A WEEK AGO:

~ Rhian ~

Ear splitting roars and screeches filled the atmosphere, causing me to close my eyes and clutch Gemini's arms with a firm grip. I relaxed my head upon his shoulder, allowing some parts of his soft curly hair perch on my face.

I slowly opened my eyes again, averting my gaze towards Ashley and Yolanda whose eyes were glued upon the television, because they somehow managed to enjoy the gory movie without being frightened.

"You don't seem to be enjoying the movie", Gemini's soft voice brushed into my ear.

I sighed.

"I'm definitely not enjoying it...I can't stand horror movies like this one, cus I'm not a fan of demons or curses", I sounded irked.

"They seem to be enjoying it", he said, gesturing at Ashley and Yolanda.

"Isn't it weird?", I whispered.

"Maybe, maybe not", he shrugged, planting a kiss on my forehead.

My eyes flinched immediately the glinting lights came on, soon after the movie ended. I exhaled deeply, letting Gemini off my grip before getting up from the sofa.

"Okay, it's lunch time!", I announced with a smile.

"Who's ready for pizza?"

"Oooh pizza", chorused Yo and Ashley.

"Hurry up and serve", said Ashley.

She beamed at me, brushing a few curls of her red hair off her face. I frowned a bit, hurrying to the kitchen to get the pizza for everyone.

As I reached out for the box which laid upon the marble kitchen unit, I felt someone's hand wrap around my waist, pulling me closer from behind. I knew who it was, so I let go of the box and leaned even more backwards until my head was resting on the person's chest.

"Why don't we have a special treat tonight, right after eating lunch with those losers behind us? ", he requested.

I took a deep breath.

"Gem, we just started dating last month and we've agreed on this before...ju--"

He interrupted me.

"Just give you time, got it"

I smiled as he let go of me and walked away, because he didn't know what I already planned for him.

"Okay, guys...let the feast begin!", I blared.

I opened the pizza box, allowing everyone to grab a slice even before I could place it upon the glass table.

Flinging my gaze towards Yolanda as I threw myself on the sofa, I asked:
"So...Yo, what's up with you and your rich boyfriend?"

"Mmm...yeah, you guys broken up yet?", Ashley cut in.

A smile crept on my face as I watched Yolanda take a large bite off her pizza, stuffing her mouth enough to ignore the fact that we were teasing her.

Turning to me, Ashley asked, "What about you Rhi?"

I flung my almost confused gaze to Gem who remained silent the whole time. Poor thing, he must've felt sad because I turned him down.

"We're still a thing and we're not quitting anytime soon", I reassured while I intertwined my fingers with his.

"Well...", Yolanda voiced, fiddling with the tips of her long black hair.

"I broke up with Dorian last week, and now I'm into another different guy, who doesn't attend our school", she beamed.

Ashley rolled her eyes and scoffed.

"Well, I'm not ready to be in any sort of relationship for now...but I'm always here to murder anyone who tries to break any one of your sulky hearts"

She beamed her usual 'tough' smile at us before gorging up the last bite of pizza which she was holding.

"You know, guys...it's a good thing our parents finally allowed us to live together", Gem said.

"Yeah, I mean...look at us, besties for life ", Yolanda beamed.

My heart was welled up with joy as I fixed my gaze upon the losers in front of me because we were finally bonding, even after meeting each other in the weirdest ways.

"So... who's up for another terrifying horror movie? ", Ashley requested.

I groaned.

"Which one exactly? We've seen all of them a thousand times", complained Yolanda.

I sighed immediately I noticed a smirk crawl upon Ashley's face.

"Guys, I think I'll call it a night...", Gem abruptly said.

"Okay, good night ", chorused everyone except me.

I was stabbed by Yolanda's frowning gaze;
"What's up with him?...first, he was quiet the whole night and now he's gone to bed early?"

I rubbed my forehead for a second;

"I'll check up on him"

The lights suddenly went off soon after the television came on.  I turned to Ashley who was now leaning upon Yolanda's shoulder with the remote in her hand, giving her my usual 'you're annoying' stare.

Loud whooshing sounds echoed from the television, followed by terrified screams and screeches. I gulped as my gaze met with the words which boldy appeared on the television screen in red:

"The Hexing Hour"

Thud!

The door came shut after I darted into the room where Gem laid asleep. I was unable to continue watching the movie with Ash and Yo because of how horrifying it was...so, I decided to change into my nightdress and catch some sleep. It was a good thing that I didn't sleep alone, but shared a room with Gem.

Our room wasn't that huge, but it was comfy enough for the both of us. Its walls were glazed in white, a color which suited the chessboard patterned curtains and tiles; it was well furnished with a small black sofa, an exquisite wooden closet and a damn cozy bed.

While staring at the wooden-framed mirror, I pulled my hair into a rough bun. A smile crept onto my face as I glared at the reflection of Gem who was fast asleep on his own part our gigantic bed.

I walked over to the lamp which radiated the warm golden light, switching it off before crashing upon the bed. There was a line of demarcation between us, made with a few colorful pillows just to keep things 'normal' between us.

Laying on my side, I took away the red pillow which hindered me from seeing Gem's face. My eyes became locked upon his handsome face for a few seconds, allowing myself to admire all his flawless facial features. His perfectly carved brows,  pointed nose and extremely kissable lips.

My fingers trembled a bit as I reached out and slowly began to caress his face, but then I stopped because I didn't want to wake him up. I inhaled his beautiful scent, gently running my fingers through his ginger hair to admire its smooth curls. But then, I stopped...again.

He exhaled, causing me to swiftly shut my eyes in pretense. Just then, I felt his warm fingers gently caress my face for a few seconds;

"Why'd you stop?...I know you're not asleep"

His voice sounded cold.

My heart thrummed and I felt my stomach twitch a bit as I peeled my eyes open. His deep blue eyes became locked upon mine for a short period of time. Then he reached out for my jaw, pulling me close until our lips met.

"How about I give you that treat right now?", I whispered with a smile.

"I thought you'd never ask", he beamed.

He sprang up from his lying position and towered over me. I laid still, allowing him to undo the buttons on my slik shirt before ravaging my lips with several hot kisses. He paused, also letting me grab his shirt to rip it in two.

I began running my fingers through his bare body, taking more of his scent but abruptly halted immediately I felt something strange on his nape. It was dark, so I couldn't see what it was; but I could feel it's shape as I traced my fingers over it and it felt like...a crescent.

A gasp escaped my mouth as he also came to a halt and gently grabbed my hand, holding it away from his nape.

"Don't touch it", he instructed.

"Why?...What's it? ", I asked with a frown while peering at him.

He sighed, shifting himself from me.

"It's a demon possession mark", he said.

I shuddered.

"What do you mean? "

"I was once possessed my a demon named Astaroth, and that's it's possession mark"
