Casey walked down the nighttime streets of Gotham. She just wanted some quiet time. She was in a white blouse, jeans, and flats. She sighed, It was a quiet night so she thought no one was going to be out, she thought wrong.

She heard footsteps from behind her. She thought it was a stray dog so she didn't turn.

She suddenly felt a tap on her shoulder. She suddenly felt a tap on her shoulder.

Batman stood there.

"Oh it's just you, " she sighed a breath of relief with a smile. He smiled a little, but it quickly disappeared. "I'm sorry was I in your way?" Casey asked.

He shook his head. "Ok? Then what?"

"Are you the Daughter of Dan Jamoue?" Batman asked.

"Yes, I am, he was the best dad I could ever ask for, " Casey smiled.

"Aren't you ashamed of what he used to do?"

"Ashamed? He saved me."

"From who?"

"My ex-Mother, she sold me to him and he raised me like his own." He looked shocked. "he told me when I was older that the reason he was even looking to buy a child was that he could save them from a horrible childhood."

Batman looked down, thinking how even criminals can have kind hearts.

"his partner was about to do the same when she found raised my best friend."

Batman nodded, he finally looked up and smiled.

Casey smiled, "I should be getting home I've got to start working tomorrow. I got commissioned to do art, If I play my cards right, my friend and I won't have to worry about money for a little bit. Just enough time for me to pick up a job."

"I know you'll do amazing."

"I hope I do, " Casey nodded before starting home, "I hope maybe we can talk again sometime!" She called out.

He nodded, Casey ran back towards home, practically glowing.

Once she got there, she was greeted by
silence. "Glerys?" she called out.

Silence. Casey walked to the kitchen, figuring that Glerys may be stuffing her face again, but nothing. She looked around and saw a note that read:

'I accidentally broke some plates... again... I'm out getting some things, don't worry about me I'll be fine.

Ps. If you mess with the cookies that are on the counter, I'll mess with your breathing :3'

"Well might as well start painting, " Casey breathed out before going to her makeshift art studio and trying to find a homemade canvas she could use.

About 15 minutes later she finally found it and got ready to paint.

It started simple, just blocking in the colors before she started adding details.

She smiled a little as she worked, thinking about how it'll look when it's done. The painting grew into a sunset over a forest.

Casey took a step back to admire her work. It wasn't the best but it was still pretty good.

She smiled a little. She put her signature in the corner along with the date. She to the kitchen to get a drink and let the paint dry, which would take hours.

So, she decided to cook something. It was her brownies, she put some chocolate over the stove to melt as she made the batter.

She softly hummed her favorite song. It was quiet inside the house so she started singing a little.

She finished the song and turned around to see Glerys standing there with a massive grin spread across her face.

"Ok!" Glerys panicked.

"I'm trying something new so don't touch them."

"Ok," Glerys smiled, hiding her phone in her back pocket. Casey didn't notice as she stirred the chocolate.

A smirk appeared on Glerys face as she quietly made her way behind Casey, quickly getting some chocolate on her fingers and licking it off. Casey sighed as she rolled her eyes.

Glerys got chocolate on her fingers again before jumping back to dodge a spoon slap from Casey.

"Glerys!" Casey yelled with annoyance. Glerys laughed and ran away.

-time skip-

Casey walked out of the house, heading to Gotham. She was just out for a walk, she had a camera with her if she found something she wanted to paint.

She looked around, Many people were on the streets which caused anxiety to bubble up inside her like a pot of boiling water.

She started walking a bit slower, not daring to look up. That is until someone bumped into her. "Hey watch where you're walking bitch- oh you're cute."

Casey looked up, A man stood there, he looked like he could easily overpower Casey before she could get to a shadow.

"S-sorry," Casey whispered before trying to walk past him.

"Dollface where do you think you're going?" The man smirked as he grabbed her arm.

Casey froze. "Please let go, " Casey said scared half to death. She almost screamed as she felt an arm around her waist.

"I suggest that you leave my girl alone, " A gruff voice said, glaring at the man.

Casey's head snapped towards the voice. "oh thank goodness, " She breathed out when she saw it was Bruce.

Bruce smiled at her while The man smirked, "oh really."

Bruce's head snapped towards the man, "You're doubting it?"

"yes, yes I am."

"I don't care what you think, let her go now," Bruce growled out.

"So you wouldn't care what I thought about her? Would you care about my actions if I did this?" The man questioned before ripping Casey from Bruce's grasp and doing something no one in their right mind would do.

The man proceeded to crash his lips onto Casey's. Casey squeaked as she used her free arm to push the man away from her.

The man smirked as Bruce growled after his moment of shock. In a blink of an eye, Bruce was standing in front of the man. Casey was pushed to the ground with a thud, she looked up as Bruce punched the man right in the jaw.

The man stumbled back, almost losing his balance and falling down. Bruce balled his hands into fists as the man ran off.

He turned around to look at Casey. She looked scared as she curled into a ball.

Bruce bent down and gently placed a hand on her shoulder, "hey, it's ok," He said in a calm, soft voice.

She was shaking, "P-please tell me he's gone."

"He is," Bruce smiled, "guess he's not as tough as he thinks he is," He chuckled.

Casey was shaking, "H-he."

"Hey don't think about it."

She looked up as Bruce was smiling kindly at her. She gave him a soft smile, but he could still see the fear in her eyes.

"How about we go and get ice cream together?" Bruce suggested.

"T-that'd be nice."

Bruce stood up and held out his hand for Casey to take. Casey took it and stood up.

She flashed a smile at him before they both walked to the ice cream store while talking. They were both too happy to realize the cameraman who had taken a picture of them for the gossip column of the news.

They walked into the ice cream shop and made their orders. Bruce got chocolate and Casey got vanilla.

They handed them their ice creams and they sat down at a table near a window. They spent a long time talking, making jokes and laughing. Casey checked her time on her phone and saw that it was already getting late.

"I should get home, " she sighed.

"Let me walk you home to make sure you make it safely."

"You don't have to, " Casey smiled.

"But I want to," He stood up.

"There's no stopping you is there?"

"You got that right," He smiled.

"ok fine you can walk me home, " Casey laughed.

Bruce smiled widely, "lead the way."

Casey nodded as she started walking towards home. They talked along the way. It wasn't until they got to the door that they stopped.

Casey looked back at Bruce. "Thank you, " she smiled.

"No problem."

"No really, if you hadn't intervened. I don't know what might have happened. Is there anything I can do to repay you?"

Bruce smiled, he opened his mouth to speak but dear little, adorable, troublemaker, will eat a whole pan of cookies, oso, opened the door.

"Oh am I interrupting something? Oh wait, I don't care. Casey get in," Glerys said, stepping aside so that Casey could walk inside, she was glaring at Bruce the entire time.

"I'm older than you, " Casey pointed out.

"That is not the point," Glerys shot Casey a warning glare.

"Oso, " Casey said in a warning tone.

"Get. The. Fuck. In," Glerys tried to keep her anger under control. Before Casey could protest she was pushed inside the house.

"How does this keep happening?" Casey questioned.

Glerys turned to Bruce with a heated glare. Bruce gave her a confused look. "Stay away before things get bloody, is all I'm going to say," Glerys growled out.

"Oso would you stop threatening him?" Casey said before smiling as she turned to Bruce, "I hope to see you again, under better terms I hope."

"If I don't rip his throat open first," Glerys mumbled.

"Night, Bruce, " Casey rolled her eyes as she closed the door.

"Night," Bruce called out before walking away. Casey sighed. Glerys watched Bruce walk away. If looks could kill, Bruce would've been dead by now.

"Oso what's gotten into you?" Casey questioned.

"I don't like him."

"What don't you like?"

"That he'll hurt you, that he's getting close to you. Next thing you know you both get married and I'm left alone again," Her hands balled up into fists at the thought.

"you won't be alone."

"Yes I will," She sighed sadly, "I don't want you near him."

"I won't ever leave you, " Casey smiled.

"That's what he told me, but he still left me," She punched the wall before walking to her room.

Casey sighed, "Oso, I promise, " Casey said as she walked over to Glerys' door.

"Promises get broken!" Glerys shouted from inside her room.

"Ok, then I swear on my life and every dog that I will never leave you! Shall I sign a blood pact?!"

"Girl don't do that."

"I will! Now, lemme go find out how!"

"I will put this house on lockdown if you try," Glerys rolled her eyes. Casey went silent, clear sign she was reading something. Glerys' door flew opened. She grabbed what Casey was reading before slamming the door shut again.

"Ha! Jokes on you I finished reading it! Now, where is the paper?"

Glerys' door flew opened once again. She injected Casey with something, making Casey sleepy. Casey's legs gave out as she passed out.

"Not today bitch," Glerys picked Casey up and brought her to her room.

The injection mark was clear so Glerys grabbed a bandage and placed it on Casey's neck. She sighed and trucked off to her room.

She decided to train in somewhere quiet in Gotham, then get something to eat for Casey to say sorry. She changed before heading to Gotham.

She walked for a while before finding a quiet and isolated place. Training was the easy part for her, Now trying to not shovel cookies in her mouth when she got home was the tough part.

She got pulled out a knife to practice her aim. Though she didn't anticipate a living being to walk by.

She threw the knife at a wooden wall, almost hitting a man accidentally.

The man jumped out of the way with fright. "Sorry!" Glerys called out.

The man's head shot towards Glerys' direction. She ran over to him, checking for any wounds. She gently grabbed his face, moving his head around a little to check more.

"you almost killed me, " The guy told her.

"I'm sorry!" She frowned, "But you're ok, right?"

"Yeah, " the guy whispered before his eyes widened, "You're a villain, shouldn't you be trying to kill me?"

"Nah, I don't kill unless it's self-defense," Glerys said with a shrug before pulling the knife out of the wall and putting it back in her pocket, "I'm really sorry for almost killing you, I didn't mean to, I was just training."

"It's ok, I'm Dick."

"Glerys," She smiled.

Dick nodded, "So what do you do? As a villain I mean."

"Rob since I don't have a real job."

"what do you steal?"

"Just things my best friend and I can't really afford."

"wow, " Dick breathed out. Glerys titled her head in confusion. "I really hadn't thought of Villains in that light."

"I don't blame you," She shrugged, "still not all of them are nice. Just because I was raised to be a villain doesn't mean I really like it," She sighed, pushing her curly locks away from her face.

"You don't have to be one."

"I know but others will still see me as one even if I try to do some good," She sighed, pulling out some knives and throwing it at the same wooden wall, slowing forming something.

"You don't have to be one."

"I know but others will still see me as one even if I try to do some good," She sighed, pulling out some knives and throwing it at the same wooden wall, slowing forming something.

"Try, you can leave this in the past."

She shrugged, "it's not as easy as you think," She threw a few more knives and created a perfect heart on the wall.

"what do you mean?"

"If we stop stealing we might as well starve since we don't have jobs yet. I'm clumsy as hell so that means a lot of stuff breaking. And no one would want to hire a criminals daughter."

"new last names?"

She shrugged, then she realized something, "why are you still here and not running away to get the police? Wait, are you just getting enough time so they can capture me?"

"no, I just, find you interesting."

"Why?" Glerys tilted her head. Dick shrugged his shoulders with a smile.

Glerys smiled a little before walking to over to the wooden wall, pulling out all the knives except for the ones at the top that she couldn't reach. She went on her tippy toes but still couldn't reach. She jumped as high as she could but still couldn't reach. She groaned in frustration and glared at the knives as if they'd fall with the glare she's giving them. Dick grabbed her knives for her.

She blushed in embarrassment and ripped the knives out of his hands, "you never saw me struggling to get those knives, got it?"

"Got it."

"Good!" She put the knives away, remembering she had to get food for Casey to apologize. "I have to go, " she sighed.

Dick nodded and smiled at her. "I hope to see you again."

Glerys nodded and smiled brightly at him before walking away, still smiling. Dick smiled as he watched her leave.
