(Super's POV)

I looked back at my son when I heard him say the word Growth. I felt many emotions fill my brain and body, none of them being pleasant.

Super: Where did you hear that?

(Y/N): Mom? Is something wrong?

Super: Wrong...?

My fists clenched tightly by themselves. Memories came back to me when I think about Growth.

(Flashback)

I got out of Hero School. I'm so close to graduating and it's making me really excited that I'm about to make my dream come true.

Super: My body can't contain my excitement!

I felt two people grab my shoulders. I looked back and saw my two friends, Aria and Kia.

Super: What's up Aria and Kia?

Aria: I told you a thousand times to call me by my Hero name!

Super: Right. Sorry about that, Top.

Kia: Don't apologize to her. You should call her by her actual name, just to piss her off.

Aria got mad and punched Kia on his arm, making him punch her back. I saw Herculean appear behind the two and moved them apart, stopping any fight that was about to start.

Herculean: Man, I can't leave you three alone for a moment, can I?

Super: Hey Herculean!

Kia: What do you want dad?

Herculean: I want you three to follow me. You will get to see me stop some criminals. You will need to know how to take evildoers down effectively, so you all watching me should help with that.

Herculean picked me, Aria, and Kia. He jumped up into the air and flew over to a huge part of the city. He landed on a street and put everyone down.

Herculean: Now make sure to watch.

(Nighttime)

Herculean just got done stopping another criminal. I looked up at the night sky and it started to rain.

Herculean: Ok kids, it's getting late. Let's get you three back home-

He was interrupted by a fist punching him in the face. He got sent across the road.

Super, Aria, and Kia: Herculean!

I saw a group of three men, who are all dressed up in red cloaks, run up to Herculean. He jumped back towards me, Aria, and Kia.

Herculean: You three need to get out of here.

Aria: What? Why?

Herculean: These guys are bad news.

Assassin 1: Herculean. It's an honor to meet you, but sadly it must be on the battlefield.

Assassin 2: We just got paid big time to take your head.

Assassin 3: ...

Herculean: You three will listen to me. You need to get out of here. Those guys are big trouble and I don't want to see you get hurt.

Kia: Dad, I can't just leave you here.

Herculean just smiled and grabbed Kia, knocking him out and throwing him far away. Herculean also knocked out and threw Aria away.

Herculean: Listen. You may not have your Power yet, but please keep your head up. I just know you have the potential to becoming the best Hero this world has ever seen.

Herculean picked me up and threw me away as well. I landed a few streets away, next to Aria and Kia. They're unconscious. The rain started to fall faster.

Super: Crap! I need to find some Heroes nearby so they can help Herculean!

I picked up Aria and Kia and started to run, trying to find any Hero that can help. I couldn't find anyone. I tripped and fell down to the ground, making me drop Aria and Kia.

Super: Forget this. I'm going to help him myself!

I quickly got up and turned around, running to where Herculean is. I saw him fighting against the three men.

Super: Leave him alone!

Everyone looked over at me running at them.

Herculean: Get out of here! Don't make me say it again!

One of the red cloaked men dashed at me and slammed me down to the road.

Assassin 1: Listen girl. You got guts, coming back to save someone. That's a good quality for a Hero.

I tried to get him off of me. I kicked at him, but they didn't do much.

Assassin 1: Stop it. You won't be able to save Herculean. He dies here and tonight.

He threw me at Herculean, making me crash into him. We both got knocked down to the ground. I looked up and saw a huge blade flying towards me. Herculean pushed me aside as the blade pierced his chest and went through his back.

Super: Herculean!

Assassin 2: We're done here.

The three men disappeared. Herculean dropped to the ground. I ran over to him and put my hand on his chest, feeling his heartbeat slowing down.

Super: It's going to be ok! I can get you some help!

I picked Herculean up and started to walk down the street. His blood dropping down stained some of my clothes.

Herculean: Please... Stop.

I slipped from the water on the street and fell down, dropping Herculean.

Super: I can't stop! You need help!

Tears are pouring down my face, but it's hard to tell since the rain is covering them. Herculean grabbed my arm. He looked at me and he put a small smile on his face.

Herculean: It's fine... You, Aria, and Kia are safe... There's no more need to fight...

Super: B-But you're about to-

Herculean: If fate wants me to fall here, then I won't fight it. Please. Become the best Hero you can be. I just know... You can do it... Tell Aria and Kia that... Become... Super...

Herculean stopped breathing. I tried to feel his pulse, but it's not there. My body started to shake.

Super: N-No... NOOOO!!!

I started to scream as loud as I can. After a while, I stopped my screaming. I sniffed and wiped the tears from my face. I heard some footsteps getting closer. I looked over and saw Kia walking over to me.

Kia: Dad?

He ran up to Herculean's body and shook him, trying to wake him up. I put my hand on Kia's shoulder, signaling him to stop.

Super: He's gone...

Kia looked down at the ground and punched it in frustration. I saw a small ball of light come out of Herculean's body. Me and Kia watched it as it swirled around me before entering my body.

Super: What was that...?

Kia: I can tell... That was dad's Power.

Kia got mad and pushed me down.

Kia: Why? Why were you given my dad's blessing?! Why would he pick you over me?!

Super: Kia... What are you talking about?

Kia: With that Power, you'll become the Number One Hero. That was supposed to be my place in this world! It is my birth right! I'll be honest with you, I never really liked you. You wanted to be a Hero without having a Power. You were just dead weight to everyone around you, but you still kept going! It was like you were spitting in my face! But dad still kept you around!

Super: Kia... You don't mean those things, right?

Kia: Don't call me by that name anymore!

A ball of green energy formed in his hand and he tried to slam it down onto me. I quickly punched it away, making Kia stumble back. I'm way stronger than I was before.

Kia: You really did steal my dad's Power.

He got up and started to walk away.

Kia: I'll never go by that name again. I will go by the name of my Power, Growth. If we ever cross paths again, then I won't hesitate to take back what's rightfully mine.

He ran off. I was about to get up and run after him, but I saw several people running towards me.

Police Officer: I found them!

(Flashback End)

I walked up to my son and put my hands on his shoulders, grabbing them tightly.

Super: I won't ask you again. Where did you hear that name?

(Y/N): Isabelle told me.

Super: Ok. Thanks for telling me.

I was about to walk out of the room, but my son stopped me.

(Y/N): Don't do anything reckless.

Super: You know that won't be a guarantee. You have my blood after all.

I walked out of the room, seeing Katie, Ivy, Grace, and Isabelle waiting by the room. I grabbed Isabelle.

Super: You're going to answer some questions.

Isabelle: Wait, what are you-

I started to drag her away. I took out my phone and quickly called Agent Smith. He answered the call.

Smith: Super. I was just about to leave the police station. Do you need me for something?

Super: I need you to interrogate Isabelle.

Isabelle: Interrogate?!

Smith: Really? About what?

Super: She knows about Growth.

Agent Smith went silent for a moment.

Smith: Ok. I'll set up a room to ask her some questions.

I stopped the call. I looked back at Isabelle, who looked at me with confusion.

Super: I hope you'll cooperate. It will be for the benefit of both of us.
