight we would like to try something that will, well, set us a bit apart." Merritt explained to the crowd as the Horsemen walked the stage.
"For our final trick, we're gonna do something never before seen on a Las Vegas stage." Henley added.
"Or any stage for that matter." Jack mentioned.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" I shouted.
"Tonight, we are going to rob a bank." I and Danny said together, smiling at the cheering crowd. We were on the risen circle stage together. Jack, Henley, and Merritt were on the main part of the stage, walking around at the crowds of people. The monitors on the top of the arena showed their pictures and the video they had to make for their show.
"That's a lot of excitement for a crime." Danny stated.
"I'm getting excited? What about you, people?" I asked, the cheering got louder than ever. I smirked at Danny as we circled the stage together. I laughed when she saw Merritt and Jack high-five with a jump.
"Okay, okay. Now, please, please settle down." Danny said into his mic, getting the crowd to settle down. I placed her arm on Daniel's shoulder. "Now who here has a bank they would like us to rob?" Danny asked.
The hands went into air, wanting to be picked to rob their bank. I winkedat Danny, seeing how many wanted their banks robbed.
"That's a lot of people with a vendetta." Danny said.
"Not surprising, if I was one of the people there I wolud have my hand up too. What are we gonna do, Danny?" I asked.
"So we'll just choose one at random then." Danny explained, smiling at me.
"I think it'll work." I said jumping.
"Our associates will make sure it's random, right?" Danny asked.
"Yes, Merrit, Jack and Henley." I said. Danny just gave me a smile as Henley, Jack, and Merritt chose someone at random for the section, row, and seat numbers.
"In Jack's bowl are ping-pong balls with section numbers. Jack, could you hand me a section number?" Danny asked. Jack tossed the ping-pong ball, Danny let it bounce once. "Thank you."
"So what section it's, Danny?" I smirked, gaining a laugh from the audience.
"Well, we are looking at Section B. Where is Section B?" Danny asked. The section cheered and some stood up so the we could see the section. I lot of people .
" Merritt, row please!" I called out to him.
"I don't know why everybody's happy."Danny said "It's just a bank....rober."
"We're robbing a bank, Danny. Who wouldn't be happy about that? I woul be verry happy about that." I asked as Danny caught the bouncing ping-pong ball.
"So, we are looking at row number 5!" Danny grinned. " You are rigth, Pam."
The row cheered, getting my attention. "There you are! Get ready, we have one last number!"
"And Henley, could I please have a random seat number?" Henley tossed the ball; but I cougth in my hand, making Danny look at me.
"Oh. Lucky number 13!" I said. Happy tossing the ball to Danny.
"Also my lucky number." He said.
"Doesn't matter. So we have B-5-13, don't we?" I asked.
"You are correct, B-5-13, where are you?" Danny asked. The spotlight went straight to the row and seat they needed.
"Sir, please, stand up." The man stood up for them. "Ah, there you are. Hi. Could you just confirm for us that this is, in fact, your seat? B-5-13." Danny asked, holding up the ping-pong balls. There was a camera on him, making sure everyone saw those were the numbers.
"Yes."
"Okay. Wonderful." I took a step to Danny, as hetossed the ping-pong balls away from the stage.
"Now," Danny stopped for a moment when the crowd laughed at his sudden movement. "Could you please tell us your name and the name of your bank." Danny asked.
"Well, my name is Etienne Forcier. And my bank, it's, uh, Crédit Républicain de Paris." Etienne said into the microphone.
"Oh." Daniel and I exchanged looks. "French. Okay...uh, we were hoping for something a little more local, a kind of mom-and-pop credit union with no security. But that's fine. A promise is a promise." Danny explained.
"This will be very interesting. Could you please come up to the stage and we'll rob your bank. Jack and Merrit will help you. Rigth guys?" I asked.
"Of course, Pam." Jack and Merrit said, as them went off the stage to help Etienne to the stage. Merrit doing his thing, hipnose.
"And while he does that, um, there is someone here tonight without whom we would just be five magicians working the circuit, trying to get...well, actually trying to get here." Danny explained as Henley walked onto the circle stage where Daniel and I were.
"You all probably know this man – well, at least you know his name. He is our friend, our benefactor, and our biggest fan. Mr. Arthur Tressler." I smiled as Danny motioned to Arthur who was in the audience with his wife.
"Please, stand up, Art. Please stand up."
"The only man here with the Queen's cell phone number." Merritt said with a smile. The crowd laughed and clapped for their benefactor.
"Actually, please stay standing Art. Um, I want to say that when we came to Mr. Tressler, we promised that, as a unit, we could become the biggest name in magic." Danny said.
"So we wanted to say, 'thank you.' And by the ay, Art, you notice on the sign out front, we made sure we put your name on top." Henley smiled at their benefactor.
"Will be really big." I said, standing at Danny.
"If you turn out to be as good as you think you are, my dears, that won't be necessary much longer." Arthur told the us. Henley gave me a smirk.
"Well, Arthur, we haven't done our closer yet. Why don't you just watch and see for yourself." I smiled in his direction. "Ladies and gentlemen, Arthur Tressler!" Me and Dannysaid, motioned my hand to Arthur.
"Thank you. And, of course, once again, the Cardinal of Clairvoyance, Merritt McKinney," Danny reintroduced Merritt to everyone.
"Etienne, what Jack is bringing to the stage now, is what we in the magic world call a teleportation helmet." Merritt explained as Jack circled the stage with the helmet held high. "You will need to wear this, as it will allow you to literally fold through space and time to your bank in the...8th?" Etienne motioned his head once. "9th arrondissement."
"Yeah." He said.
"Now, uh, once you are there, we will be able to speak with you through this helmet. Now if, ah!" Jack placed the helmet on Etienne's head. .
"It has the added attraction of being very stylish. It's about time the French learned from America on that subject." Merritt joked. The audience laughed.
"Is that a beautiful piece of headgear? It is." The audience cheered and clapped for us and Etienne.
"But before you go anywhere, could you please pick a card, any card." Daniel asked, walking over to Etienne as Henley, Jack, and I met up on the stage. "Not that card." The audience laughed. "No, that's an old American joke. You can take that one." Daniel said.
"This one?"
"Now, show it to your friends in Section B, but-but not to us." Danny moved away from Etienne, we moved around the stage, blocking their sight from the card that was being shown to the group in Section B. "Okay, great. Now if you could just sign you name then." Daniel handed him a pen to sign his name.
"Yes."
"In English, if possible." I said joking, making Danny laugth.
"That's good."
"Thanks."
I leaned into Daniel, "That was lame joke Pam." He whispered. I just shook my head.
"Put it in your pocket."
"And now for one tiny detail." Henley stated looking at me, the two of us pull out a piece of cloth from our pockets. The cloth swirled around, revealing the transportation machine they'd be using. The boys clapped for their illusionist that we made.
"Give it up for Henley Reeves and Pammela White, everyone!" Danny said, walking over to the me.
"Now, Etienne, let's step into this cockamamie contraption. And I'll step off of it. Bonne chance." Merritt stated. I grabbed the button to make Etienne transport, walking over near Henley. "It's 11:50 PM here in Vegas. That's 8:50 AM in Paris." Merritt explained to the audience as Danny and Jack pulled down the sheet that connected to the bottom of the machine.
"Your bank opens in less than 10 minutes."
"One."
"Two."
"Three." I slammed the palm of her hand on the red button. The transportation machine suddenly clammed together. We all gasped, moving away from the machine, I move closer to Danny. The audience gasped, wondering what the fuck just happened.
"Holy shit!" Jack said.
"Wow. Etienne?" Danny ask.
"Etienne?" I asked.
"It wasn't supposed to happen like that, was it?" Merritt asked "I liked that little French guy. Where'd he go?" Merritt asked.
"Danny, Danny, look!" I point to the screen.
"Look, there he is." Daniel pointed to the projection screen. The crowd started to cheer – seeing their trick was beginning to work. Danny waved his hands to make the audience quiet down for a few minutes. Daniel needed to think clearly.
"This is Daniel Atlas, can you hear me?" Danny asked Etienne. "Etienne? Are you okay?"
"Yes."
"Perfect. What do you see in there?" Danny asked as Etienne approached the Euros.
"Money. Is this real?" He asked, surprised.
"Yes, looks like three million or so Euros' worth. Okay, now, here's what we're gonna need you to do. I want you to take the card that you signed out of your pocket. And I want you to take the ticket stub from tonight's show and I want you to put it right there in the middle of the money." Daniel explained to the Frenchman. He did what Danny wanted.
I just watched as Etienne dropped the signed card and ticket stub in the middle of the money.
"Now, on the side of your helmet you should feel a button. Don't press it just yet. That button activates the air duct that connects Paris to Las Vegas." I explained. Etienne found the button on the side of the helmet, giving the Horsemen a thumbs up. "Okay, good. Now you can press it." Me and Danny said.
"Etienne, you might wanna hold onto something." Jack said "There might feel a bit of a vacuum." Jack mentioned as Merritt chuckled. Etienne pressed the button, making the money fly into the air vent. We waited, they knew the exact time to listen for the money.
"Hey guys, hear that?" I asked, listening carefully to the rumbling.
"I do."
"So do I."
The money started to fall from the air vents, flying around the audience members. We watched the money fall, we did the trick! I so happy! I grinned, jumping onto Danny. We laughed as he spun us around.
"We did it!" Danny said, making me blush and hide my head in his neck, making him laugth.
"Two more to do, bud." I grinned at him, taking his hand and running onto the smaller circle stage.
"Thank you, Etienne. Thank you, everyone!" I aid.
"We are the Five Horsemen!" We shouted over the cheers and excitement, throwing their fists into the air.
"And goodnight!" I said, bowing with her friends.
We left the stage smiling. Now, more two acts to go, and we'll get it.
