Bonus #1: Bill Sees Percy's Scars

Previously:
Ron stared at me. He seemed calmed down now that he'd heard more of my backstory. "I'm almost afraid to see them," he said.

"They're not that bad," I protested weakly.

"Bill walked in on your scars," Arthur stated.

"Ok, it might have been that bad," I said a lot quieter, turning red from the looks they were giving me.

"Scars?" Bill asked.

"It would be easier to just give you the memories," Penny said before I could even attempt at an explanation.

I breathed in deep, looking over the large pond I found by the Burrow. It's been a while since I've been in any kind of water.

In the weeks I've left camp and joined the already vast Weasley family, I have already exposed my secret to the twins three times (because of their pranks), Ron once, and Ginny twice. My secret obviously being that I'm American, and in the case of the twins, someone who carries a sword 24/7. And that's not even mentioning how I've been building my new persona as Perceval Weasley; employee of Mr Bartimus Crouch; and someone who has spent the past 16 years with Fred and George Weasley, 14 years with Ronald, and 13 with Ginerva.

I need to make myself as unsentimental as possible to as to avoid conversations of the past years I was supposed to have been there for. I don't need to really worry about Charlie or William (Bill) because they've gone and moved out already. Eventually that will be a problem but I'love burn that bridge when I get there. Which should be in the next day or so because both Bill and Charlie are coming back to go with everyone to the World Quidditch Match.

I am going to be in a world of trouble when they get here. It's a good thing Hecate taught me that spell to save memories in jars until the time comes to finally tell them I've been posing as a brother they never had until this year...this is really messed up.

In doing all that, I hadn't had a chance for a relaxing swim. Any other time I have, I'm training. so this was going to be great. I won't have this chance again until school starts for Ron, Ginny and their friends.

Looking at the cool water, I felt a wave of excitement wash over me. I yanked my shirt off and prepared to jump in by backing up a ways. I started running as fast as I could right at the pond. Just as I jumped, I heard, "What are you doing?"

I let out an undignified yelp as I hit the water, flailing around my arms uselessly. My heart racing, I looked around the pond after poking my head above the water. I hoped none of my new brothers or sister were the ones to have said that. Fortunately, it was just a nymph.

She was lounging on the side, watching me with wide eyes. Her hair melded with the water around us and she had a green-blue tint to her skin.

"Swimming," I answered. "What does it look like?"

"No one ever swims here." She said. "Except the one other red head boy years ago."

My brow rose on its own accord. "Do you know his name." I asked.

She shook her head. "He would only ever talk about plans he had for after Hogwarts. Whatever that is."

"Did he talk to you?" I asked, my brow furrowed now. I didn't realize the wizards had been aware of any nymphs or nature spirits.

She resolved my confusion by shaking her head again. "He never saw me. I guess this was where he went to think."

I nodded thoughtfully. That made mores sense. With the amount of people living in that house, there was a high possibility that whoever it was just went here to get away from everyone. "What did he talk about?" I asked. Maybe I can figure out who she saw regularly.

"He seemed to be talking to someone called Fabian and Gideon a lot. I guessed they had died at some point." She tapped her finger on her chin thoughtfully. "Then he talked about a crypt for a while before he never came back."

"Crypt?" I repeated, slightly confused. Then it dawned on me. "Did he mention Egypt at all?"

She smiled now. "Yes, I remember that word."

I smiled. "Bill." Of course she wouldn't know about Egypt. It doesn't seem like she traveled much.

We sat and talked some more, she showed me around her pond home. At one point, I told her I was really Percy Jackson and showed her my real appearance. Somehow, word of me hadn't gotten to her yet but she did know who Poseidon was so she knew about demigods. It was late when I decided to finally head back. Molly knew I needed to get away so she shouldn't be worrying too much but it's almost dinner and I was hungry.

"Bye, Nadia!" I said. "I'll try visiting but no promises."

She only waved with a serene smile. She was used to being alone. I'd found out she's been here for many generations of Weasleys and Bill hadn't been the only one to come and get away.

Now out of the water, I looked around in the growing darkness for the shirt I discarded before my swim. I was wishing I'd brought my wand for light when a sudden flood of light suddenly blinded me.

"Percy?"

Styx. That was the voice of someone I definitely didn't recognize. But they knew my name so it had to have been someone Percy Weasley knew. I tried seeing through the light at the person who supposedly knew me. I had a hand up, blocking the light as if I were driving during that dreaded time of the day where the sun blinds you.

From what I could make of what little I saw of the person who caught me, and based on the pictures that Molly insisted she show me, he looked like Bill.

"Hello, Bill." I said, turning around to continue looking for my shirt.

"Who were you talking to?" He asked. He held the light up higher to look around the area better. "And where did you get those?"

"No one." I answered. "Get what?"

"-Those-" he pointed with the hand that wasn't holding his wand at my chest.

I looked down and realized what he was looking at. I hadn't yet made the switch back to my Percy Weasley looks. My stomach dropped. Bill hadn't even been here for a whole day and I already messed up. And I don't have the jars or my wand on me so now I need to convince him to come back to the house with me to wipe his memory.

Great.

Bill walked as fast as he could quietly in the creaky house he grew up in. The family was gathering in the kitchen for dinner before they would be heading to bed and Percy wasn't there. If he made it known to enough people in the family where he was going, there would be a crowd going to look for the missing brother. He knew it had been a while since the little Percy he remembered before moving to Egypt for his job at Gringotts so he was glad to see that some things just don't change. Percy would always get too deep in his homework and need someone to run upstairs to remind him to eat every now and then.

However, while Molly did tell Bill that Percy just left the house to get some air and gather this thoughts after a hard day's work at the Ministry, he thought that Percy should have been back by now.

Having made it outside, Bill squinted his eyes so as to see through the dimming light. Seeing some movement in the distance, he started heading that way.

"Percy?" He called.

Something ran through the bushes behind him. It startled him so much, he pulled out his wand.

As he continued in the direction he thought Percy was, he saw he was unconsciously heading in the direction of the pond he used to frequent when he was home. Did Percy find it calming too?

He heard a voice coming from the very spot that he always went to sit. Then some rustling in the bushes, as if Percy were moving things aside to look for something.

Bill lit his wand up, having enough of the growing darkness. "Percy?"

There stood his younger brother without a shirt, hand over his eyes to block out most of the light. He didn't have any glasses on, and the more he looked, he noted that he looked much different than he remembered.

"Who were you talking to?" Bill asked just as Percy turned around to continue looking for what he assumed to be a shirt. The question was suddenly unimportant when he saw what covered his brother's back. "And where did you get those?"

"No one," Percy answered casually. "Get what?"

"-Those-" Bill pointed at his chest, which he noticed was also littered with scars, though not as heavily as his back.

Percy looked down at his chest, seemed to realize something, and dropped his shoulders. Lifting his head again, but avoiding eye contact, he shifted on his feet. "I don't suppose you would sneak back to the house with me and let me erase your memories of this?"

Bill narrowed his eyes and shook his head. "What happened?"

Percy let out a sigh, dropped his head in his hands and sat down on the closest rock. "It's a long story."

The older Weasley only took a moment to decide whether or not to sit next to his brother. But as he thought about it more, he realized the only thing his brother and this man had in common was that he answered to the name of Percy, and had a similar build. Was this really the brother he'd come to know?

"Please keep an open mind about this, it's going to sound insane." Percy started, still avoiding eye contact. "And trust me, you're going to want to call aurors on me."

Bill hesitated. "Ok." He finally said.

And so Percy told him everything. Some place called Camp Half-Blood. Lady Magic, Dumbledore and his parents. The prophecy. Hiding from his former family in a new family. The Greek gods. Everything. He even told a few stories that went along with some of the scars.

It was hard to believe at first. When he made the connection that the Percy Weasley he'd known before never existed, he wanted to jump up and start throwing hexes. But he held it in and did his best to hear him out. And he's glad he did. As he explained about his life more, he realized that having Percy Jackson around as Percy Weasley was going to be extremely helpful and could keep his family more safe than if he weren't here. And as he searched his feelings after Percy finished telling his story, he saw that it hadn't even changed how he thought about him.

He was still his younger brother that needed help remembering to take care of himself.

"Besides, it's not the first monster I've had to take care of while being here."

"WHAT?"

Bill chuckled as his little brother bolted out of the headmaster's office. "It's alright, Mum, he knows what he's doing."

"Why do you say that?" Ginny asked.

"He wields a bloody sword that's why." George said. He and Fred seemed to be in awe now that they have their memories. "He nearly decapitated us!"

"WHAT?"

"Hmm?" George glanced at Molly, who was wide eyed and almost panicking. "Exaggeration, dear mum, don't worry."

"Yeah," Fred said. "Nothing major, we were just pranking him and he happened to pull out his sword on reflex."

Bill put his hand up to cover his mouth as the twins tried to diminish what Bill knew perfectly well was a near death experience. Percy had told him that the first time before they wiped his memories.

"It's fine, Mum, that's how he saved us at the Quidditch World Cup." Ron added almost unhelpfully.

"Dear, Merlin," Molly said, fanning her face. The Weasleys and Penny other than Molly all hid snickers.

Shout out to @Alzenia466 , @asmolpidgeon , and @AgentPuggles for the little comment thread they had earlier in the story that gave me the idea! I hope you were satisfied.
