Emily's POV

Herobrine and I were waiting by the lake for Sky and Blaze; we'd arranged to meet them on the south shore of the lake. "Where are they?" He shrugged. 'Dunno." Then we heard a rustling noise and someone stepped out of the woods to the left of us. "Hello." Herobrine growled. "You're kidding me." "What?" The guy looked up, he had bright blue eyes and was dressed like Herobrine, with the same floppy brown hair and the same aura of power about him. This guy wasn't human. "Hello." To my surprise Herobrine launched himself at the man, sword out, snarling menacingly. The guy narrowed his eyes and smiled coldly. Sidestepping he drew an iron sword and whipped it trough the air, grazing Hero's face as he crashed past. "Argh!" "So nice to see you again, my optically challenged sibling." I gasped. This was Herobrine's brother?! "Well, you were ever the charmer, eh Steve?" Hero replied, his voice positively dripping with sarcasm. "Shut up!" They rushed at each other, eyes full of hate and fury. "NO! STOP!" I ran towards them, but it was too late. The red haze had descended upon them both, and I was powerless to do anything but watch them tear themselves apart...unless...I turned round and sprinted towards the village. It broke my heart to leave Hero behind, but I had an idea.

Herobrine's POV

How dare he return here and insult me! Didn't he think I had suffered enough already?! It was his fault this had happened! My heart thumped in my chest as my sword hit his flesh. He cried out and drove his through my leg. I staggered backwards, gasping for breath. I squinted through the red haze, trying to think rationally through the pain. He was coming back, and fast. I swung my sword up to intercept his, and kicked him in the stomach with my good leg. He doubled over, fighting for breath as I pushed him to the ground. The cut on my face throbbed as the blood thickened and oozed out of my leg. Steve was scared. There was fear in his blue eyes as he stared up at me. "Why would you return now? After all these years?" I hissed. "To find you..." He said through teeth gritted with pain. Out of habit, I let a low growl escape my throat as claws slashed out of my hands. "Well, looks like you found me alright." Then my vision was clouded with crimson mist as my body swung downwards.

Steve's POV

~NOW! While he's distracted.~ I kicked his legs out from underneath him and he went down. I dragged myself out of the way as he hit the ground. Then, his head jerked upward and I glimpsed his eyes. The coldness in them was unmistakeable. Stark, blank iris'. But they were tinged with red. I leapt to my feet as he flung his sword at me. It hit me in the chest and I fell back down to the ground, blood gushing out of the wound. ~He'll kill me...he's not thinking straight, he's not himself!~ I thought. Then I heard a crash to my left and saw out of the corner of my eye 3 people barge into Herobrine. One was the girl who I'd seen earlier, and the other two were male and female. I saw the mist fade from my brothers' eyes as the girl spoke to him in hushed tones. He stared down at me in shock, horrified at what he'd done. Backing away, his white eyes were wide with anguish as he turned and ran into the woods. My vision flickered as my numerous hearts went down. Blood seeped into the ground around me as black spots danced before my eyes, growing bigger till they filled my vision and the world disappeared into the darkness...
