(Readers POV)

I made it to school. I looked around and don't see Katie, Ivy, Dave, or anyone else I talk to around. I shrugged and walked inside the building. I went to my locker and opened it, getting some stuff ready for class that's about to start. My locker got slammed closed. I looked over at who closed my locker and it's Ivy and Katie. They look pretty mad.

Ivy: Why didn't you answer any of my calls?!

Katie: Ivy called me last night, waking me up, telling me that you were in danger!

Katie and Ivy: You made us worried sick!

I put my hands up in defense.

(Y/N): I'm sorry I'm sorry. I was just busy last night, that's all.

Ivy: Oh yeah?! Busy with what?!

(Y/N): Um... St-

Katie: Don't you dare say stuff!

Crap, all out of ideas! What do I tell them?! That I was hanging out with another girl?! They're going to beat me up if I say that. I heard footsteps. I looked over and saw Grace walking up to us.

Grace: Yo, what's up with the shouting?

Yes! A ticket out of this mess!

(Y/N): Hey, Grace. How are you doing this fine morning?

Grace: I'm fine... Thanks for asking?

She looked at the angry Ivy and Katie then back at me.

Grace: What happened to these two? Katie wasn't like this when we arrived here.

(Y/N): Grace, can we talk for a second? Like, in private?

Ivy: Don't you dare get out of this-

Grace: Yep!

Grace grabbed my hand and started to lead me away from Ivy and Katie.

Katie and Ivy: Hey! Get back here!

Me and Grace turned a corner and walked into an empty room. I sighed and let go of Grace's hand.

(Y/N): Thanks for the save back there. I didn't want to get my butt kicked.

Grace: Don't worry about it. I knew you needed some help and I wasn't going to let a friend hanging.

Me and Grace went into awkward silence. Grace coughed and looked at me.

Grace: Do you actually need to talk?

I thought about it and remembered Isabelle.

(Y/N): Yeah, it's about Isabelle.

Grace: Is it good news?

(Y/N): I can confirm that she was forced to trying to kill me.

Grace smiled and some tears formed in the corner of her eyes.

Grace: That's great to hear! Now I know for certain that Isabelle isn't a big jerk on purpose!

Grace kissed me on my right cheek, making me blush subtly. Grace pulled back and her face also has some blush on it.

Grace: Thanks. You really didn't have to bother with telling me that.

(Y/N): I'm a nice guy, that's how Heroes act.

Grace: Well... Most Heroes.

Me and Grace laughed a bit. Grace gave me one more kiss on my cheek and she headed to the door.

Grace: We should be heading to class. Don't want to be late on technically our second day.

(Y/N): Right, let's get going.

We left the room together and headed to Chemist's class room. I was about to open the door, but it got slammed open. A bunch of smoke came out of the room. Chemist walked out of the smoke, while coughing, and waving the smoke away from her face.

Chemist: Who would've thought that some simple chemicals being mixed together would explode?!

Grace: You would...

Chemist: Yeah, I would know that. I'm glad I stopped myself from completely mixing the chemicals, otherwise it would've blown up the school!

(Y/N): That would not be good.

Chemist: Enough about me, let's get to teaching you!

She pushed me and Grace in her class. Me and Grace sat down at our seats. Grace swiped some ink in the air, making a fan. She turned the fan on, getting rid of the smoke around us. I saw students walking in, being careful they don't accidentally touch something, probably thinking anything could explode. I saw Ivy and Katie walk in. They sat down next to me.

(Y/N): Hey girls.

They crossed their arms and looked away from me.

(Y/N): Oh come on.

I guess that's what I get for running away from them. They ignore me. I heard the bell ring, meaning class has started.

Chemist: Alright class! Who's ready for science?! If you have a question, make sure to shout it out so I can hear it through the explosions!

(Lunchtime)

I got my lunch and went over to a table. I sat down and started to eat my food. I saw Ivy and Katie walking over.

(Y/N): Are you two still mad at me? You two haven't said a thing to me since I went to talk to Grace.

They sat down next to me, but still stayed silent. Why are they being so stubborn?

(Y/N): Are you two going to stay like this for the whole day?

They nodded their heads yes. I need to think of something to do. An idea popped into my mind.

(Y/N): Oh, you two are so mean to me. Robbing me the chance to hear your angelic voices after I couldn't for so long.

I saw Katie start to shake. She opened her mouth to say something, but Ivy glared at her.

Ivy: Don't fall for it.

Katie: Um...I...

It's working, at least on Katie.

(Y/N): Now I have to suffer through the whole day without a word from you two, the thought is too much to bare. It just tears my heart.

Katie wrapped her arms around me and snuggled her head on my chest.

Katie: I'm sorry! I never meant to hurt you like that! Please forgive me!

Ivy: No! Katie! You fell for it!

I stuck my tongue out at Ivy. Looks like I won this game.

(Y/N): It's ok, Katie. I forgive you.

Katie let go of me.

Katie: Thank you for forgiving me.

I laughed it off and began to eat my food again.

Ivy: Man. Katie, you have to be less nice every so often.

Katie: I just can't be mean to (Y/N).

I saw Grace, Dave, and Cody sit down at the table.

Grace: Do any of you know where Chris is at? He hasn't shown to a school at all.

Cody: I have no idea. The chances of anyone knowing at this table is 0%.

Ivy: I don't know. He could just be sick or something.

Cody: A fair conclusion.

Grace: I just can't shake this feeling.

(Y/N): You're being paranoid. Just calm down. Everyone is fine. Maybe Chris is still sleeping.

Grace: Right, my bad.

Everyone just talked about random stuff. After some time, the bell rung, meaning lunch is over.

(Grace's POV)

Me, (Y/N), Ivy, Katie, Dave, and Cody walked out of the cafeteria. We all headed to the gym, getting ready for combat class. Students walked in the gym, going to their seats. The bell ringed, making class start. Mr. Black walked up to the students.

Fox: Ok, class. I'll do something a little different today. Today's class will be tag teams. Two students will spar against two students. I will be choosing these tag teams, so I better not hear any complaints, got it?!

Students: Yes sir!

Fox: Good. First tag team will be Grace and (Y/N).

Me and (Y/N) stood up and walked onto the arena. I turned to face (Y/N).

Grace: Let's show whoever we're facing just how great we are!

(Y/N): Yeah... That.

Fox: I want Davidson and Katie to get up here! They will be the second tag team.

Dave: It's Dave!

Fox: Still don't care.

Dave and Katie got up and they went to the other side of the arena. I got my paint brush ready. This will be a piece of cake.

(Y/N): We need to be careful, Grace. Let's not get over confident.

Grace: Oh, right. We don't want to botch our victory.

Dave smiled and made a sword made out of fire.

Dave: Rival, it's about time to show you that I'll win this time.

Katie: Let's go! I know we can do this!

Dave: That's the spirit, fair maiden!

Fox: I hope everyone is ready! Now fight!
