(Mel's POV)

I stared at the robot girl. I need to be careful of her Power that can stop me in one place. She quickly pointed her finger at me. I quickly made a portal underneath my feet, making me fall through it.

Code: Halt.

As I fell, I felt a few strands of my hair get stopped and they broke off my head. I exited out of another portal. My Power of Rewind doesn't work on her. She must have a Power that negates the abilities of other Powers.

Mel: She must have multiple Powers... I need to figure out what they are before I can try to seriously attack.

I saw the robot trying to find me. I made a bunch of portals around the robot girl. I started to dash through all the portals quickly, trying to see if she can lose track of me like this. I also used my Power of Craftsmen to make a bunch of dummies that look like me and have them go through the portals quickly.

Code: Halt.

She pointed upward, stopping some of the dummies in place, but the portals stayed in place. Other dummies went through the portals and collided into the frozen dummies and fell down to the ground.

Mel: So something can enter the Halt radius and still move.

The robot girl used her purple energy sword to slash the falling dummies apart. I started to breath out a bunch of red flames, making the flames go through the portals and making a dome around the robot. I need to get close to do some actual damage. Her Halt Power will stop me from using my Power.

Mel: Unless... That could work... But should I risk it?

Code: It is futile.

I saw the robot dash out of the dome of red flames and kicked me in the stomach, making me fly up into the air. I started to use the Rewind Power on myself, giving me a yellow aura. The robot girl pointed up at me.

Code: Halt.

I felt myself get frozen in the air, but the yellow aura stayed around me.

Code: Interesting.

I can still feel the heat coming from my heart... I can still use my Powers, even stuck like this!

Mel: Heh. Seems like Rewind can do a lot more than I thought.

I made a portal and had it move into me, making me exit out of a portal behind the robot. I can move my body again as I managed to punch and kick the robot in the back.

Code: I don't know what you did, but that won't matter.

She turned around and tried to slash her energy sword at me. I quickly made an energy sword myself, being blue in color and used it to block her slash.

Code: A copy of my sword?

Mel: Not quite. I don't know exactly how your sword is made, so I had to improvise some of the parts.

We started to clash sword swings. Our energy swords tried to eat through each other, but it seems my sword actually matched up in quality with her's.

Code: How? My father had to go through so many iterations of this sword.

Mel: Really now? I guess he just doesn't have my ingenuity, that's all.

We started to clash our swords more. I quickly did a sweeping kick, knocking the robot off balance. I managed to disarm her from her sword and grabbed it. She kicked me in the stomach and took my sword away from me. I jumped back to get some distance.

Code: I will have to test how your ingenuity stacks up. Allow me to test this sword on you?

Mel: Go ahead. However, I think you will find trouble with that.

She looked down at the sword and was stuck to her hand.

Mel: Remember when I mentioned that I had to improvise some parts? I made the handle with a strong magnetic metal. You aren't going to let go of it anytime soon.

Code: And? Is that supposed to give you an advantage?

I smiled and adjusted my glasses.

Mel: That sword I made has a special property. If it detects that anyone but me is holding it, it will self destruct.

The sword started to let out a beeping noise before quickly exploding, knocking the robot girl up into the air.

Mel: Now's my chance to finish this.

I created a small black hole in my hand, using it to destroy the purple energy sword. I got rid of the black hole and made a giant cannon. I made a small pin and poked the tip of my finger, making blood escape from where I poked. I let the blood drip into the cannon.

Mel: This should work.

I used my Power of Craftsmen to make a bunch of blood that is fundamentally the same as my blood. That created blood wouldn't normally be able to turn into energy, but having even a drop of my actual blood in the mix will make it all be able to turn into energy.

Mel: There. It should be ready.

I looked back and saw that the robot girl is flying in the air. She tried to dash down at me. I quickly breathed out some red flames to ignite the cannon. The blood inside started to turn into energy and a large beam of energy shot out of the cannon.

Code: Ah!

She managed to barely dodge the energy blast.

Code: Sorry, but your aiming coordinates were off!

Mel: Then allow me to take another shot.

Code: Like I will give you the time.

Mel: I won't need it.

I quickly pointed at the energy beam in the sky and used Rewind on the energy, making it start to travel backwards and back into the cannon. The energy beam went back forward, trying to hit the robot girl again.

Code: You really are a nuisance! Maybe even more than King himself!

I started to constantly use Rewind on the energy beam to try and hit the robot. After a few tries, I saw the energy beam connect, breaking off her arm entirely. She fell down to the ground and her arm shortly after.

Mel: Listen, I would love to continue this, but you are in the way of me protecting my siblings. It's nothing personal, but I'm going to end this.

Code: No... I can't let you end me here! I need to protect them and get revenge!

She stared at me with her eyes full of life. She is determined to stop me here. Gaining Powers really did give her an indomitable spirit.

Code: Halt!

I felt my body stop. I looked over and saw the robot arm that came off of her body is pointing at me. I used my Power to make a bunch of portals and have them move towards the robot to sandwich her.

Mel: Have you ever wandered what happens to something when it's going through portals that are overlapping?

She looked around, trying to find an opening. Her used her other arm to point at the arm on the ground. The broken off arm suddenly came back to her.

Code: Being given a magnetic Power really did work in my favor.

She pointed her newly attached arm at a portal.

Code: Halt.

All of the portals suddenly stopped.

Mel: What? I thought that it only stopped in the direction you point?

Code: It seems the effect of Halt can travel through portals.

Crap, I need stop using portals, just in case now. I got rid of all the portals and breathed a bunch of red fire down at the ground to hide myself.

Code: You can't hide from me.

I saw the robot dash through the flames and quickly found me. She kicked me in the stomach, knocking me out of the flames. I used Craftsmen to make a bunch of thick steam around me along with a bunch of dummies.

Code: The dummies won't help.

I heard behind me. I looked back and felt a powerful punch in my face. I got knocked backwards out of the steam and into a building wall.

Mel: She's able to perfectly track me...

I took a deep breath as I tried to think how. The only thing I can think of is her kicking me earlier before I even tried a hiding strategy.

Mel: ...That's it. She must have a Power that allows her to track people after contact.

Code: You really are more dangerous than King. He never even picked up on me having such an ability in the first place. I believe we should've put more research onto you and your siblings. The children of Rival. And in your case, child of Replica.

She knows who my mother is?! She must know the rest of my mothers are too then. I saw the robot walking towards me. I put my hand up to signal her to stop. She did so, but with a confused look. I took my glasses off and wiped the lenses clean from the steam. I put my glasses back on and can see normally again.

Mel: Thanks. It was getting hard to see.

I need to think of a strategy. I can't go back to get help from any of my mothers since the robot will just be able to track me. She wasn't able to track King, so there must be some kind of limit. Maybe a time limit?

Code: Don't try to call for help. My father is monitoring any and all radio signals in the area.

Crap, there goes that way of communication and... Wait.

Mel: How did you know I was thinking about something like that?

Code: Humans are quite predictable when pushed into a corner. It isn't that hard to calculate-

She was interrupted by a giant pillar of red flames and light and dark energy quite the ways away in the city. The pillar of flames and energy went all the way into space with no signs of stopping. We both stared at it.

Mel: Drake found her.

Code: What kind of strength is that? I almost mistook it for Rival and King for a moment.

I need to get Drake, Aurora, Minerva, Amy, and Horace and get to father. I know where all of them are, so it shouldn't be that hard to get all of us to him. I wanted to execute that idea, but the robot girl dashed over at me and tried to punch me. I used Rewind to dodge the punch.

Code: I will not let you get an opening to retreat. You will only leave when you lose your life.

Crap, she's predicting what plans I'm coming up with. I need to try to be as unpredictable as possible.

(Horace's POV) (Right After Going Through Mel's Portal)

Me, Amy, and Minerva all saw Mel quickly close her portal before we could stop her. I was about to use Rewind to get back to Mel, but Amy stopped me.

Amy: Mel told us to deal with the explosion boy.

Horace: But that robot is dangerous. We have to help big sis with it.

Minerva: It's Mel we're talking about. She's literally a combination of us and then some.

Minerva walked up to me.

Minerva: We need to have faith in her. And if all else fails, she can easily contact our parents.

Horace: Yeah, but...

Amy: Mel had faith in us stopping that boy. We should give her the same treatment.

I took a deep breath and nodded my head. Mel wouldn't want me questioning myself or her, especially in this kind of situation. Me, Amy, and Minerva all ran ahead and saw him. The boy exploding several buildings with his Power.

Ifrit: Where are they hiding?! They have to be somewhere nearby!

Before anyone of us could get closer to him, he turned to look at us and sent a large explosion our way. I used Rewind to send the explosion back to the source, making the boy jump away from it.

Ifrit: So it's you again! This time, I'll make sure to kill you!

Horace: You try to hurt my family...

I took off my hoodie, staring at the boy.

Horace: Then I won't hesitate to do the same to you.

He grunted before letting out a loud scream as lava like tears came from his eyes and a bunch of heat came off his body.

Ifrit: I'd love to see you try me!
