(Readers POV)

I stared down at Gio for a moment. I dashed past him to get behind him. I kicked the back of his head, knocking him forward. I quickly caught up to him and knocked Gio down into the ground. I landed on the ground in front of him.

(Y/N): You can give up now... And save yourself a lot of pain.

Gio: Hehe... I love the pain!

I saw him quickly get up and dash at me. I got ready to block his attack. He started to spin around and punched my arms, knocking them down. I tried to counter attack, but a yellow aura surrounded Gio and he disappeared.

(Y/N): Damn it! Where did he go?!

I looked around and saw Gio on top of a building as he made a bunch more robots. I made a bunch of chains out of my energy and sent them at Gio. He jumped towards me and punched and kicked any chains that got close to him. I smirked as I noticed that all the chains he attacked are now all around him. I clenched my fists, making all of the chains wrap around his body.

(Y/N): You aren't getting out of this!

I dashed up and kicked Gio downward towards the ground. He hit the ground and bounced up from the impact. I came down, trying to continue my assault, but Gio used Revert to escape my chains and disappeared. I tried to look around for him, but I felt a powerful strike to the back of my head. I got sent forward, but a bunch of chains wrapped around me.

Gio: Right back at you!

I looked back and saw Gio standing there. I broke out of chains and landed on the ground.

(Y/N): Can you try using some original techniques?

Gio: They say mimicry is the greatest form of flattery.

(Y/N): I don't need flattery. Not from a wannabe "god".

Gio: Pot calling the kettle black.

I chuckled as I looked at Gio. He got confused before getting ready to fighting.

(Y/N): You're a man playing god. It's more accurate to say that I'm a god playing man.

Gio smirked as a bunch of crimson aura started to burst off his body. A bunch of shaking started to form on the ground.

Gio: ...Bet.

His energy started to raise up into the air and surrounded the entire planet, making the sky crimson with his energy.

Gio: Let's make this a battle worth remembering. I'm eager to fully reach into Mel's Power and use them in a way she could never.

I saw that Gio disappeared from sight. I felt the pressure of energy behind me. I turned around and saw Gio about to punch me. I bent back to barely dodge the punch. I raised my leg and tried to kick, but Gio bent forward to duck my kick. He tried to punch me with his other fist. I quickly flipped back and grabbed his neck by squeezing my legs against it. I put my hands on the ground and threw my legs towards my back, sending Gio up into the air.

(Y/N): You want to mimic me? Let's see you keep up.

I made a sword out of my energy and dashed up into the air, going fast enough to get above Gio. I tried to slash him, but he made a purple colored energy sword and used it to block my slash.

Gio: So tell me, Rival! You bare the same mark the villain known as Imperium?

Right, he has Mel's memories. Which means he knows about my connection with Imperium. We started to slash at each other, clashing blades. Gio managed to kick me in the stomach, knocking some air out of my lungs. Gio spun around and kicked me on the side of my head, knocking me to the side. I caught myself, but I saw that Gio is already in front of me. I grabbed both of his wrists. He tried to kick me, but I used both of my legs to block his.

Gio: Take this!

He opened his mouth as a mix red flames and crimson energy shot out, covering me.

(Y/N): He's combining Powers now?

I asked to myself. I made a small burst of energy, blowing the attack and Gio back. I felt a subtle pain go through my chest.

(Y/N): D-Dammit...

Even with this armor made from Davidson's Power help regulate my energy, I'm still losing energy at a fast rate. If this fight doesn't end soon... I might...

(Y/N): Can't be thinking about that... Not until I save her.

Gio: Aww, what's the matter? Getting tired from this fight? It's so sad that you don't have that woman to recharge your batteries.

I need to stay calm. I can't let him get to me. I heard the sounds of a helicopter nearby. I looked back and saw a news helicopter flying in the air. Gio quickly dashed over at it. I followed Gio. I managed to catch up and kicked the energy sword out of Gio's hands. We started to move so fast that the helicopter blades looked like they stopped. Me and Gio traded punches, fighting around the helicopter blades. I punched Gio in the stomach, making him cough up some blood. The blood hit me on the face and the blood started to turn into energy. I quickly moved my head back fast enough to get the blood off me.

Gio: Gotcha!

The blood gained a yellow aura and went to a previous position. I looked back and saw that it was now behind me. The blood went to a point in time where it would be behind me from when it was still inside Gio's body. The blood turned into small beams of crimson energy, piercing the black ice on my shoulder and into my shoulder.

(Y/N): Grr!

I looked at Gio as he got ready to launch another attack of red flames and crimson energy from his mouth. I made a pair of energy beams from my eyes, knocking Gio away. I took a deep breath.

News Woman: It would appear that a bunch of top Heroes are fighting a sudden horde of new robots! And the sky has turned a deep crimson color! It's like a war zone down here!

The news woman looked away from the camera and saw me flying nearby.

News Woman: King? No, that white hair. It's Rival! Rival! Please tell us what is going on!

I looked over at the camera. I can tell that it's on and broadcasting what it's recording.

(Y/N): Get out of here while you still can.

News Woman: It is looking bad, but you and the other top Heroes will stop this, right?!

I honestly am not sure how to answer that. I'm getting weaker and weaker by the second. I can't be wasting anymore time.

(Y/N): I need to go.

News Woman: Wait, Rival-

I dashed away to get over to Gio. Gio started to make even more robots to make everyone fight even more. I noticed that all of the robots started to fly in a specific.

(Y/N): Where are they...?

My eyes went wide when I realized which direction they were heading.

(Y/N): Everyone! Stop these robots as quickly as possible! They're trying to get to the safe place!

Gio started to clap his hands.

Gio: So observant of you.

Why would he want to go for the safe place specifically? Is it just to distract us? I saw Gio smiled wickedly.

Gio: So tell me who exactly is this "Aunt Brooklyn".

I felt a chill run up my spine. So that's his plan, to get Brooklyn. I quickly dashed over and started to punch Gio over and over again. I uppercutted him higher into the air. I looked up at him and saw that his face started to crack. Crimson energy spewed out of the cracks, raining down at me. I made a shield out of my energy to block the attacks. I punched my shield forward, making it hit Gio in the stomach. I took the opportunity to dash up and get behind Gio. I tried to punch him, but he dodged the attack and flipped backwards, kicking me down.

Gio: Now, take my hatred!

He raised his hand up, making a giant ball of crimson energy. He threw it down at me, but I caught it in my hands. I started to condense the ball to be smaller, but a yellow aura appeared around it, trying to make it bigger again.

(Y/N): Come on, stupid energy ball.

I saw Gio had appeared in front of me and made a ball of energy in his hand. He slammed it into the ball in my hands, making a huge explosion. I got launched down to the ground. I managed to land on my feet.

(Y/N): My energy... I'm getting weaker... But I'm not taking much damage from his attacks.

What is going on? Before I could think more, I heard a footstep behind me. I saw Gio, but he's completely crimson. I tried to punch him, but my fist went straight through him. I started to punch him much more, but it didn't do much. Gio punched me in the face, interrupting my attacks. I put my hands forward and let out energy. My energy went around Gio, keeping him in one spot. Gio started to fade away, revealing it was just a creation of his energy.

(Y/N): What?

I heard someone behind me. I looked back and saw Gio there. The real Gio.

Gio: Sorry, but I had to get a quick recharge. Did you enjoy that trick? I used a combination of my Power, Mel's Revert, and her Craftsmen to make it happen.

(Y/N): ...I get it now.

Gio: Hmm? Well I don't.

(Y/N): You know my weakness. Without Amethyst around, I'll die. Sooner or later.

Gio: Of course. At first I was worried about fighting you, but seeing where I stand now I'm fine to fight you head on.

(Y/N): I wouldn't be too sure about that.

Gio got ready to fight more.

Gio: What are you on about?

(Y/N): I've been getting weaker, yet you can't do significant damage to me.

Gio: Yeah, I know-

He stopped himself as he realized his new weakness too.

(Y/N): Bingo. Your Power, End, makes it so that the more you hate the stronger you are. And you HATE me, but you aren't you anymore. Mel is part of you now. Her love for her father is conflicting with your hate. The more you keep her absorbed, the weaker you get as well.

Gio grunted and launched several beams of his energy at me. I managed to dodge them. Gio ran up to me and tried to punch me, but I dodged it and kicked him in the stomach. Before he could be sent flying from my kick, I grabbed his arm and slammed him down onto the ground. He used Revert to get out of my grasp. I saw him up in the air and started to make a huge ball of his energy. I tried to fly at him, but he turned to look at me.

Gio: BACK OFF!!!

He started to breathe out red flames and crimson energy down onto me. I got sent downward from the attack. I saw Gio launch the ball down at the ground.

(Y/N): Is he trying to destroy the entire planet?!

No, if that thing goes off with nothing countering it, much more than the planet is going to get destroyed. I quickly got out of the flames and energy and managed to get underneath the ball and caught it in my hands. I felt my feet hit the ground. Gio clenched his fists, making the ball explode. I took a lot of the force, but strong winds started to blow from the force of the explosion, blowing everything back. I felt myself crash into a broken building and felt someone land on top of me. I opened my eyes and saw that it was Amethyst. Her body being completely white in color.

(Y/N): Amethyst...

I'm so sorry for what happened to you. I started to hug her body.

(Y/N): I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when you needed it most. You were always there for me when I needed it.

Dammit... To think I would fail this much.

Gio: Now that I recognize my weakness, I shall end this fight before it can get too dangerous for me.

I looked ahead and saw Gio slowly walking towards me.

Gio: But even in the worst case scenario, I will still have an edge. You might be gone, but the other top Heroes won't be much trouble in their weakened states from fighting all of those Code robots.

I saw that Gio pointed his hand over to the side and made a bunch of Code robots. They all dashed over in the direction Gio's hand is pointing. I looked over and saw a bunch of the robots attacking Ivy, Isabelle, Ashley, and Grace.

Ivy: They... They were just too many of them.

Gio: See? Those improvements I've been making to these Codes have been working wonderfully.

I noticed some robots carrying someone closer. They were struggling to get out of their grasp, but they couldn't escape.

(Y/N): Gah! Leave her alone!

I saw that the person they are carrying is Brooklyn.

Brooklyn: L-Let go of me!
