(Aurora's POV)

I stared at the dome of darkness as it died down and disappeared. I stopped using my Power, making me let out a deep breath as I fell down to my knees. I began to pant, exhausted from what I just did.

Aurora: That strength...

I said to myself. I snapped myself out of those thoughts as I remembered Drake. I got up and started to run over to where Drake's body is. After a bit of running, I found his body laying down in the middle of a road. I ran over to it and went down to my knees.

Aurora: Drake! Drake!

I flipped his body around and can see the hole in his chest. There isn't a heart, or most of his lung left.

Aurora: No... I wasn't strong enough when I needed it...

Tears started to flow from my eyes, falling down onto Drake's motionless body. I heard numerous footsteps coming this way. I looked over and saw Mel, Minerva, Amy, and Horace running over.

Mel: Aurora! Drake! Are you two ok-

She stopped herself when she say Drake's body. The siblings stood there in shock for a moment, not believing what their eyes are showing them. I wish this was just some kind of trick too.

(Moments Before) (Mel's POV)

Me, Minerva, and Horace managed to get the berserk boy's attention. He looked at us, the heat coming from his body is rather intense. But a three on one will easily even this out.

Ifrit: It's you again!

Horace: I still haven't forgiven you for what you tried to do.

Horace took his hoodie off, revealing his face. He stared at the boy.

Ifrit: You think I won't hesitate to kill you all?! You all hurt my friends! No matter when it happens! It's unforgivable!

Minerva: So Mel? Any ideas how to deal with this guy?

Mel: Horace did figure out how to use his Power to use his heat against him. So me and Horace will just reuse that strategy. You will be our backup. Maybe a portal or two to redirect his energy back at him in case he dodges.

Minerva: Right. Man, you really thought about all of that on the spot.

Horace: No. Mel probably thought of plans to deal with these people ever since the forest. In case we encountered them again. That's why you asked for me and Minerva to assist, right?

Mel: Perceptive of you, Horace.

I smiled at them before quickly looking at the boy. Before we could engage, a large dome of dark energy appeared in the city. Even with numerous large buildings in the way, we could all still easily see it.

Horace: What is that thing?

Minerva: Doesn't look like we should go near it.

A bunch of balls made out of light shot out from the dome in all directions. They started to hit the boy, making him get knocked back.

Ifrit: Who is doing this?!

I quickly got in front of Minerva and Horace and made a large portal in front of us. All the balls of light that came in our direction went into the portal. I quickly made the other portal in front of the boy, making him get hit with more.

Ifrit: Gah! I need to leave! Dammit!

He quickly jumped away, retreating. I wanted to chase after him to capture him, but something was telling me to not do that. I looked at the dome of dark energy until it disappeared.

Minerva: It's gone now?

Mel: We should check out what that was.

Horace: Right. It didn't look like it came from a Hero nearby.

The three of us decided to run towards where the dome was. We managed to run into Amy.

Amy: Are you guys checking out what that dome was too?

Mel: What about our classmates?

Amy: We managed to destroy those robots and they are hiding out in a safe space.

As we continued to run down the numerous destroyed streets, we saw Aurora and Drake in the distance. They look to be beaten up. Did they get into an altercation?

(Present)

Mel: Drake!

I ran forward to get to Drake and checked the condition of his body. One of his horns is broken off and there is a hole in his chest that goes through to his back.

Horace: What happened to big bro?!

Horace, Minerva, and Amy all ran up to. I saw Aurora start to break down as more tears escaped her eyes.

Aurora: I couldn't save him...

Mel: No! This isn't going to end here!

I quickly put my hand inside the hole in Drake's chest and made a piece of new lung to restore the lung he lost. I also made a new heart with red flames from my heart.

Mel: I'm not going to lose you! I'm your older sister!

I shouted as I started to pump the newly attached heart. Red flames started to course through his body, returning the heat to Drake's body.

Mel: Come on Drake! I know you wouldn't let it end like this! Wake up already!

I'm in denial. I didn't want to admit it. I wanted there to be the chance that I can save Drake. I have to! It's my duty as his elder sister.

Aurora: Why don't you just use your revert Power?

Horace: Me and Mel can't use our Power like that. We can't just bring someone back from the dead that way.

Yeah, it's just the old fashioned way for this.

Mel: Horace! CPR!

Horace: R-Right!

Horace bent down and started to give Drake CPR, trying to give his lungs oxygen. I kept pumping and pumping his heart, hoping that it will start doing it itself.

Mel: Minerva! Amy! He needs more blood!

They nodded at me. Minerva created a machine with two tubes on it. The two tubes have a sharp thin needle on the end of them. Amy took one of the tubes and stabbed the needle into her arm and into one of her veins. Minerva took the other tube and stabbed it into Drake's arm, making the needle go into one of his veins. She turned the machine on and blood started to pump out of Amy's arm and into Drake's.

Aurora: Are you sure that's safe? What if-

Mel: We all have the same blood type. The same as our father's.

I watched Aurora just watch. I can tell she feels like a burden right now.

Mel: Did you avenge Drake?

Aurora: ...Y-Yeah... I did...

I smiled at her.

Mel: You did plenty. Let us take care of the rest.

I looked back at Drake's body. Even after what everyone is doing, it doesn't look like it's doing much. After about a minute, Drake didn't open his eyes. The situation started to catch up with everyone. I tried my best not to cry and still hold onto the hope that this will work. I tried not to cry, but tears are still forcing their way out of my eyes.

Minerva: Drake... Is he really gone?

Amy: Big bro...

Mel: Drake! Wake up! Stop being lazy! Now's not the time to mess around with us!

I felt a hand on my shoulder.

Amy: M-Mel.

Mel: No! I'm not going to stop! I can't!

(Y/N): You can. I'll take it from here.

I froze for a moment until I looked back and saw father standing behind me. His hand was one my shoulder. Everyone else took a step back as father walked up to Drake's body and put his hand on it. Father's energy spread out across Drake's body, healing it except for the broken off horn.

(Y/N): ...

Horace: Dad? Is he gonna be...

(Y/N): ...

He just stared at Drake. I noticed that father started to flinch. He's running out of energy. He's putting so much of his energy into Drake, hoping that will be enough to restore him.

Aurora: R-Rival! You better save him!

(Y/N): I'm a Hero. It's what I do.

After a few more moments, father smiled to him. Drake's body started to move a bit until his eyes shot open. Drake sat up and took several deep breaths. He put his hand over his chest where is heart his.

Drake: What the hell happened?!

(Y/N): You almost died.

Drake: What?!

He looked down at the ground and started to think about some stuff. Father smiled more as he looked at everyone else.

(Y/N): Thank you all by the way. If you all didn't try to keep him alive, I wouldn't have made it in time.

I saw Aurora wipe her tears away before tackling Drake into a hug. She hid her face in Drake's chest.

Drake: A-Ah!

Drake just wrapped his arms around Aurora and held her close to him. Father leaned over to me and started to whisper in my ear.

(Y/N): Hey. Are those two like a thing now?

Mel: They have been for a bit now.

I whispered back to him.

(Y/N): ...Nice.

Amy: Wait, how did you get here?

Amy asked father. He put his hands on his hips.

(Y/N): Well I was trying to deal with all the stray robots around the city, but I felt something was wrong. After that large dome of energy, I immediately went off to investigate.

Minerva: What about the city and it being attacked?

(Y/N): From what I've seen and been told by numerous other Heroes, the robots and such are fleeing. So it's best that we all get you to the safe place with the rest of your classmates and civilians.

Everyone nodded their head and got up. We all started to head for the safe place and wait there.

(Readers POV)

I saw my kids and Aurora walk ahead. I felt a pain shoot through my body, making me fall to one knee for a moment. I took a deep breath and stood straight.

(Y/N): Damn... I used a lot of energy to heal Drake there.

I started to walk forward and managed to catch up with everyone. From my estimation, I have about 15 minutes left until I run out of energy and that's without fighting. I managed to keep my cool and act like I'm not running out of energy to make sure everyone else feels safe around me.

(Y/N): It shouldn't be that far from here.

I looked at Aurora and noticed that something is different about her. The bangs of her hair now has a tuft of navy blue hair, contrasting with her bright blonde hair. So that energy was her. Her Power must've Leveled Up. I can tell. Her changes go further than just a bit of her hair.

(Y/N): Hey Drake.

Drake: Yeah?

(Y/N): How about we all keep this a secret to your mother? At least for the moment.

Drake: Yeah. I don't want her to worry about me for no reason.

As we walked, I looked at Mel and Minerva.

(Y/N): Say. Not to sound needy or anything, but can't either of you make a portal to the safe place?

Mel: Father, we had to deal with an angry boy for awhile and had to keep Drake alive. We don't have the necessary energy to do so.

Dammit, If only Amethyst was nearby. This wouldn't be an issue.

(Davidson's POV)

I looked around the shelter where all the students and citizens of the city are at. It was a bit cramped, but there's enough room where it won't be much of a problem. I saw my mother walking up towards me.

Top: Where is Rival? Where are his children? And where is my granddaughter?

Davidson: Rival went out in his own to find them.

Top: And I noticed without Amethyst. She ran off to find him. Doesn't he realize how dangerous that is?

Davidson: I know. If he uses too much energy, he'll be dead.

Top: If that robot girl is as big of a threat as you say she is, we are going to need Rival here to protect everyone.

Davidson: I am more than enough.

Top: And what if the villains have a second robot like her? Or a third? Or even more?

I just crossed my arms and leaned back against the wall.

Top: I'm leaving.

She said, walking towards the exit. I put my hand on her shoulder.

Davidson: Where are you going?

Top: I'm going to find them. We need those people alive and well. If you didn't notice, your child and Rival's children are too important to be left out in the open like that.

Davidson: Then let me do it.

Top: And let the best line of defense we have for all of these people right now?

She pushed my hand off her shoulder and left the shelter. I just scoffed.

Davidson: Mother is as stubborn as always.

I looked over to everyone. They are talking to themselves and I can tell they are worried.

Davidson: Is everyone here accounted for?! Is there anyone you know that isn't here yet?!

Everyone looked at me and stayed quiet for awhile. I saw a little girl walk up to me.

Little girl: M-My daddy still isn't here.

She said with tears in her eyes. I kneeled down and put my hand on top of her head.

Davidson: It's going to be alright. What's his name?

I saw the girl's mother walk up and pick her up.

Mother: My husband's name is John. He left to go somewhere earlier today and I haven't heard from him since.

I nodded my head as I stood back up. I brought my arm up and started to press some buttons on my special wristwatch.

Davidson: All available Heroes outside. Please be in the search for a man named John.

I looked at the woman and asked for his description. She told me all of his features and spoke them into my wristwatch.

Davidson: Make sure to look out for that man while you clear out the robot threat.

I brought my arm down. I saw the little girl looking at me while wiping her tears away.

Little girl: Is my daddy going to be here?

I gently smiled at her. She reminds me of Aurora when she was younger.

Davidson: You have my word. The King wouldn't ever lie to the citizens of his kingdom.

The little girl managed to smile back at me. Good to see someone still has faith that this will end up well, even if it's from the endless optimism of a child. I saw Katie walk into the room and did a light shout to get everyone's attention.

Katie: Thank you all for staying calm. Heroes in the room behind me are working on making some food for people who need to eat.

I saw the cooking Hero, A-Chef peak from Katie's shoulder.

A-Chef: I promise you will all feel at ease with just one bite of my food.

(Top's POV)

I jumped from building to building, trying to find anyone at the moment. As I jumped off a building, some robots tried to attack me. I slashed them all in half with one attack and they exploded shortly afterwards. I looked around and saw (Y/N), his kids, and Aurora walking down the street. I dashed over to them.

Top: There you idiots are.

(Y/N): Harsh coming from you.

Aurora: Grandma!

Aurora stopped hugging the boy with two red horns on his head, one of them being broken, and ran over to hug me. I couldn't help but smile a bit and put my hand on her back, patting it.

Top: Glad to see you all aren't hurt. For the most part.

I glared at (Y/N). I can tell that he's barely keeping composure. He's about to run out of energy.

Top: Amethyst is looking for you.

(Y/N): I figured. I already sent her a message to meet me at the safe place.

Top: And from what it looks like, you need her Power now.

All the kids took a step back and looked at him.

Mel: How much energy did you use to heal Drake?

(Y/N): ...A lot. Honestly, if I get into a fight right now, I'll only last about 10 seconds.

I gritted my teeth. I walked up to him and pointed my trident up to his neck.

Top: You are a fool. You should've left with Amethyst.

(Y/N): Listen, it was for a good reason. If I didn't leave and did what I did then, Drake wouldn't be walking anymore.

I looked at the horned boy. So that's how it is...

Top: I apologize. We are getting you to the shelter quickly. I refuse to let the person I trained and the child of the Hero I rivaled to fall here.

(Y/N): Thanks for the concern, but I'm an adult. I can look after-

We were interrupted by a large explosion of crimson colored energy off in the distance.

Minerva: That energy...

(Y/N): It's Gio's. Dammit, if only I could fight.

Top: Let me take care of this.

Aurora: Grandma! Let me help you! My Power, it Leveled Up! I can help you stop him!

I looked at my granddaughter and smiled at her and put my hand on her shoulder.

Top: Really?

Aurora: Yes Grandma! I want to be a Hero!

Top: Alright.

I brought my hand back and quickly chopped the back of her neck, knocking her out.

Drake: Aurora!

He ran over and picked her up from the ground.

(Y/N): Top.

Top: I can't let her. It's too dangerous for her and I can tell she could barely stand. You all need to get to safety.

I heard my wristwatch beep. I looked at it and it's a message from Agent Smith.

Smith: This attack is caused by a boy named Giovanni, a girl named Elda, another boy named Ifrit, and some old man that I couldn't get the name of. The old man seems to be responsible for making all the robots.

I saw the screen on my wristwatch showing what looks like images that Agent Smith took of the people he mentioned. It looks like they were in some huge group meeting with a bunch of citizens.

Smith: If you see any of these people, capture them. They are dangerous. Don't be alone. Make sure to have at least two other Heroes watching your back if you attempt to capture them. Do not engage if you think you can't get the job done. Call nearby Heroes with their location if spotted. Be careful if you do engage. They somehow have the ability to take away your Power. I repeat, they have the ability to take away your Power. That is all. I will give more information when I find out more about them.

(Y/N): Crap. It really was the worst time to not be in fighting condition.

Top: I'm going to capture Giovanni. Get away from here.

(Y/N): You shouldn't. Not alone. Wait for Amethyst to restore-

I pointed my trident at him, making him stop talking.

Top: Are you going against your teacher?

We stared down each other for what felt like forever. Eventually he nodded his head and started to walk away.

(Y/N): Cmon kids. Let's get back to the safe place. Your mothers will be excited to see you all.

They all started to walk away. (Y/N) looked back at me.

(Y/N): Top. Hold out for me. Once I'm able to, I'm coming to rescue you.

They all walked off. I immediately dashed over to where the crimson energy was at. So many emotions and feelings going through my body right now, but I can't let those get in the way.

Top: A Hero doesn't fear an outcome. They just fight for what is right. Isn't that it, Super? That's something you would say right about now.

I asked to myself as I ran past destroyed buildings left and right, cutting through robots as I ran into them. I saw a man that fit the description of the man named John that Davidson gave out a bit ago. He's stuck under a bunch of rubble and Giovanni is using his Power to fly and pointed his hand at John.

Gio: I think you were in the meeting. I'm not sure how you got out of there, but know that your life will serve a worthy cause.

John: C-Crap! D-Don't kill me! Please! I have a wife and daughter!

Gio: I'll be sure to give them my condolences.

John: N-No! Someone! Help!

Giovanni launched a ball of crimson energy at John. I dashed forward and got in front of John and slashed the ball of energy in half, making it get destroyed.

Gio: Huh?

Top: Really? You like causing trouble that much?

John: T-Top?

Top: Wasn't it my son to tell you to watch what happens when a threat appears? I'll handle this.

I stared at Giovanni and readied myself for a fight. I took a deep breath, calming my nerves and tightly clenching onto my trident.
