Delaney Darnell
"Please Welcome Darnell, Delaney."
"Delany."
With a long sigh, the man glared at me, I couldn't tell if he was annoyed that I outspoke or rather, that I was going against his very culture. "Delaney." he agreed upon.
With a nod, I glance at my classmates. Before walking toward the back, sitting behind a boy with red and white hair.
"No wonder she has no sense of respect, she cheated her way to the top."
A blonde boy voiced rather loudly, annoyingly, my head practically throbbed at his tone.
"Bakugou. What did I say about interruptions?"
After a lecture from the sensei, the blonde boy shut up, thankfully.
By the end of class, students surrounded my desk, I grabbed my bag, stood up, and pushed past them and their endless questions.
"Hi! I'm Uraraka, What's your name? I like your hair!"
"What's your quirk?"
"I don't see any noticeable features of a quirk..Could it be some type of mind control.. I haven't noticed if you've used it yet but-"
God these kids won't shut up.
"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" A voice snapped pushing me back as I dared to walk out the door.
Looking up I notice the annoying blonde boy from before.
"Move."
"You don't come here, strolling your way to the top and ordering everyone around. Definitely not me."
Looking up to the taller boy I squint "I'm not interested in knowing who you are, now move."
"Bakugou! That's no way of talking to a girl. Definitely not one that's as hot as this one."
Another blonde boy interrupted, he had a lightning mark in his hair. I could only guess his quirk had something to do with lightning or even electricity.
Seeing Bakugou distracted by the lightning boy, I slid through the doorway and walked toward my locker.
"Why did you tell Aizawa to refer you as your first name?"
I flinched at the voice that came from a boy I hadn't noticed, who'd followed me out of the classroom. Looking toward the boy my eyes focused on his hair, he was the boy I sat behind.
"Who?" I questioned
"Our teacher, Aizawa."
"Oh." I paused before letting out a huff "I'd rather people just call me by my first name."
"You're not from around here, are you?" He asked, but as I stared up to the boy I saw no malice. more so just intrigue.
"No, America. Obviously." I stated.
"Yet you speak perfect Japanese. And you don't resemble any American I've met. Are you parents from here?"
"Yes." I hissed shutting the locker door rapidly. I never meant to act cruel, but I didn't see why it would do any benefit to befriending my classmates. I came here to gain a reputation, and resources.
"Do questions of your parents make you uncomfortable?"
"Very, now will you stop?"
"You can always walk away." He motioned to the busy hallway and did not move to stop me.
But I didn't want to, not when he reminded me so much of you.
Turning back to face him I let out a huff "You know my name, so tell me yours." I asked, which came out to sound more like a demand. I'll admit.
"Todoroki, Shoto."
Todoroki.
"As in Enji Todoroki?"
"Yes." This time I heard him hiss.
"Do questions of you're father make you uncomfortable?" I spoke slyly.
"I don't quite understand you, Darnell." He spoke, and I could see a small smile on his lips.
"Let's keep it that way, Todoroki."
