(Readers POV)

Dave jumped at me and swung his trident at me. I dodged the swing. I looked back and the force from the swing destroyed several fallen trees. I looked back at Dave and his trident is a centimeter away from my face. I dashed behind him.

Alexandra: That was close. Are you trying to show off?

(Y/N): No, I just had to make sure I got out of the way.

Dave: Stop running! Face me like a man!

I quickly shot a blast at Dave. He was sent back a couple feet. He tried to get close to me, but I shot another blast at him. He powered through that one and slashed at me. I blocked the slash with my arms. I took in a deep breath and I tried to punch Dave in his gut, but he caught my fist.

Dave: I got you!

He head butted my face, knocking me back a little. I jumped up into the air, but Dave shot a bunch of his dark blue flames at me. I put my arms up to block the attack, but the flames still hurt like hell.

Dave: Burn to dust!

I released some energy, blowing the fire away. I landed on the ground and saw Dave shooting fire, ice, and electricity all around the area.

Dave: Growth! I'm going to make sure you suffer!

Growth: Yikes. He really needs to take what people call a "Chill Pill".

I saw as Dave's elements surrounded me. I took another deep breath and remembered Top and her rain trial. I started to attack around me, getting rid of any attack that might hit me. I also started to dash forward too, trying to get as close to Dave as possible.

Growth: Those moves...

After getting close enough to Dave, I knees him in the stomach. He gasped for air. I jumped behind him and tried to kick him in the back of the neck. He grabbed my foot and slammed me down to the ground, making a large crater.

Dave: Any last words?!

He stabbed his trident at my head. I moved my head and it only scrapped my cheek, getting rid of my energy there and making blood start to spill.

(Y/N): Dave! You have to snap out of it!

I quickly got up and punched him in the face. He was sent flying back, but he stopped himself by stabbing his trident into the ground.

Dave: It's not my fault... It's not! I'll make sure nothing like that ever happens again! Since that's what a king does!

He raised his hand and started to use all three elements in one attack. He pointed his hand at me and a huge blast of his fire, ice, and electricity coming right at me. I quickly made a blast of my own. My red blast clashed with his.

Dave: TAKE THIS!!!

His blast started to overpower mine. I started to struggle. I don't think my body fully recovered from using this form when I fought Dave back at school.

(Y/N): Alexandra!

Alexandra: You need something?

(Y/N): Give me more energy!

Alexandra: How did you figure out that I could do that?

Alexandra quickly put her hand on my shoulder and I felt a lot of energy fill my body. My blast went at least three times bigger and pushed all the way to Dave. He tried to stop it with his hands, but it quickly overpowered him. I quickly had to stop my blast because of all the power I was using. I saw Dave fall down to one knee and using his trident to help himself up.

Alexandra: Be careful. That kid could easily get up and continue fighting.

I took a step forward. Orange fire started to come out of Dave's eyes and he started to scream as a pillar of orange fire went up into the sky. What is he doing? Dave would never make a protective shield with fire, it's usually his ice. Dave eventually stopped using his fire, breathing heavily.

(Y/N): Crap, I need to stop using this form.

I stopped using my Power, the red energy surrounding my body vanished. I saw Growth slowly walking over to me and Dave.

Growth: Such a great performance to watch from both of you. I'd expect nothing less from the children of the two strongest Heroes.

He lifted his hand at me and Dave, a green orb of energy came from his hand as he got ready to shoot it. I felt the ground start to shake.

Growth: Who else is here?

I saw a blur dash past me and Dave. It went past Growth, destroying the energy in his hand. My eyes went slightly wide when I saw who it was.

(Dave's POV)

I looked around, still only seeing darkness. I can see two Growths now. What in the hell is going on? I saw a different figure behind one of the Growths. The figure slashed at the Growth with green energy in his hand, destroying it. The darkness around me disappeared and I can see the forest again. I smiled to myself and saw who was behind Growth.

Dave: ...Mother...

Growth: Ah, Top. I see Davidson used that fire as a signal for you to come save him.

I saw mother quickly dashed over to me and got in front of me.

Top: Thank you Dave for showing me where this bastard is.

She looked over at (Y/N) and pointed her trident at him.

Top: Get out of here! Go help Darkness and Chemist!

(Y/N): R-Right, Top! I won't let you down!

A small red aura surrounded him and he jumped away. Mother turned back to face Growth.

Growth: It really has been a long time, hasn't it Top?

Top: Enough of the formalities. As far as I'm concerned, I don't know who you are.

Growth: Heh... And after all we've been through.

Dave: Mother... You know this guy as well?

Growth: Oh your mother knows a lot of people.

Top: You shut your damn mouth!

Growth: By all means, make me.

(Readers POV)

I was running towards the direction I remembered Katie going with Mr. Black and Chemist. I thought back to what happened during my fight with Dave.

(Y/N): How did I know Alexandra could give me more energy?

It's like I said it instinctively or something. I tried to clear my mind and forget about it. It's not that big of a deal. I heard some nearby footsteps. I stopped and looked over and I saw someone behind some trees.

(Y/N): Hey! Katie is that you?!

I quickly ran over to behind the tree and I saw Growth's daughter, Ashley. She looked over at me and jumped in surprise.

Ashley: I-It's you again!

I stopped using my Power.

(Y/N): Yeah, it is. What are you doing here?

Ashley: My father told me that I should meet up here with him, but he hasn't showed up yet. It's kinda scary being here alone. Can you keep me company?

I have to be careful here. This this girl is anything like Growth, then one wrong move and I'm done for.

(Y/N): Uh, sure.

I sat down on the ground and took in a huge breath. Ashley sat down next to me.

Ashley: Do you remember my name?

(Y/N): Yeah, you're Ashley.

Ashley: Correct. And you are (Y/N). I'm glad that you remembered me.

Crap, I just remembered that I'm supposed to be finding Mr. Black and Chemist. Well, Katie is with them and I have complete faith that she'll do fine helping them.

Ashley: Why are you tired?

(Y/N): Oh... Just exercising. Training to become a Hero.

Ashley: That's good to hear... You know, I wanted to be a Hero at some point.

(Y/N): You did? Well why don't you want to be one anymore?

Ashley: ...My father says that soon, there won't be a point to having Heroes. So he shut down those dreams of mine.

(Y/N): Oh. I'm sorry to hear that.

I looked over at Ashley and put my hand on her shoulder. She looked at me for a moment before looking down at the ground.

Ashley: But there is another reason. Many years ago, I was getting picked on by some bullies because they said I had the Power of a villain. But this kid jumped in front of me and helped me. He didn't even have his Power yet, but he stilled helped me. We became great friends after that, but after a year or so my father took me away from that boy and my dreams of being a Hero.

(Y/N): Wait. You said some kids were picking on you because of your Power?

Ashley: Yeah. That's one of the reasons why my father wants to change the world.

(Y/N): ...So what is your Power?

Ashley: It's Blood Control.

I felt my heart stop for a moment when I heard that. Everything clicked at that moment. This is the same Ashley I've met all those years ago. I gently grabbed the red scarf around her neck.

Ashley: Let go of-

(Y/N): You still kept it, after all this time.

Ashley stayed silent as she looked at me. Tears formed in the corners of her eyes. She quickly wrapped her arms around me tightly and rested her head on my chest.

Ashley: It's really you... I can't believe you were closer than I thought.

I wrapped my arms around her back and held her close.

(Y/N): Yeah, it really has been awhile huh?

After what felt like ages, we broke the hug. We both stood up, looking at each other in awkward silence.

(Y/N): Well, some people are in need of my help.

Ashley: Oh, then let me come! Having two people will always be better than one!

(Y/N): Alright. Let's get going then. Times 10!

I activated my Power and picked Ashley up. I started to run again, trying to find Katie and my teachers. After about a minute, I found the three near a small pond. Chemist and Katie are putting some kind of paste on to Mr. Black's arms, or where is arms used to be.

Chemist: There. This paste might sting for a bit, but it will numb your wounds and keep the blood inside.

Fox: ...Thank you... Chemist and Katie.

I put Ashley down on her feet and I ran over to them, deactivating my Power. They looked over and saw me. Katie stood up and ran at me, tackling me into a hug. I caught her and spun her around once.

Katie: (Y/N)! You're alive! Where's Dave?

(Y/N): It's nothing to worry about. Top is there with him.

Fox: So he's safe too... Good.

Me and Katie stopped hugging as Ashley slowly walked over to us. Chemist pointed at her.

Chemist: Who's the new girl? I don't recognize her from the school.

(Y/N): Everyone, this is Ashley. She's an old friend of mine.
