(One Day Later) (Readers POV)

I am at my house, packing up somethings. It's about 5:30 AM. The people have been... Interesting ever since I had to cancel the tournament. I heard someone walking towards me. I looked back and saw Katie.

Katie: Honey. Are you sure this is a good idea?

(Y/N): Heh, it's the best I can do.

Katie: But... The news, the internet... It's not doing well.

(Y/N): I know. I'm counting on you and the others to handle that while I take the kids and... Give them something to think about.

I saw Ivy walk into the room.

Ivy: So you want us to play damage control while you leave? The public is going to notice that.

(Y/N): Don't worry, I'm sure that won't be much of an issue.

Ivy: Why is that?

(Y/N): Because... I set up a meeting with you, Katie, and Davidson to answer the burning questions that the public has at the moment. Should buy me enough time.

Ivy: Really?! You could've told me before. You owe me a dinner.

I laughed a bit while rubbing the back of my head. Grace walked in.

Grace: Nice plan. But what about Turbo? The old man almost had a panic attack.

(Y/N): Right, that. Isabelle said that she is taking care of that.

Grace: Perfect. You got a plan to help Amethyst?

(Y/N): I'm sorry, what?

Grace: Growth is here and talking her ears off with random ramblings and whatever.

(Y/N): Alright, I'll go see what's happening. Can you three finish packing my stuff?

Katie: Of course, anything for you honey!

I smiled and quickly gave Katie, Ivy, and Grace a kiss before walking into the living room, seeing Growth and Amethyst sitting on the couch. Growth holding onto a cane.

Growth: You know, back then. I used to believe that Powers weren't good. (Y/N), however, he thinks that Powers can do so much more good. I believe that you reflect that belief of his.

Amethyst: That's... Very kind of you to say to me, Mr. Growth.

Growth: Please, just call me Growth. That reminds me of another time-

Amethyst noticed me watching the scene.

Amethyst: Oh, Rival! I didn't see you there!

Growth: Ah, (Y/N). I was just telling young Amethyst about... Uh, what was it Amethyst? Eh, I'm sure it was nothing.

Amethyst got up and walked over to me.

Amethyst: Is everything ready to go?

(Y/N): Should be. Kids! It's time to wake up!

I heard some doors open and saw my five kids walking into the room, all looking tired and wearing their pajamas. Horace is still wearing a hoodie. He... Wears that to sleep?

Mel: Father. You getting us up at this time must mean it's important.

(Y/N): You got that right Mel... I am taking you all to a camping trip!

Amethyst: Isn't that exciting?!

(Drake's POV)

I got confused. This is coming out of nowhere. I'm glad that dad wants to spend time with us, but it's just so... Out of character.

Minerva: Ugh! Can I go back to sleep?

(Y/N): Oh?

Mel: Minerva. You shouldn't talk to our father like that.

Minerva: Alright... I'm sorry. I'm just tired.

(Y/N): You shouldn't be sorry. I understand this is sudden, but I think it will help a lot.

Mel: Shall we start packing our things?

(Y/N): That won't be necessary. I'm already bringing everything that we need.

(Readers POV)

I saw Katie walk into the living room and handed me a bag with my stuff in it.

(Y/N): Thanks a lot.

I gave her a kiss. She giggled and wrapped her arms around me.

Katie: It was nothing.

(Y/N): But you kids should get changed. Pajamas aren't good for where we are going.

I saw my kids walk back into their rooms to get changed. I walked over to the front door, with Amethyst following behind me. I was about to open the door.

Growth: Amethyst, please remember what I told you.

Amethyst looked over at Growth. She nodded her head. I opened the door and saw Ashley stand on the other side.

Ashley: Surprise kiss!

She gave me a kiss on the lips. I chuckled and gave her a hug.

(Y/N): What did I do to deserve such lovely wives?

Ashley: Being yourself.

Me and Ashley had a quick laugh. I let go of her and walked past her. I walked over to a van and opened the door. I put my bag inside.

Amethyst: You aren't going to be harsh on them, are you?

(Y/N): No... Not yet at least. I'll treat them before I start their training.

Amethyst: I hope you hold back for their sake.

(Y/N): Why do you think you're coming with?

I heard the door to the house open up. I looked over and saw my kids walking outside.

Amy: The van? It hasn't been used in awhile. You drive it?

(Y/N): Well it will be my first time driving it.

Horace: Huh?

(Y/N): I just got my driving license about a month ago. Hehe.

I saw my kids were shocked with varying levels.

Drake: Why didn't you have it?! We all have our driving licenses!

(Y/N): I didn't see a need until now. I can go anywhere on the planet in an instant.

Amethyst: Now let's get going! It's going to be a fun day!

I got in the van and got in the driver seat. Amethyst got in and is sitting in the passenger seat. I saw my kids get in and are sitting in the back seats.

(Y/N): Oh, before we get to the camping place, we are going to make a few stops. Ok?

Mel: Of course, father. Please, do what you need to.

Man, Katie raised Mel to be very respectful. Mel really is adorable.

(Isabelle's POV)

I walked into the interrogation room. I saw Turbo sitting at the table. I walked over and put a glass of water on the table in front of him.

Turbo: Thank you.

He grabbed it and drank all of it quickly. I can tell, he's worried.

Isabelle: So what's going on with you? You run over towards me and everyone else, wanting to know where Giovanni is. And right after, a bunch of robots invaded the tournament-

Turbo: If you think I had something to do with that, I didn't.

I studied Turbo. I can tell that he's being truthful.

Isabelle: Why do you want Giovanni?

Turbo: ...It's his Power... I was watching the tournament on tv and when I saw his match... His energy... It was Chris's.

Isabelle: Chris's energy? You are taking about the same Chris that you trained all those years-

Turbo: Yes! I'm talking about him!

He shouted at me. I just glared at him. He took a deep breath and apologized.

Turbo: That's Chris's kid. It just has to be.

Isabelle: I did hear about the unfortunate murder of Chris that happened about 2 years ago. Are you saying... That Giovanni is responsible for that?

Turbo: ...Yeah, how else would he get Chris's Power?

I started to think about this. I heard the earpiece I'm wearing let out a small beep.

Cody: Timer, I'm listening in.

Isabelle: Perfect. So? What's the probability of Giovanni being Chris's son?

Cody: It's at a 50% chance right now. We can have their DNA compared to confirm or deny this.

I nodded my head and turned my earpiece off.

Isabelle: Now, let me ask a few more questions.

Turbo: ...Go ahead. As long as you promise me that you get justice for Chris.

Isabelle: ...I promise.

(Readers POV)

I am driving the van. I looked over at Amethyst, who is looking at a phone with a map on it.

(Y/N): Am I going the right way?

Amethyst: Yes you are.

(Y/N): Thank goodness.

Horace: Where... Are we going?

Amy: It's a bunch of rich houses.

I smiled to myself as I kept driving. I stopped the van in front of the biggest house. No, the biggest mansion.

Minerva: That's one hell of a house.

I opened the car door and stepped out of the van.

(Y/N): Oi! I'm here to pick you up!

I saw the door on the mansion open, revealing Solana and Aurora.

Drake: Aurora?!

I saw them walking towards me. I gave them a big smile as I waved at them.

Aurora: Hello Rival. I thank you for wanting me to take me with you.

(Y/N): It's no problem. Get in the van and we'll be leaving soon.

Aurora nodded her head and entered the van. I turned to look at Solana.

(Y/N): You got her to rehearse that line or something?

Solana: I have to make sure my daughter knows how to talk to Number 2.

I just smirked to myself and put my hands on my hips.

Solana: I shall be off. You were late, interrupted my wine time.

(Y/N): My bad.

Solana took a step closer and stared at me.

Solana: If something happens to her and you will regret doing this.

Solana walked off and entered back into her house. I got back into the van. I saw Aurora sitting next to Drake. I started to drive away.

Amethyst: It's nice having so many people together.

(Y/N): Yeah, it really does.

I looked in the mirror, looking at Drake and Aurora. They were talking about something. Ivy told me about Drake's crush on Aurora.

(Y/N): Get her, tiger.

I whispered to myself.

(Davidson's POV)

Me, Katie, and Ivy are sitting at a table. A ton of people are standing in front of us. I can see tons of cameras taking pictures and several news cameras.

Ivy: I think we are ready to start.

Davidson: Remember, choose your words carefully.

I stood up, making everyone start to talk. Katie and Ivy stood up too.

Davidson: I would like to thank you all for showing up. I know you all have questions.

News Reporter: What was with those robots that attacked during the tournament?

Davidson: We are currently unaware of their origin, however we have Heroes working to figure that out as we speak.

News Reporter: Those robots hurt two students during the tournament, one of them being your daughter. Are you sure that the students will be safe?

You really had to point out it was my daughter?

Katie: Yes, we can. Though the robot attack was a surprise to everyone, we promise that the students are in safe hands.

News Reporter: What about the students?

Ivy: We are giving all of them a week off of school to help them recover mentally from this event.

Before the reporter could ask another question, I saw a group of people holding signs walking up towards us. I read the signs and let out a sigh. It's those people against Heroes.

John: What happened at the tournament was wrong!

Ivy: Well, yeah.

John: Not just the robots! It's the students! They are just young children!

Davidson: We have to train them to make them strong.

John: Really?! What everyone saw was just putting children to fight for the whole world to see! You saw how the students Drake and Aurora fought! They were going to kill each other! Just what are you teaching those children?! Your own daughter-

Davidson: Enough!

I shouted at the man. Everyone stayed silent. Ivy and Katie are looking at me.

Ivy: And you tell us to choose our words carefully.

She whispered. I let out a sigh as I looked at the man.

Davidson: I know you don't like me very much. But Drake and Aurora took their fight too far. Me and Rival stopped the match before it could escalate.

John: The fight went too far way before you two stepped in! You should've done it sooner! Speaking of Rival, where is he?!

Katie: Rival is on a mission. He's a very busy person.

John: Or he's hiding from us! He doesn't want to confront his mistakes! He just wants to watch kids kill each other!

Davidson: We have to prepare those students for villains. Do you think villains are going to stoop down to your level and show them mercy?! Villains will kill at any chance they get!

John: Then maybe you should just get rid of all the villains already!

???: Enough!

Everyone looked over where the voice came from. I saw that it was my mother, Top. She's still wearing her armor and cape. Even if she has gotten older, she is still working as a Hero. Her hair is much longer and there are several grey streaks in it.

Top: King, keep your head straight.

I just nodded my head.

Top: You! I can tell you are just trying to cause trouble.

John: I am simply doing my job of voicing the concern of millions of people!

Top: And trying to make King blow a fuse because you keep trying to say he's a bad parent. No one likes to hear that.

John: I never said-

Top: You implied it.

Mom walked over to stand in front of the table.

Top: You all shouldn't worry.

John: Ma'am, if I may just ask one more question.

Top: Just speak.

John: How can we just rest easy? The last time a child almost died at a tournament was 20 years ago. Numerous attacks that threatened countless lives showed up afterwards. Everyone knows that just can't be a coincidence. The same thing will happen again, won't it?

Top: ...Hmph. I heard 2 questions there.

John: We lost several top Heroes at the time. How can we be promised our safety?

Davidson: Then watch when a threat does show up. This is over.

I started to walk away from the scene. This ended up bad. Damn Rival, you really have to put us on the spot like that.
