Traitors And Promises...

(A/N: Some of the more sensitive ones among you may cry...or not. Anyway, this chapter will contain A LOT of feels! 😉)

Ssundee's POV

I whipped round as I heard a great clattering noise of something running down the stairs. Then I heard him call my name. "SSUNDEE!" "D-D-Derp?" "Ssundee!" "DERP!" He crashed into me as I laughed remembering how clumsy he was. "Ssundee..." I smiled. "I missed you so much Derp." "Missed you too." He pulled away and I saw his crooked eyes sparkling with joy. "Notch wouldn't tell me when I would see you again, and with the war approaching, I thought I would miss the opportunity..." Despite my intentions of staying strong, I found tears brimming on my eyelids. Thank god they were hidden behind my shades. "I thought you were dead after that last battle..." I saw Derp also had a small tear tracing its way down his face. So much had happened since I'd last seen him. And I thought that that would never happen again. "Did anyone hurt you?" Derp bit his lip and looked down. "Some of the squids...they-" I pulled him to his feet. "I promise they won't hurt you again." "Thankyou Ssundee."

Ty's POV (Ha, bet you didn't see THAT coming!)

As I knelt behind the door I stroked the bloody rim of my axe for comfort. After all this time, Herobrine finally returns. It seems everyone has excepted him. But not me. I'm gonna show the world the monster he really is. I breathed silently, barely stirring the hair hanging over my face; if I betrayed my position now, they'd probably kill me for what I knew. I smiled as I heard Herobrine and Steve arguing. The alliances were already falling apart. Then I heard about the 'great darkness' coming to Minecraftia. Oops, perhaps you should've of said that Notch. I knew where to go for support now. Then I gasped inwardly as Notch gave Herobrine the Essence. He gave that TRAITOR the very soul of Minecraftia?! My heart beat sped up as I heard Steve get up and begin to walk to the door. I sprang up from my crouch and flew at him, placing the axe to his neck and putting a hand over his mouth. He whimpered quietly. "Now then Steve-" I hissed. "let's talk about your BROTHER shall we?..."

Derp's POV (I'm being so evil with these changes of POV's, lol)

I sat up suddenly. I heard something. "What is it Derp?" "Shh." I closed my eyes and tried to pinpoint where the sounds were coming from. Outside of Notch's study. I sprang up and began to run. "Derp!" I heard Ssundee's footfalls behind me as I skidded through the shiny corridors. Then I halted suddenly, my crooked eyes open wide. "What the-" In front of me Steve was pressed up against a stone wall while a head-phoned man in a white T-Shirt had a bloody axe pressed against his exposed neck, demanding to know information about Herobrine. "Hey! Back off!" The man whipped round to face me, eyes widening at the sight of my crazed features. "Whoa big guy, step back!" I narrowed my eyes. I felt Ssundee's arm press against me gently. It was an inconspicuous move, yet it was also a warning not to go any further. I gritted my teeth. I hated people who judged me by the way I looked before they knew me. Ssundee knew that though; he wouldn't of given me a warning unless he thought it was too dangerous. I gave a brief nod. Then we both snapped into action. I grabbed Steve while Ssundee was occupying the other guy; I could hear someone crashing through a door and turned just in time to see a flash of white and blue before I hit the ground. I squinted up at the figure above me. He was dressed like Steve, in fact was identical, apart from his eyes; a blinding white, glowing a silver sheen. "Deadlox! You traitor!" 'Deadlox' staggered to his feet. "Oh, I'm the the traitor am I?!" "Yes." "I know your plan, you're just waiting till we turn our backs...even for a minute! Then you'll strike!" He yelled, spittle flying. Herobrine snarled, claws sliding out of his hands. "Even after all that's happened...you STILL think I want this?!" My heart beat an erratic tattoo; it was all happening too fast! Deadlox smirked evilly. "Well...who else is there? I mean...you ARE a monster after all." I could hear every heartbeat in my chest as the world seemed to slow down. I saw Herobrine's eyes cloud over with a reddish tinge as he gave a great roar that shook the entire castle. Deadlox gasped, knowing he'd gone too far. Herobrine launched himself at Deadlox, I saw Ssundee holding Steve back as he screamed for his brother to stop. Then Notch appeared suddenly, pushing Herobrine sideways. I watched, spellbound, as the two brothers fought. I saw Ssundee couldn't hold Steve back for much longer and got up to help him. As we stood there, both watching the brothers fight Deadlox stood, astonished at what he'd done, I felt a feeling in my chest stir that I hadn't felt since I'd lost Ssundee. Fear. If this was to become of us, holding eachother back away from battles while we fought an unknown enemy, then I didn't want to be a part of this war. But I knew, deep down, that I wouldn't have a choice. Besides, Ssundee had promised to protect me...and he kept his promises.

Herobrine's POV

As my vision slowly cleared, I saw myself poised seconds away from tearing Notch's throat out. I gasped in shock, sheathing my claws. "I-I'm so sorry..." "No, it wasn't your fault." I turned to see Sky holding Ty against the stone wall, growling something menacing into his ear. It must've been something bad as Deadlox blanched; breathing rapidly. I shut my eyes as Notch pulled away from me and I heard footsteps getting closer till I felt warm arms wrap around me and long strands of hair tickling my ear. "I'm so sorry Hero." I opened my eyes slowly and met Emily's sparkling blue ones. "I should've been here to help you." I took a deep breath. "I'm glad you weren't." "Why?" I looked down. "I'm a monster. I nearly killed Notch." She gasped. "If you don't want to be with me anymore Emily...I understand." "How can you say that?!" I looked up, puzzled. "What?" "You're not a monster Herobrine. We'll get through this...I promise." I leant into her, breathing shakily. How much longer could I keep this up for?...

THE NEXT DAY

After breakfast we headed back out to the field where we had spawned. "Well...I guess this is goodbye then." Notch put his hands on my shoulders. "Not forever brother. I'm sure soon we will have to unite to defeat the darkness." I nodded solemnly. "Farewell brother." I turned to Steve. This would be the hardest goodbye. "Farewell." We embraced. I heard my friends muttering behind me as I pulled away. Sky had taken off his medallion and given it to Notch. I could tell he felt naked without it. "Don't worry, you'll find it when you return." Sky nodded shakily. Blaze shook Notch's hand. Likewise for Ssundee and Sky. Then Derp came forward. "Stay safe Derp." "You too Notch." I saw Ssundee smile out of the corner of my eye. It was obvious these two were unseperable. Suddenly we jumped as a guard ran towards us. "DEADLOX HAS ESCAPED!" We all gasped. "What?!" "Guess you'll have to look out for him too." "Yes, he's obsessed with reclaiming Emily as his own." "Well...good luck." "You too." Then Sky's amulet flashed and I felt my legs fall out from beneath me as we were sucked back into our own dimension...
